  This venue is timeless..

  This venue is so beautiful. Everyone was impressed with the atmosphere, decorations and ambiance. It took everyone on a journey back in time. I can't thank Sara Beth Wright enough for her professionalism, attention and guidance to make our son's wedding rehearsal dinner a success. We definitely will have our future celebrations here. Thank you again...

  Very helpful and flexible

  We initially planned a quick wedding for Dec. 5th with the help of Sarah Beth (was hired as wedding planner, also). We had to change the date due to a wedding party member having COVID. Sarah Beth was quick to respond and reschedule our wedding for Dec. 19th. This was incredibly helpful since our decor was winter and also Christmas like. It is a naturally beautiful venue so not a lot of decor is needed. I would definitely recommend this venue and Sarah Beth.

  The Perfect Wedding Venue

  We had our wedding here and everything was absolutely PERFECT! Sarah Beth was an incredible coordinator and truly went above and beyond in making our day. I cannot thank her enough! The house is stunning and it suite our needs in every way. If you’re wanting to have your wedding in a beautiful venue and want to work with the most professional people, look no further! The 1888 House is for you!

  Such a beautiful venue!

  This venue was so very beautiful! The staff was super helpful and I was able to capture the vintage elegance I envisioned for our perfect day! The pictures are beautiful and I couldn’t be happier with my venue selection.

  Amazing I would definitely book them

  This place isn’t just beautiful the staff is amazing when something goes wrong they are on a mission to fix it I would definitely book this vendor again if I had a reason too. They made my wedding amazing and I am so thankful for it.

  Made all my dreams come true.

  The 1888 House by itself has enough beautiful, historical charm that you won't be needing to spends hundreds or thousands on decorations in order to feel like it is your dream space. It is warm, inviting, cozy and perfect in every way. But besides the actual venue itself, the location was wonderful and gave my guests plenty of access to downtown Dahlonega, so directions were easy to give. And the icing on the cake was the team that runs the venue. Sarah Beth and Jillian went above and beyond for us to help make all my dreams come true. Heck, we loved it so much my husband already joked about wanting to have a vow renewal again in 5/10 years at the same place. I'm so thankful we chose this venue.

  My experience at the 1888 house could not have been better. Sarah Beth was extremely patient when I would be nervous and annoying. She would offer suggestions and ideas for decorating. She was wonderful always professional, organized and timely. I would strongly recommend this venue.

  Rehearsal Party

  1888 House is a fantastic spot to have your next party. I had about 80 guests at my rehearsal party and there were guests mingling in every room. We had a band set up downstairs (Crossroads is fabulous) and the bar upstairs and it worked out really well!

  Perfect Baby Shower Venue.

  This venue is absolutely beautiful and was everything we needed to throw our Daughter-in-law the most charming and cozy baby shower. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need. We enjoyed the front porch with rocking chairs. All of our guest loved the venue. We look forward to using this venue again in the future.

  Say yes to 1888 House

  Lovely space with a lot of flexibility in terms of guest movement, conversation and seating. Extremely accommodating with catering and food. Very helpful on the day of the event, including clean up for an extra charge that was well worth it. Sarah Beth is wonderful to work with. 1888 House is a real gem.

  Nice event facility

  There is a sparsity of event facilities in the town. This facility has a lot of charm and met our needs quite well.
  The staff were helpful and a good source of help in getting good vendors. Things went very well and everyone commented on how nice things were.

  We recently held our Rehearsal Dinner at the 1888 House. What a perfect place!! Sarah Beth is so accommodating. We actually had a family member cook, which turned out from the host perspective a lot to do especially since we had to travel from Savannah. I highly recommend using a local caterer versus our DIY as it was overwhelming. Sarah Beth could not have been any more accommodating and it was still a lot of work for us. We used the whole house including the cute bar upstairs and found it to help make our son and future daughter-in-law's night very special. I am embarrassed to say I was so busy I forgot to take pictures. Again, I think it was because of the DIY; I just put too much on my plate. I have reached out to everyone who attended for them to send me their pictures and hopefully I will be able to capture the night.

  The 1888 House is a beautiful venue! We actually held our school system Teacher of the Year breakfast here so it's good for any special events. We had great service, and planning and set up were very easy. The owners are great, and Sarah Beth is extremely helpful! I would highly recommend this venue!

It is a beautiful, historic house that has been renovated exceptionally well and can be set up for almost any occasion you can think of. I have been to a rehearsal dinner there and my friend hosted my baby shower there. It is classy and the vendor choices are great. The value is amazing and it can accommodate many people. A stunning place!
