  Wedding reception DJ

  Kenneth was an awesome DJ for my wedding reception last week!! He kept the crowd entertained the whole night and was very flexible with last minute changes. They played the music that people requested (even Arabic music!!) Im so glad I found them to be our DJ for our special night! Thank you Kenneth and the whole gang!!

  I would use Ken again for a future party

  Ken was the best DJ, he responded in a timely manner, always answered all questions. Musics was great. His wife was awesome as she ran the photo booth

  That's My JAM DJ Service = The BEST

  When my fiancé’ and I were on our search for the best wedding DJ, we hit dead-end after dead-end, until we found, That's My JAM DJ Service. Booking Ken for our wedding was the best investment my fiancé and I could have ever made. We were truly blown away by the attention to detail, guidance, support, love and respect Ken showed us. He is the consummate professional. Everything he said he would do was done with perfection. My fiancé and I had no idea what we were doing when planning our wedding, and Ken stepped in and gave us his expertise advice/suggestions from his many years of experience. We knew that we could trust his judgment and that made the planning process so much easier. The day of the wedding he completely blew us away, not only with the music and lights but also with the way he “ran the show”. Ken knew every detail about our wedding day schedule. What truly impressed me was his understanding of how the DJ and all the other vendors have to work together. Ken made sure that our timeline was in sync with the maître‘ d so the dance sets did not happen while people were being served. Due to his attention to detail he ran everything very smoothly. I had almost every guest come up to me to ask me “who is he?”, “he’s amazing!” Ken had all guest fully entertained with dancing and laughter. One thing I will always remember was Ken telling my fiancé and I to take a few minutes after the pictures, and before the reception to just take a few minutes alone, and take it all in because of how fast everything goes. We really appreciated that small piece of brilliance from him. He was right. That day/evening went by so fast. I could go on and on about Ken and his company. Bottom line is you need to book, That’s My Jam DJ Service. You won’t regret it!! Thank you, Ken, for making our wedding an evening to always remember! You’re the best!

  DJ Kilo kept things moving!

  Kenneth was an EXCELLENT DJ and kept our wedding reception moving along so well! He is professional, funny, and made sure we had a hand in planning every part of our day! He kept us updated during the reception about upcoming events like the bouquet toss, garter toss, special dances, and newlywed game. We would highly recommend Kenneth for any of your party needs!

  Simply the best

  Let me tell you about this DJ. We got married last November, and the wedding went fantastic - this was in large part thanks to Ken! He kept the night rolling, super professional, had the guests involved, essentially ran the entire show for us. Incredible value, incredible services. Thank you!!

  Dissatisfied with last minute replacement

  Ken is very reasonably priced, and he has a great tool to help you select your playlist and build your wedding timeline.
  
  Unfortunately, he informed me several days before my wedding that he could no longer attend and that he would be sending a replacement instead. The girl he sent did not seem to care about about doing a good job and was not paying attention throughout the wedding. She failed to notice that the bridal party was waiting for her to play the music so they could start walking down the aisle during the ceremony, she started playing the cake cutting music without realizing the venue hadn't brought the cake out, and she had to be prompted multiple times to announce different events (such as the wedding toasts) instead of following the schedule. She even messed up a special request that we had arranged beforehand for the father daughter dance. She also had challenges getting the crowd hyped up on the dance floor. Afterwards, I got multiple comments from the bridal party and even some guests that the wedding was perfect except for the DJ.
  
  I do believe Ken would have done a good job. If you choose to go with him, ask to amend the contract to specify that he needs to be the one to provide the services, so you don't get subjected to the same last minute bait and switch.

  That's My JAM DJ Service's reply:

  This event was over a year ago and we could have addressed the brides concerns during the follow up but I was not informed till the posting of this review. I did inform the Client of their DJ selection well before their event so the term "Last Minute Bait and Switch" is inaccurate. Despite this event being over a year ago I remember it well. On the day of the event the Fiancée was involved in a car accident causing the event to be delayed and very tense and stressful. The exterior of the build had no electricity forcing the DJ to run power into the service bar of the restaurant which involved us having to unplug a beverage cooler to provide power to the ceremony in addition this forced to DJ to set up the system in a blind corner in the back side of the venue making it very difficult to trigger music at the proper times during the ceremony nothing was mentioned so we were not aware of the concerns. The set up for the reception was very challenging due to the area for the DJ was in an entirely different room from dinner we did run a satellite speaker to the dinner area so they could have sound during dinner. This caused the dj to run back and forth from room to room to trigger music, for example the cake the venue informed the DJ that the cake was being delivered so the DJ triggered music based in info that was given her as she could not see into the room . The comment about the Father Daughter dance is not entirely accurate as they chose to have the dance in the dinner area and not the dancing and Karaoke room where the dj was set up. To statement that the DJ did not follow the Schedule is inaccurate as the timeline was already off due to the delayed start. The DJ constantly checked with the client due to this fact. My DJs are very well trained and extremely professional and she did inform me of the challenges she had to deal with due to the set up of the event. We have actually turned away events at this venue due to the structural challenges of this event. A review of this rating can have a negative impact on our business and the comments in this review due not portray the levels we went through to make this event a success. Again we were not made aware of any of the clients concerns till the posting of this review.
