Wedding was June 2nd 2016. We had the ballroom ceremony, outside reception, 70 guests. I wanted to be sure people understand what can happen here. Before I make this list of things that I did not like, I want to say that my wedding itself was perfect, beautiful, elegant, we'll worth the cost for the majority of the evening (do not expect "cheap"!) I just feel I should have been made aware of or things could have been handled differently to make it smooth because the entire time getting ready at the venue was chaotic.
-do not expect to have any privacy while getting ready. The coordinator made several appearances in our dressing room. One of which times she accused MY PASTOR of recording us while undressed. This was, to put it mildly, very upsetting in the moment.
-we were told we must pick up all our belongings and move them out of the way before we could go down to the ceremony, because Club members would have access to the dressing room and our belongings. We're talking pearls, purses, all of our belongings. I feel that paying that amount and having no privacy in our dressing room what so ever during our rental time was unfair. It was disappointing to have to remove our belongings like that. You dont want to worry about your things getting stolen during your wedding and reception. I was extremely upset at this point.
-whilst getting ready for the ceremony, we were also contacted by phone by a family member who said she was refused at the door and had to drive an hour back to NC with her 20mth old son because he had a camouflage on. We weren't made aware of a dress code, even though we set attire to formal or evening wear for guests ourselves, a small child was denied entry into my wedding because of his shirt. I don't think I have to explain my reaction to this.
(no ice for drinks, food wasn't the same as tasting I attended...There's more but I'm out of room for this review)
