  My Daughter’s wedding

  We had my Daughter Corina’s wedding on May 18th 2024 at Stoney Point Events in Altoona Pa and we decided to get Snappy
  Chef from Lakemont Park as our Cater they where fantastic the service and the food was
  Awesome everyone at the reception told me and my husband that the food was great and the staff were great

  The Perfect Dream

  I cannot even express how amazing everything was. The food, the atmosphere, and the incredible support that I received from the staff! They were ready for everything! Everything I ever wanted for my day was executed perfectly! They even went outside the box to be able to include my beverage boys down the aisle! My bustle broke 3 times and they were on it each time! They were there and ready with a needle and thread! Vicky and the rest of the staff at the Casino, thank you for making my day truly the best day of my life!!

  Our wedding was absolutely amazing and fun. The reception area was decorated beautifully, way beyond our expectations. Vicky was with us every step of the way, she's absolutely amazing to work with. I could not be happier with how the whole evening went.

  Vicky and the casino were absolutely amazing. Everything was first class. I could not imagine having our reception anywhere else. Everyone states the reception was truly amazing. They were very easy to work with and literally do EVERYTHING for the bride and groom. Food and service were exceptional. They are truly worth every penny!

  The Casino, and specifically, Vicky, are AMAZING! They surpassed all expectations of my husband and I and really did an excellent job with everything! There are many different tiers to chose from so that you are able to get what you want and still be able to afford it. I did not realize all of the potential "headaches" associated with planning a wedding/reception until we started, however, I didn't need to worry about any of them because Vicky took care of everything! You literally drop off all of your decorations a day or two before the reception, and when you show up, it is all set up! They also break everything down for you and you just pick it up a few days after--and this is all included in your package!! They gave us the food that was left over when people didn't show up (I've never heard of places doing that), and they have a wonderful vendor recommendation list that makes things so much easier! My husband and I originally grew up in the area, but have since moved away, so planning the reception from hours away was no problem at all with Vicky at our side! The staff are all generally nice, caring, sweet people and we never at any point felt pressured or guilted into anything. We have gotten endless compliments from family and friends on the food, the service (the waitresses/waiters are impeccably dressed and are very professional), the overall "flow" of the evening, and just the beauty of the venue itself!! We owe our FLAWLESS reception all to Vicky and the staff at The Casino and can't thank them enough for our perfect reception!!

  Vicky made everything so simple for me! She took care of everything and made our day wonderful! We gave her our decor and she made the room more than I ever could have imagined! Everything went so smoothly. Vicky and her team did an amazing job to make sure our night was perfect and it absolutely was!

  Helen and the Snappy Chef crew were absolutely fantastic. Helen went out of her way in every instance to make planning and executing the catering at our wedding a breeze. She drove 20 minutes just to meet us at the venue when we were planning. She kept on top of the details and promptly answered every crazy question I had. I had several vendors screw up details, requiring me to step out of bride-mode and back into wedding planner... but not Helen... she took care of everything she's promised and even more. She made sure I ate, helped calm me down, and wrapped up other desserts for us even though that wasn't on the contract. Her staff were absolutely professional the day of and so very sweet. It was such a blessing to not have to worry about a thing. I didn't get to try the food before the wedding (we were planning from out of state) so I was floored when what I expected to be your basic wedding food (we had stuck with familiar wedding favorites), was so delicious that not only did nearly everyone at the wedding comment on it, but we cleared out room in our cooler so we could take some leftovers with us on our honeymoon. We went with the "going to the chapel" package and felt that we got everything we could have ever needed for an absolutely terrific value.

  My husband and I were just married on 07/04/15. I knew as soon as he picked a date we wanted the Casino. Free fireworks! I got in touch with Vicky and after going thru the Soho room, we were sold. The prices are very reasonable, and there are so many options and packages! The first time we met with Vicky a few months before the wedding, she asked so many questions about things that I hadn't even thought of. It made me realize how much I had missed and was happy for the reminder! We have never done this before, but thank goodness she is an expert! We wanted to have the ceremony off-site at a local mansion, and Vicky asked if we wanted her to handle the rentals. DO THIS! It will make such a difference!! As it got closer to the wedding, any time I had any questions, Vicky was available. We did play phone tag a couple times, but that was on me, not her. Those little questions of who walks with who, and how to get your 2 yr old ring bearer down the aisle, and everything else that people decide to bring up three days before the wedding, do not hesitate to ask her. I was in panic mode! I had to talk to Vicky about the rehearsal a little, and when she called, I threw all this on her. It had nothing to do with her job, but she helped me through all of it! Every time I talked to her, she made me feel like everything would be fine, she would handle it. And she did! She was at the rehearsal, which was a blessing! Our officiant had never married anyone before, just a close friend that got ordained to perform the ceremony. He was so happy to have her because she lead the way! We all are walking around like zombies and she pulled us together and it worked! She ran it like a machine! It was amazing! The morning of (and days before) the wedding, it rained like crazy. We still got to have it outside because the staff is incredible! Vicky and Lexi and the rest of the staff are amazing. Our day would never have been so perfect if they weren't a major part of it. They're AMAZING!!

  I was very happy with the catering service from Snappy Chef. Helen was incredibly helpful from start to finish. We selected the "Going to the Chapel" package and found it quite reasonable for all that was included. Helen and her staff traveled with the food, linens, china, etc from Altoona to Huntingdon for a nominal delivery fee. The table settings were lovely, the food was delicious, and the staff was friendly and professional. I would certainly recommend Snappy Chef to others.

  The Casino did the most incredible job ever for our daughter and son-in-law's wedding. Vicky and her staff are the most amazing wedding planners ever, which was a major reason we chose the Casino for our 250 guests. My husband and I (and our family members) had no worries the day of the wedding and could just enjoy every second of it. She arranged everything from the flower delivery and set up to the ordering of the special linens and the break down after we all left. My daughter came up with all kinds of ideas from Pinterest...and Vicky made nearly all of them happen with enthusiasm and class. And the FOOD was fabulous!! We did the buffet and got so many rave reviews from our family and friends. Thank you, Casino! You have fans for life!!

  I was married on September 13, 2014 and our reception was held at the Casino at Lakemont in the Grand Ballroom. I booked the venue in April 2013 (pretty much when I knew without a shadow of a doubt that Penn State would be playing AT Rutgers that weekend) so I spent 17 months communicating with the venue on my (sometimes outrageous) requests.
  
  Because we don't live in Altoona anymore, I wanted to bring vendors into the area for our guests to experience something difference.. from a pair dueling pianos, to a live painter and our word class video journalists.. the Casino made all of our vendors feel welcome during the planning process.
  
  Victoria Mirenda is the only reason my wedding was as amazing as it was - this woman is incredible. Between the hundreds of emails we exchanged, or the frantic text messages closer to the day.. she responded calmly, told me when I was being crazy, and made sure all of my wishes came true.
  
  Our check in day was insanity - we brought 4 SUV's full of centerpieces (which were books), candles and glass - not a single thing was broken, and somehow they climbed into my brain and saw exactly what I wanted and executed flawlessly.
  
  Our day of staff were like ninjas - they floated around the room picking up empty glasses, moving chairs, anything.. I honestly can't tell you anyone's name because they were virtually invisible.. which is I think what every bride wants!
  
  Brides: If you want a venue that will bend over backwards to make your dream come true, excellent food, a dynamic area that can be easily transformed, and to WOW your friends and family - Call the Casino. You absolutely won't be disappointed.

  The Casino was the perfect place for our wedding reception! I'll admit that it wasn't my first choice. I had tried to book other venues, but they were already booked. I am so glad that everything worked out and we had the Casino! I would definitely choose them again! Our guests are still raving about the place, food, and setup. Vicky was amazing! Her and her staff set everything up for you. She says to trust her, and you really do have to trust her. She knows what she's doing and her creativity is beyond belief. I still can't get over how awesome the place looked for our wedding. She made the planning less stressful and made sure everything was taken care of. There was a little miscommunication with our cake, and the staff ended up having to cut and serve the top layer. Vicky, being that she wanted us to enjoy our wedding day and reception, didn't tell us until after the reception was over. I wasn't upset about that because I trusted her to pull everything together, and she did. They had to do what they had to. I love Vicky and she is very easy to work with. The Casino is a beautiful place and I would definitely recommend it for a wedding or any type of party!

  Our reception was held at this venue. The food was amazing, and Victoria Mirenda was a blessing. She was very helpful and handled everything. She made sure everything went smoothly, and helped with coordinating everything from linens to decorating, and worked out the timeline of events with the other vendors. Everything was hassle free for my husband and I. She did a wonderful job of taking ideas we discussed and turning them into an unforgettable evening! Everything I asked for was taken care of and this venue is very good at referrals and returning phone calls and emails in a timely manner.

  Vickie and the entire staff at the Casino made our wedding day a stress-free, amazing experience. We chose the Casino because they take care of everything. We gave them our decorations, floor plan and the florist gave them the flowers and they transformed the Soho room into a beautiful, elegant space that was more than I had even envisioned. Vickie was in touch with us every step of the way and when our wedding day came, I didn't have to worry about anything except getting ready and showing up. The food and cake was DELICIOUS!   We worked with Helen since we had an offsite event. We were very happy with her level of professionalism and attention paid to our wedding. To make things even more impressive everything was taken care of in a short timeline since the caterer we had originally chosen canceled on us with 3 months until our wedding. The day of was just as great as the prep, we got countless compliments on our food and people are still talking about how good our cupcakes were. We would definitely recommend them for any special occasion.

  Had our wedding reception at the Casino at Lakemont Park. Vicky and her team are absolutely awesome to work with!!! Very professional and very organized. Everything is planned in advance and from setup to tear down they do it all for you, a much less stressful route for you and your friends and family. Also, the venue was beautifully decorated, the food was very good and the service is unmatched by any others in the area! Awesome experience from beginning to end working with them, and our big day turned out perfect!

  Very nice place to tie the knot and kick back with friends and enjoy the night they were very professional and set up everything and tore it down and the food was great would definitely recommend this place to someone looking for a place

  Overall we had a great experience, the food tasted awesome (with the exception of the Babaganouj - not very traditional). We loved the salmon and roast beef! They forgot to bring champagne glasses (that we rented through them and paid for) for our parent's tables, and luckily the bartender (not affiliated; hired separately) had some plastic wine glasses that we were able to substitute with - still not the same though. And they also didn't use the high end square plastic plates I bought for appetizers/cake (and talked to the catering manager about during one of our consultations) they used cheap round Styrofoam plates. Again, overall great experience, feel like the communication could have been better to avoid misses like with our champagne glasses and plastic plates - the catering manager emailed me multiple times with the same questions, for me to respond with the same answers. Just feel like it may have gone better if they were a little more organized on the planning end. The quality of the food was top notch, and the servers they sent did an awesome job! They kept in contact with my mom and the MC the whole night to make sure timing was going as it should be, and it did.

The Casino took charge of everything and allowed us to focus on eachother that day. Staff was amazing, especially Vicky. She really helped me above & beyond what I had expected.   We definitely recommend The Casino at Lakemont Park. It's really nice because they can take care of so much for you--they were our reception venue, our caterer and made our wedding cake. Everyone there is really nice and great to work with and will listen to what you want for your big day. They go out of their way to try to make it exactly as you'd always pictured it! Deciding what you want is the hard part, after that it's easy because they take care of everything. The room was set up so beautifully, we didn't have to worry about a thing, or taking anything down. If you have people with special food requests, they will take care of that also. A little pricey, but worth it because they take the stress out of it!
