The Chesapeake Venue has it all for your OBX Wedding! The luxury, seclusion, intimacy, 24 bedrooms with all view to die for and, of course the wild horses:) The design of this property is so well laid out that our team can easily customize our couples wedding vision to fit their needs. Also great plan b's which you don't want, but need to have ready just in case. And you can accommodate 50 of your guests right there at your venue! Look no further. you have found your wedding venue on the OBX!

This was a beautiful place to spend a vacation. The house is amazing and fits so many guests. Each bedroom had their own bathroom, shower, and balcony!! I also loved the pool and the hot tubs. My favorite part might have to be the game room and bar area downstairs. So many amazing memories there! You also might get to see some wild horses on the beach outside the house! Amazing!

I had a wonderful time at the property a couple years back. There are dozens of bedrooms with nice private bathrooms and comfortable beds. The pools, hot tubs and deck area was outstanding. Also appreciated how organized and clean the house was!

We had our anniversary/wedding party here! It was amazing to have all our friends and family in one place!! From all the outdoor Space available is perfect for any wedding or event space needed and inside to the caterers kitchen and space to eat! Plus all the very unique and different king suites with everyone’s personal balcony!! And can’t forget about the horses walking in front of the house! We have already rebooked to go back!

The Chesapeake is a great location for your upcoming event. We had the opportunity to host a Couples Retreat at the location in October 2023 (we were the first event of this type at the location). During the planning phase, we had constant communication with the hosts as well as the owner. They were attentive to our needs, provided assistance with our event planning, provided local resources to help us with our event planning and were available for all of our guests. Upon arrival we met with our liaison that gave us a tour of the property and showed us the ins and outs of the vacation rental. This home is MASSIVE! And every detail was clean, neat and in perfect working condition. The beach access was very simple. We had ample parking for our guests both at the location as well as the designated parking area outside of 4x4 beach. Note: Please adhere to the 4x4 beach driving rules. You will get stuck on the beach or in the parking area. DO NOT RISK IT!

We conducted our Couples Retreat at the home. During our retreat we had an event in the outdoor area. The event space was great for entertaining. The views of the beautiful pool space in the middle corridor was to die for. Our guests loved the lighting from the water and the ease of having everything in one location. The rooms and common areas were beautiful. Each room had a unique design that felt like home. Our guests stated that that the property gave them an at home feel. Each room had a private patio for them to lounge and enjoy activities with the corridor. We had a movie night in the corridor. There were plenty of seating options available for you on the outside as well as the inside.

We also had private catering at the location. The catering kitchen was well stocked, and our caterers were highly impressed with the facilities. The kitchen provided plenty of space for refrigeration and storage as well as cooking. The dining area was very adequate for a group of 50+. Our catering company had plenty of serving areas that aligned well with their individual dining themes.

We loved the fact that the property was equipped with a sonos sound system. We were able to play music throughout the property with ease. The setup was simple and was able to be operated through our iPad. The multi room operation allowed us to play different genres of music in individual areas. (This was my favorite part as a tech guy)

Our bartenders are still raving about the huge bar and entertainment area. With ample seating at the bar, our guests were welcomed to bar height seating while sipping on their cocktail of the day. The television at the bar served as a great space to watch a game or stream photos in information pertaining to our retreat events.

Lastly, the beach views and surrounding areas were magnificent! We had an on site photographer that simply fell in love with the scenery. Whether you wanted photos of a beautiful sunset, the interior of the home, or photos of the wild horses that literally roam through the property. There was so many great photo options available at this property that you always needed a phone or camera ready for that perfect photo opportunity.

In conclusion, I would say this home is a perfect place for a family function, wedding, corporate event or group retreat. The owner is fabulous and will work hard to ensure that your needs are met. I could rave about this property for days. It was definitely a bucket list location. If you are looking for a great place to host and event. Please look no further than the Chesapeake on 4x4 beach. You will not be disappointed.

We are not sure where to begin with our review of The Chesapeake!

Being from the Outer Banks, we considered venturing outside of the area, but after looking at countless destination venues online, we decided to take a drive and look at some of the local Outer Banks wedding venues. After spending much of the day looking at venues, we decided to stop by “The Chesapeake”, which was still under construction at the time. As we walked onto the front porch to peak through the windows, we were greeted by wild horses in the front yard. At that moment, we knew this incredible home was the perfect location for our wedding.

During all the months leading up to the wedding, The Chesapeake made whatever arrangements necessary for us to visit the home with our vendors to make and finalize our plans and gather layouts, which was a tremendous help in making our wedding week run flawlessly.

When we arrived at The Chesapeake for our wedding week, it felt like the first time we visited and we were yet again blown away by this venue. We held all of our pre-wedding events at the house throughout the week and it was the perfect setting for all of them, with enough space for each event to feel unique. All of our guests were amazed at their accommodations, and they loved the privacy and comfort that their rooms provided. The downstairs bar, hot tubs and pool were the common hangout spots, and the wild horses made an appearance just about every day. The house was complete with necessities, and the decor was exquisite.

We finished off the week with our wedding on Saturday. Our ceremony was in the dunes in front of the house, we held our cocktail hour on the terrace, and we held the reception in the pavilion, which provided the perfect flow for our guests.

It was an experience of a lifetime for everyone involved and nearly two months later, we are still being told that it was the best wedding venue our guests had ever attended. The venue exceeded all of our expectations and had everything we could have ever imagined.

The week long destination wedding at the Chesapeake provided an outstanding venue for an amazing wedding. The design of this property is so well laid out and tastefully decorated making it easily customized for each couples wedding theme. We cooked and catered all week and found the kitchen amenities more than accommodated the informal and formal meals. It is a chef's dream kitchen. The versatility of The Chesapeake enabled us to have a self contained wedding week that included cocktail hours at the magnificent bar, rehearsal dinner and brunch in the dining room and the outside pavilion was transformed into an amazing wedding venue for the ceremony, reception and crazy fun dancing. All of the vendors had a great experience working at the Chesapeake to provide the bride and groom and their families with a memorable life experience.
