Amy Sent on 11/20/2009We had Michelle (The Wedding Cake Lady at the Mt Pleasant Piggly Wiggly) design out wedding cake. She was fabulous! She made a cake that exactly matched out theme and colors and the cake itself was to die for! I can't wait for my anniversary to taste it again! :) -

Lauren Sent on 04/24/2009I have to agree with the previous bride. Michelle is AWSOME! My wedding planner recommended her to me during one of our first meetings. I had actually already booked another baker but he insisted that I just go by and meet her. He was soooo right! One cake tasting later I was hooked. Her cake flavors were so increditable that I couldn't believe they were from the pig. My favorite was a chocolate cake layered with peanut butter moose!! I can't wait for my 1 year anniversary (haha). Anyways, another reason I choose Michelle was because I had a very detailed Waverly pattern I wanted on my cake and no other designer agreed to do it in butter cream. Michelle not only agreed to my design, but she had done one almost exactly like it! She also made a fabulous hounds tooth (black and white) red velvet hat cake for the grooms cake. It was a little large, but definitely impressed our Roll Tide fans at the wedding! Both cakes took my breath away! It was amazing what she could do on butter cream!! They were exactly what I wanted and tasted fabulous. She is also slightly cheaper since she is associated with the Piggly Wiggly in town, but there is definitely no down grade in quality!!! -
User1732148 Sent on 07/25/2014I was pleased with the finished product. It looked and tasted very good. We received a lot of compliments on the cake. However, Michelle's unresponsiveness leading up to the wedding day was a little unsettling. She had good vision and is clearly creative but she seems to procrastinate, which made me a little nervous. There were also a few small things that I requested that did not end up happening. Nothing big but I still noticed. Overall, good product, but there is room for improvement as far as communication goes. -
User1638367 Sent on 05/30/2014Stay away from this vendor! It seems something has changed since her business relocated to the Raleigh area. Though her cakes are beautiful and have a unique taste she is unresponsive, unprofessional, and quickly turns from sweet to sour if things don't go her way. We were afraid she wouldn't even show up on our wedding day. -
User1847097 Sent on 10/05/2014I met this vendor at a bridal expo and I liked her style. We met after the expo and sealed a deal for a wedding cake. That was in February. I barely heard from her after that. I emailed her saying that the guest list grew and I needed more cake. She said she would be out of town and she would get back to me. Days turned into weeks and weeks to months. I tried contacting her again via email and phone, but no answer. In June I gave up on her. Especially since I saw her latest review on wedding wire was a negative one. I don't feel I could trust this vendor. She only answered when I emailed her saying I was terminating her services due to lack of communication. She said she was having family trouble. Which I understand things happen, but she could have handled things more professionally. I told her, all I wanted was my money back, but I still have not received that money.
