  Exceptional Wedding Venue

  Our guests were constantly telling us how beautiful the Lake Superior setting and the wedding reception was. Working with Bella was so easy - she answered any questions we had promptly and professionally from the first day through the BIG day. Bella and her excellent team had the table settings for decorating ready ahead of schedule - so our decorating with flowers, favors etc were able to be done earlier than planned. The food -from appetizers through dinner was plentiful, served hot and delicious. All these details gave us ample time to relax before the festivities began. We would highly recommend The Boat House for your event.

  The Perfect Day

  Bella and team were absolutely amazing! We planned an intimate wedding with family and wedding party in under 2 months. Highly recommend utilizing the Harborview and Fireside rooms to create the perfect blend of indoor and outdoor space. So many great places to take photos with Lake Superior and the Ariel Lift Bridge as the backdrop. There were endless options to customize the day just the way we wanted.

  Above and Beyond

  Bella and staff did way more than expected and made the experience amazing! They were very attentive, caring and accommodating. Food was great, also. Beautiful location. Overall, they made my wedding fantastic.

  Amazing wedding reception

  Bella and the rest of the staff were fantastic. She is very responsive and helpful. We hosted a wedding reception for ~80 people, the space was perfect! Would recommend to anyone looking to have a wedding in Duluth.

  Wedding brunch and bridal shower

  We had such a wonderful experience with the Boat Club for our day after wedding brunch!! The food was amazing the service was great!!
  When it came time to celebrate our daughter getting married I knew right where we wanted to have a bridal shower brunch!! Once again everything was so good!! Working with Bella and the rest of the staff was a great experience and I highly recommend the Boat Club for your special occasion celebrations!

  Engagement Party- Success!!

  We wanted to host an engagement party for our son and his fiance in a space that was beautiful where we could make wonderful memories while enjoying excellent service.
  That is the Boat Club's specialty. We loved working with Bella, and the food was fantastic.
  Our guests felt cared for by the terrific server and our son and future daughter in law said it was perfect.

  The Boat Club is Outstanding

  Bella at The Boat Club was so great to work with while planning our rehearsal dinner. The night of the cocktail hour/dinner everything was excellent! The food was delicious. We received many compliments on it. The friendly nature and great service by the entire staff was appreciated.

  The Perfect Wedding

  We planned our wedding ceremony (about 60 guests) and dinner in the Boat Club's Fireside and Harborview Rooms with the hopeful option of using the courtyard for the ceremony. As it goes in Duluth, that May day was cold and windy. But the Boat Club made it easy on us, dealing with the vendors and getting the chairs and wedding arch set up in the Fireside as our backup plan. The wait staff was amazing in directing everyone, taking coats and hanging them up, and helping us with timing on the ceremony.
  After the ceremony, dinner, and first dance, I was thinking that everything was going so perfectly. Too perfectly. After all, a wedding needs some memorable moments, right? And then it happened - we had a fire alarm! First of all, everyone was ok. Given that, it was so cool to have the memories of migrating to the courtyard, the bartenders bringing our guests drinks outside, the DJ playing "Burning Down the House" and all the fire-related or too hot to handle songs he could find. We laughed, and we got cold, but the Boat Club staff did everything right and ensuring the memories were amazing.
  Everything was seamless. Everything was beautiful. Everything was easy, fun, and delicious. They went above and beyond in coordination as well as service. I'd do my wedding 100x over at the Boat Club. Our appreciation to everyone there!

  We got married at the courthouse and invited family to the Boat House afterwards for a celebration dinner - which was still 80 people. We rented two of the adjoining private rooms, and they were perfect. Really beautiful rooms with charming details like brick and fireplaces, and of course the Lake Views - we did not even bring any decorations and everything still looked so nice. Bella was so helpful before the day helping us nail down all the details.
  
  The food was actually amazing, I generally don't expect much from wedding food, but the pasta bar was really delicious. I especially loved the alfredo sauce and multiple guests complimented the sautéed peppers.
  
  Lastly, the bartenders and waitstaff really added to our night - they were all good sports with our fun-loving guests, and they went out of their way to help my Mom who has mobility issues. All in all, Boat House exceeded my expectations.

  The food is delicious and bella is amazing

  As an adventure couple getting married in Duluth, one of the scariest things was finding a restaurant to host our micro-wedding reception. We were not able to see any venues in person or try any food ahead of time. We also needed to find a flexible, affordable venue that could handle a non-traditional second ceremony after a private elopement and would be willing to work with us as far as the use of other vendors. The Boat Club was the perfect choice. They had the most adorable, affordable rooms to rent and plenty of package flexibility (vegan options, MP3 package, napkin color change, etc). We actually had three event managers throughout the whole process due to unexpected life and staffing changes but each manager was so nice and had notes from the previous manager. No one ever forgot about our wedding. Bella, our final event manager, was an absolute joy to work with as well. She never made me feel bad for having a million questions. She was willing to offer suggestions when we were unsure of what exactly we wanted. Bella even spent an hour on the phone with us reviewing details, and she emailed back-and-forth with us all the way up till the last minute. When we were late to our own ceremony, Bella was standing right out front for us and instantly jumped into action. She has the most calm demeanor though. You can just tell everything will be fine in her hands once you meet her. Bella even had the ceremony playlist already downloaded on a staff member's phone since mine was not available when they set up the guests. I honestly have too many nice things to say about her, and I would recommend working with her any day. As far as the restaurant goes, The Boat Club was PERFECT. It is in a beautiful location. The Harborside and Fireside rooms are so adorable and great for small weddings. Plus, the food is SO GOOD. We had only heard good things from previous reviews but wait till you try the food in person. They were so accommodating to allergies and dietary restrictions too. 10/10 would recommend for your wedding.

  Rehearsal Dinner

  We hosted our son and daughter in law's rehearsal dinner in the August Fitger Room at The Boat Club Restaurant. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. Dealing with Bella was seamless; she was very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. The room was beautiful, the meal was delicious, and the service was excellent. We had several compliments from the guests attending the dinner. We would definitely consider them for any event in the future. Thanks to Bella and The Boat Club staff for a very successful event!

  Beautiful views!

  We choose the Boat Club for the location, and pricing. We had our ceremony in the courtyard outside of the fireside room. The appetizers and dinner were phenomenal! It was a beautiful, intimate dinner with our family. The kids enjoyed the courtyard space to run around and play. Friendly staff! Bella was timely in her responses to emails and help with decision. Would choose this place all over again!!!

  Excellent Service

  I’m thrilled with the way our small wedding turned out. We decided on the Boat Club in late March, and had been communicating with the event manager. A month before our wedding, we learned a new event manager had taken over- Bella. I was nervous and worried that the previous communication did not get passed along, but Bella truly went out of her way to make sure I was comfortable and the event ran smoothly. The food was wonderful, and the drinks were great. They had the friendliest staff and our bartender was spectacular. I am so thankful Bella took over and I couldn’t have asked for better service.

  The Boat Club is Amazing

  Rehearsal dinner at the Boat Club made for a perfect night. The food was amazing, the timing of things was perfect and the workers were really incredible.   Wonderful Wedding Reception Service

  We were extremely happy with our choice of having our wedding reception at the Boat Club. Anna made planning the event a breeze and was quick and thorough when communicating food and planning. She went above and beyond to help us make our day perfect.
  
  We got filet mignon and creamy chicken rosemary. Our guests could not stop raving about the food. At the end, Jon and staff helped make our services and tear down a breeze. We highly recommend the Boat Club and had a 10/10 experience.

  August 8th Courtyard Wedding

  We were sooo very pleased with our event, our daughter’s wedding! Tami and Anna just couldn’t have been better to work with. They were of GREAT help from beginning to end…I just cannot say enough how I, mother of the bride, appreciated their attention to detail, patience, willing to meet our daughter’s every wish to make the day what she and her fiancé wanted it to be. The Boat Club staff was outstanding. The food exceptional. We are grateful to have worked with them for this special event.

  Top notch experience

  The whole experience was wonderful. We had a small wedding with 30 people and everyone kept saying what a wonderful time they had during the event and the next day! The service provided was exceptional. The food was perfect. I can say I was truly happy with everything from start to finish!

  Wonderful Experience!

  Anna and the whole team at The Boat Club were great to work with! Once the initial details were sorted out, I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was delicious and the service the day of was top notch! The view of the lake was gorgeous as well!

  Wonderful Groom's Dinner

  We had our Grooms dinner at the Boat Club. Everyone was just wonderful to work with and Anna was very accessible and quick to respond to my many questions. The food and service were excellent. I would highly recommend this venue.

  We booked the August Fitger Room for our Halloween themed wedding through the Boat Club. Anna went above and beyond to cater to our needs. She was prompt about responding to email and was so helpful with all the preparations. The food was AMAZING! I would highly recommend them as an event venue.

The value is amazing...I have heard about so many people spending so much more for far less...the place is breath-taking, the food is outstanding, and Tami suggested a great list of vendors to consider working with that had all worked with the Boat Club before. The staff was second to none...and they knew how to make us and our guests feel first-class!
