  We had a small traditional cake and then a cake buffet. We had 15 different cakes that were all delicious. This was the hit of the reception people were going back for 2 or 3 pieces of cake, our videographer even send us a thank you note that we had the best wedding cake of 2013. The Blue Owl cut one piece of each cake and packed it up for us I thought that was so nice because we didn't get a chance to get any that night. I cant say enough good things about our wedding cake and The Blue Owl.

  I cannot say enough great things about the Blue Owl Restaurant & Bakery! I think it's the best kept secret for wedding cakes/desserts in the St. Louis area. We decided to go with a small 3 tiered cake for cutting so that there was some cake for guests who like traditional wedding cake, which looked beautiful and tasted amazing!!! But everyone was raving about the dessert buffet that we had-we chose several different types of their famous pies, cheesecakes, specialty cakes and we had blue owl staff members serving them. It was different, fun and everyone loved it because they got to choose from a big selection (and could come back and get more if they wanted!) The best part? It was cheaper than going with a regular bakery and getting a traditional wedding cake!!! Seriously. Kayla was great, I can't recommend the Blue Owl enough! If you're looking for something fun and different for your wedding desserts, check them out! You won't be dissapointed.

  We wanted to do something different for our wedding cake, so we decided to axe the cake completely and do a dessert buffet. We came across The Blue Owl at a wedding show and they were handing out samples of their carrot cake. I cannot explain how wonderful this carrot cake was, but it was the best that I've ever had. After that tasting, we decided to use The Blue Owl for our dessert buffet and I couldn't be happier with how everything turned out. We had so many compliments from all of our guests about how extremely wonderful and deliscious all of the desserts were.
  We are so glad that we decided to do the dessert buffet, not only was it a huge hit at our reception, but the cost was outstanding! For what we would have paid for a wedding cake we got enough desserts for a lot of our guests to have seconds, plus the desserts were all delivered, sliced, served, cleaned up at the end of the night, and packaged for us to take the left overs home. There weren't a lot of left overs, but they are disappearing fast!
  If you're a bride looking for something more than just a pretty cake... a dessert buffet with The Blue Owl is defnitely the way to go. Your guests get to have their choice of which dessert to have and they are all beyond amazing!
