  The one thing most brides worry about is the choice of cake vendor and I was no exception. I live nearby this bakery but never tried out their goods until I decided to do the cake tasting. I believe the lady who helped us was named Margie and she was so genuine and knew alot about cakes. We chose a white almond with raspberry filling 3 tiered cake. The outside was all white with berries on the rims of the cakes. It was beautiful! I almost didn't want to cut into the cake lol. I'm glad I did because it was sooooo good. Aside from that, they were very professional and prompt. Our wedding was located about an hour away and they arrived way before we did our cake cutting. I'd definitely use them for our next special occasion!

  Cake Lady Bakery was the amazing! They took pictures of cakes we liked and tweeked them perfectly for our wedding day celebration! We were amazed at the way the cakes turned out for us! They came and set the cakes up early and were very polite and professional! The cakes tasted amazing and everyone enjoyed the flavor variations we chose. Extremely happy with the way our cakes turned out and will use the Cake Lady for all our events in the future!

  Very good at working with you on price. I changed my order a few weeks after placing it and it was not a problem. Everyone loved the cupcakes and cake!

She maintained a friendly and upbeat manner and we really appreciated that! From the tasting to the final details, we were very pleased with how things worked out. Our cakes exceeded our expectations beyond belief! They were both beautiful and EXACTLY how we asked for them to be made! Did I mention that they were absolutely delicious as well? The carrot cake (groom's cake) received many raves from our guests about being so moist and great tasting, and our 3 tier cake was almost completely devoured, which I think speaks for itself! I will definitely use them for other events we have! I cannot wait to go back in a year for our 1 year anniversary cake! Thank you Cake Lady Bakery for making our beautiful and delicious cakes for our special day!

  The people at The Cake Lady were very professional and met our every need with a smile. They even took my husband's idea and turned it into his cake. To this day it was the best and most moist wedding cake I have ever had, and I've been to a lot of weddings.

  I can't thank these people enough!!!!! I had contacted another small baker for my April wedding cake. About three weeks before the wedding, my original baker just disappeared and I never heard form them again. After panicking and wasting a week trying to get in contact with them, I gave up and started looking for Plan B.
  I called The Cake Lady and told them what was going on. I had not originally looked into them because this other baker was closer to my venue in Galveston and I thought they would be too far to deliver. The staff were AMAZING. They talked with the owner and got back to me within a half hour to say they could make it work for me. Keep in mind at this point I was about 11 days to my wedding date! They had me come in immediately (same day) and I had a consultation. They were a little higher and had some decorating cost that were more than other vendors I had looked into, but I was happy to pay it due to their flexibility and helpfulness. They were able to deliver all the way to Galveston and used a cake topper I provided.
  The cake was great! I requested an all buttercream icing and the guests loved it! I cannot say thanks enough to the caring staff. After a horrible experience with the first baker, I was awesome to be taken care of by this professional and wonderful vendor!

  Overall I had a great experience with The Cake Lady Bakery. I saw a beautiful cake at the Bridal Show, and contacted them after the event for more information. I have always heard great things about this bakery, especially how delicious the cakes were. After receiving some pricing information I scheduled a tasting. They allowed us quite a varierty of cakes and they were all delicious. One downside is that there basic cake is vanilla almond, I wasn't a huge fan of the almond and just wanted vanilla but they said it would cost extra to remove the almond from the cake mix. I selected a cake they had on display and they were able to customize it for my wedding by adding snowflake details. It was beautiful and delicious. There were a few issues with our wedding date and the bakery. The bakery was not open on our wedding day and after we had already been quoted a price were told that they weren't open and charge more for delivery on those days. Fortunately because we hadn't been told that initially they waived that charge. Overall great experience.

  Great cake but I thought the prices were a little too high...I did not have much time to shop around so I just went ahead and reserved the date with them..but if you have time shop around to compare prices...If not thats ok too...It was one of the best cakes I have had..so it worked out for me. If you can afford it buy it...!

  The Cake Lady has always been a great place to get cakes. I was just a bit disappointed in the bridal cake that was delivered to the venue. When we ordered the cake it was suppose to have three tiers that would be cut up at the reception and then a take home tier. Well that is not what we received. The colors that they were to use did not match the swatch that we gave them to use and the monogram that was on the cake looked cheesy! The taste of the cake was exceptional so I do have to give them that credit. They can make great tasting cakes. Our grooms cake was exactly what we wanted. I got a 3-layer white choclate creme wedding cake decorated with purple gumpaste flowers, and it was over $600 to feed 100 people. The bakery staff were wonderful and attentive, kept in good contact with us, worked to personalize a cake to our taste, etc. We also got a personalized groom cake that was unlike anything they advertised on their website - it was completely speial for my husband. If you can afford it, this is the place to go.
