We feel incredibly lucky to have had the Barn as our wedding venue! Throughout the planning process, we were constantly amazed at how responsive, organized, and wonderful their team was to work with. We currently live on the west coast, and from the first phone call, any of our fears about planning a wedding from across the country were immediately eliminated. Jenn, Jamie and Steve were so accommodating & helpful throughout the whole planning process, and their communication was fantastic. We really appreciated how laid-back and genuine they are, while also being very organized and on top of things. We don’t know what we would’ve done without such an awesome team supporting us from the day we booked all the way through the wedding day itself!

The Barn is truly the most beautiful, charming venue in VT. From the Green Mountains in the background, to the early summer wildflowers, we couldn’t have asked for a better setting for our wedding. The inside of the barn is also stunning. There were some on/off rain showers on our wedding day, and the team made us quickly feel at ease about the potential for rain. While we ended up having our ceremony outside, it brought us peace knowing that we could have an equally wonderful ceremony inside, if needed. We haven’t stopped receiving compliments from our guests about how beautiful the venue is, and also how wonderful the team is. The catering company, Sugarsnap, was also fantastic to work with. Our guests raved about the food!

The Barn team is attentive and truly caring. It gave us comfort knowing that they were there to help make our day so special. As someone who can get pretty easily stressed with planning, all of my worries washed away very quickly once we started working with them. My now husband & I felt that we could 100% relax on our wedding day because we were in such good hands!! Jamie was very attentive and supportive throughout the night, and even remembered to do some things that we had forgotten about (putting disposable cameras out on the tables, etc.). They supported us behind the scenes, even when we didn’t notice. We were able to enjoy our wedding fully and had so much fun. We would recommend this venue without hesitation to anyone who asked!

From our first visit to the Barn my husband and i were blown away. The venue itself is absolutely beautiful. It has a natural look that requires very little decor to look elegant and put together. The flow of indoor/outdoor spaces really contributes to guest experience and allows guests to enjoy the picture perfect scenery.

The owners and staff at the Barn made the planning process so easy! They are incredibly responsive and detail oriented. They worked with me to find vendors that were within our budget and provided recommendations whenever needed. They really provide full service planning a coordination and their professionalism and experience in the industry allowed my husband and I, and our families to fully enjoy the day with no stress.

We cannot recommend this venue enough! Their staff ensured we had the best day and our guests are still talking about how much fun they had!

When my wife and I took a tour of this stunning venue (a year and a half ago), we were not only blown away by the location, but we immediately felt welcomed with open arms. We knew right away that this was going to be where we'd have our wedding day.

The professionalism put on display by this venue is second to none. They set us up for the utmost success and that carried on throughout all the days leading up to our wedding day -- for instance, putting us in contact with some of the best vendors to work with.

Our wedding day was nothing short of perfection and Jenn, Steve, and Jamie played a major role in that. They would constantly be working behind the scenes to make sure our day ran smoothly and if anything came up/if they needed us somewhere, they’d take care of it in a polite and professional manner. We never felt rushed or stressed on the biggest day of our life and we couldn’t thank this team of phenomenal people enough for providing such a breath of fresh air on our day of celebration.

They made sure our day was special — it was their number one priority, and we felt that. Not only will The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch hold a special place in our hearts, but we consider Jenn, Steve, and Jamie a part of our family because of how they made these past few years so enjoyable.

We’d recommend this venue to anyone and everyone. The venue is picture-perfect and is run by the most reliable team of incredible people you could ever ask for. If we could, we'd get married all over again just to relive this incredible experience!

The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch completely blew our expectations out of the water! Wedding planning seemed overwhelming to us and we were considering getting a wedding planner, but with Jen, Jamie, and Steve behind us helping us to organize, our perfect wedding was completely manageable. They always responded instantly, whenever we had a question no matter what the question was. For instance, they even measured the dance floor for us to ensure our choreographed swing dance would work with the space! We knew absolutely nothing about wedding planning, but the barn set us in the right direction with plenty of excellent vendors who were familiar with the Barn’s operations and ways of working. We browsed the list of vendors and chose the ones we liked the style of the most.

The setting for our early June wedding was jaw-droppingly gorgeous. The venue is nestled right in the valley of a stunning series of mountains which create the most wonderful backdrop. Our guests from all over the country and the world were amazed by the beauty of the Green Mountains. In addition, there is a field of wildflowers just beyond the arbor that grows and evolves throughout the wedding season. The purple lupins for our June wedding added a great pop of color.

The wedding day itself was seamless. Jen keeps you on the schedule you all work together to set, and made sure that your only focus is to get ready for the ceremony and reception. She helps coordinate all aspects such as table, setup, vendor arrival, flow of events, decor, etc. If you supply the elements and share your inspiration, she will help execute!

Our guests were also very impressed with the quality of the Sugarsnap catering; while they are the exclusive catering company that collaborates with the Barn, they do an excellent job and you cannot go wrong with any of their options for appetizers, meals, and desserts. The variety of food ranges from comfort, classics, to inspired creations, all of which taste great! They even held a group tasting at the Barn just before the wedding season where we met so many other couples getting married at there as well! The bar itself at the Barn was highly customizable and suited our needs perfectly.

We heard from countless guests that this was one of the most fun and beautiful weddings they have ever been to, and we firmly believe a big part of that was both the majestic setting as mentioned and also the fun vibe and sophisticated decor of the indoor venue. The space becomes whatever you dream it can be. It served many purposes well, including allowing for our guests to view the central first dance, have an elegant dinner, hear all of the toasts, and ultimately, participate in an extremely fun dance party atmosphere. All in all, we shared the sentiment of our guests and just felt so incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to be married at the Barn at Smugglers’ Notch!

I cannot describe how incredible our day was - the beauty of the venue, the spot-on coordination and “do anything that needs to be done” attitude of the venue coordinators Jen and Jaimie was amazing. I wouldn’t change anything about it! Worth every penny! Thank you again to the team at the barn for making our day so special.

Jen, Jamie, and Steve threw us the best wedding ever. They took care of every detail and never showed an ounce of stress. The venue is beautiful, but it's the team that makes it truly shine. You get a level of service that is only possible when the owners are right there with you! They also went out of their way to make the day run smoothly and I will forever be grateful. Jenn, Jamie and Steve are absolutely incredible. I had unexpected rain on my wedding day and the team seamlessly transitioned all of our plans from outside to inside and it was just as breath taking. Everyone I interacted with at the barn was so nice and did everything they could to take care of my guests as well and myself and my husband. I cannot say enough good things about The Barn at Smugglers Notch. If you are looking to get married in Vermont, in the mountains, in a field, in a barn, in New England, or anyone looking for a venue really - this is the place.

They had me with the amazing view and venue but it went way beyond that. Jenn and Steve were happy to help in any way. Their attention to detail was second to none.

Getting married at the Barn at Smugglers Notch was one of the best decisions we made during the wedding planning process. The whole team (Jennifer, Jamie, and Steve) were all extremely responsive and helpful the entire year + leading up to our wedding day. They carried out every little detail for our wedding day perfectly and I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect day. Also, we got rave reviews about how gorgeous the venue was inside and out. We had a rainy wedding day and the ceremony was moved inside about 30 minutes prior to the ceremony start time and you would have never known! Everything looked gorgeous and it was so amazing knowing that the ceremony option inside is just as stunning as outside! You will not regret getting married here

We had no idea how lucky we were getting referred to The Barn for our wedding venue. From selecting our date through to the day of our wedding, Steve, Jen and Jamie were a wonderful team to work with! Hiring a wedding coordinator is NOT needed at this venue. Jen and Jamie were the perfect coordinator duo. Whatever we wanted or needed they were willing to execute, and whatever we were feeling clueless about they helped to fill in the gaps. The Barn at Smuggs Notch has an exclusive agreement with a caterer, Sugar Snap, that is farm to table. Our guests complimented our grazing table, gluten-free dinner and dessert bar, which was really rewarding to hear. We received so many compliments on the venue, the view and the overall feel of our wedding - people had a great time! If you're looking for a mountain town wedding we highly recommend this venue.

Our experience was truly incredible. The service from the owners was absolutely exceptional. The layout of the venue checked all our boxes, not to mention it is stunning. The value of this space and the support provided were more than reasonable. I can't recommend this venue more!

We recently got married at The Barn at Smuggs and couldn’t recommend it more!! From the moment we met Jenn, we felt confident that our day would go off without a hitch. She was on top of things, flexible, and always willing to offer a solution to anything that comes up. Steve was amazing communicating and answering all of our questions leading up to the wedding. The Barn was absolutely stunning. From the bridal suite, to the views, to the bright barn, everything is well thought out and beautiful. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend The Barn at Smuggs to anyone who asks!

Our daughter and son in law's wedding was this past weekend at the Barn at Smuggler's Notch! (August 2022)The ceremony was outdoors-- the setting was the perfect back drop of lovely mountains. I cannot say enough good things about Jenn and Steve the owners. They responded so quickly to all of our questions and were on top of every detail from start to finish. Jamie, another coordinator of the day was so calm and very attentive throughout. Jenn and Jamie set up our elaborate tables so beautifully prior to the event and made sure every detail was done! The Barn's caterer, Sugar Snap Catering has excellent food and excellent service. We were very impressed. The food was so fresh--very farm to table. We chose "family style" for service (rather than plated) and it worked out great! Our guests loved it. We researched all the venues in the Stowe area and no one could compare to the level of service or the beautiful back drop of Vermont mountains that the Barn at Smuggler's Notch provides! Jenn even saved the day with my daughter's bustle. The wedding day had zero issues and went along so smoothly because Jamie kept us on the timeline! The wines Steve selects for the Barn were great and the bartenders did a superb job! Our guests loved all of it! We LOVED the Barn at Smuggler's Notch and are so thankful that Jenn, Steve, Jamie as well as Kristen from Sugar Snap Catering made my daughter and son-in-law's day so very special. Such great memories and such fun!

We had a magical day! So glad we chose this venue. Light, bright venue built for weddings. Has a large patio overlooking a wildflower meadow
with gorgeous view of Mt Mansfield. Honestly, the best part was working with Jenn and Steve and Jamie. They felt like family. It was so easy. Sugarsnap provided food and it was outstanding, the best wedding food ever!
Everyone, young and old, had a great time. The sparkler send off added a final nice touch.

The Barn at Smugglers’ Notch is a beautiful, bright venue. While we were hoping for good weather and a view of the mountains in the background (which we got!), we knew that if it rained, it would still be a bright wedding because of the white barn and all the windows that it contains.

Jenn and Steve, and co-coordinator Jamie, could not have been more helpful in the lead up to the wedding and the on the day of. They anticipated our every need and checked in with us along the way. We are grateful for their support and expertise!

We cannot say enough great things about our experience with The Barn and working with Jenn and Steve. From the moment we toured the Barn and met Jenn, we felt so taken care of and welcomed. Not only is the venue absolutely stunning (the view is unmatched), but Jenn makes you feel like a top priority the whole time and made the planning process SO easy. My husband I got married at the Barn at Smugglers' Notch a little over a month ago in June 2022. I'm from Montreal and my husband is from New York so we were looking for a venue that was somewhere between our families. We very luckily came across the Barn at Smugglers' Notch. As soon as we spoke to Jenn from the Barn at Smuggs, we knew that we had to book it as our wedding venue. As you can see from the photos, the Barn is absolutely stunning on its own (keep in mind that we were visiting over FaceTime and believe me when I say that it is even more breathtaking in person) but you can also choose to make it your own with draping and other decorations. In addition to the venue and surrounding views being gorgeous, Jenn and Steve are amazing to work with. They are both extremely responsive and helpful whenever we would reach out by email, text or by phone. They made the wedding planning process SO much easier by supporting us along the way and also giving us a list of their trusted vendors for everything from florists to photographers to DJ to decorations, etc. My husband and I were very grateful for this as well since neither one of us were from Vermont or very familiar with the area. We loved every single one of the vendors we chose from Jenn and Steve's list. The Barn also works exclusively with Sugarsnap Catering for the food and we were so happy they do - the food is SO good! Jenn and Steve were an absolute dream to work with and we could not have asked for a more perfect day. We received so many phone calls and messages after our wedding from friends and family raving about the Barn, the area, the food and the wedding in general. Jenn and Steve ensured that everything ran smoothly and I literally cannot say enough good things about them. Thank you so much Jenn and Steve for creating such a memorable day for us. We had the wedding of our dreams thanks to The Barn at Smuggler's Notch! Steve and Jenn went above and beyond to accommodate us. Here are a few examples: My wife wanted a champagne wall at the wedding, Steve and Jenn literally built one for the event. We wanted obscure ingredients in our signature cocktails, Steve went to great lengths to track them down. Based on transportation issues, we had to get guests to the venue well ahead of the wedding. Jenn saw to it that everyone had food and drinks even though it was not part of the plan a few days/hours before. On top of all that, they both do it with a smile on their face. Anytime we had a worry, Steve and Jenn had already come up with a solution and executed it. We did not have to worry about a thing.

As for the venue itself, it is truly stunning. Amazing property, beautiful barn, world class views. I can't say enough nice things about the whole experience.

I highly encourage you to have your wedding at The Barn. You will not be disappointed.

Steve and Jen are amazing! As many brides and grooms can tell you, planning a wedding during COVID is not ideal. Steve and Jen were helping us the entire time. From updates on the Vermont governor's guidlines, to suggestions on day of timelines, they really put our anxiety at ease during this whole experience. They responded to emails almost instantly every time.

Before COVID started, Steve and Jen gave us a list of trusted vendors that they work with frequently for weddings. These vendors were nothing but professional and all provided a high quality service. Their suggestions helped us narrow down who we would work with and made our planning process much easier.

During our wedding weekend, Steve and Jen were extremely flexible and gracious. Since the wedding the day before ours cancelled, they allowed us to go to the barn early to set up decorations. Jen was a great day of planner who led us during the rehearsal and made sure the day went smoothly and according to timeline. When setting up lawn games, Jen even brought out the barn's corn hole to add to our collection. Our family could not stop talking about how kind Jen and Steve are.

Last but not least, the beauty of the barn! The wildflowers are gorgeous, the grounds are clean. The mountains in the background made for great pictures! We had the wedding of our dreams thanks to Jen and Steve and would recommend the barn and their services to anyone!

We got married at the Barn in October 2021. It couldn't have been a more perfect venue. Jenn and Steve are so accommodating, incredibly responsive, and make you feel like you are the only people in the world getting married at the Barn - the relationship was the perfect amount of personal and professional. The Barn is absolutely stunning. The views of Mount Mansfield are breathtaking. While the weather was not on our side on the wedding day, Jenn pivoted so quickly to transform the inside of the venue into the perfect ceremony space and back into the reception space without anyone knowing what happened, she is truly a magician! The outdoor ceremony space is undeniably gorgeous, but if you need a rain option, you couldn't ask for a better alternative, walking down the grand staircase with my dad was a fairytale! Additionally, the nearby lodging and relationship the Barn has with Smuggler's Notch resort is the BEST possible scenario! We were able to make the wedding a full-weekend event/party with 5-minute shuttles back to lodging. For family traveling in from out of town, there is no shortage of adventures, from hiking, to shopping in downtown Stowe, to hopping around from restaurant to brewery. The Barn at Smuggs could not be a more perfect place to start the next chapter of your life with you best friend. Don't let this one slip by, book it now!!

Steve and Jenn DiPalma were the best! professionals and were always available to us. On wedding day the attention given to me and the bride was extraordinary. Their food caterer Lost Nation was simply amazing. The Barn at Smuggs is a beautiful spot with exceptional views. Thank you Steve and Jenn!!

Jenn and Steve, Chef Sam and the entire staff, wow. If you are considering having an event or your wedding here, don't research further and just book it. The experience leading up to the event was smooth, friendly, accommodating, transparent, and fun. We actually booked sight unseen and Jenn walked us through the venue on Facetime. We did not actually see the event until June 2021 and it was better than any pictures you see online/IG/Facebook/Google. You felt as if you were family and we felt as if our wedding was the only wedding this year (they do multiple weddings every weekend). The location is rare and something you cannot find easily anywhere else. Add in the food & drink, the barn and space itself, we are still getting compliments on the entire event. Steve will work with you on whatever your budget may be and will create the event you want and envision. There is not a single thing I would change about the planning, or our wedding day-- except to trust in Steve and Jenn more that they are truly working to create YOUR day. Call them now & book.
