User1434854 Sent on 11/12/2013I had my ceremony and reception at the Club at hidden Creek earlier this month. Shanean is great to work with. She responds so quick and she is so kind. The location is so beautiful so you don't need a lot of decorations for the ceremony because the landscaping and views are breathtaking. The reception hall is very open and has a very nice layout. I can't say enough good things about the club at hidden creek. It is a great choice for anyone looking to get married in Florida. -
User1590354 Sent on 04/20/2014This venue is absolutely amazing! Great prices, gorgeous location, and helpful staff. We did have one problem with moving some tables but in the end it all worked out. It rained during the wedding but because the outside was covered no one really noticed. I recommend this location for any wedding. -
User1534964 Sent on 02/14/2014I just recently had our wedding reception at the Club at Hidden creek and I must admit I was extremely disappointed with this venue. At the beginning, everything worked out great, until the day of the wedding.
As a military couple, we had asked for military discounts, which they told us they wouldn't charge us for the champagne toast to make up for the military discount. We were so grateful and excited. But then, when it was time for the champagne toast, we didn't receive it, and we had to toast with our own drinks (in my case, i had a glass of water). When I informed them we didn't get the champagne toast on the following day, they quickly said our dj didn't announce it was time for the champagne toast, which our dj did, twice! 15 min prior, and at the time for the toasts. They then, told me they "didn't hear" the dj announcing it and were sorry. Then, they told me they would bring the issue to their manager and see what they could do.
When I contact them again to see what they would do about it, they pretty much said "Too bad, so sad". They did NOTHING. They had the audacity to tell me since we weren't charged for the toast because "they were offering the champagne toast as military discount" why am I complaining. Their exact words: "What were you thinking?" I was horrified by their rudeness.
Even though we didn't pay for the toast because it was "complimentary" as part of the military discount, I feel like we got ripped off since we didn't get it. This issue literally ruined our day.
I am extremely disappointed with this venue for the lack of understanding a costumers need. We spent a lot of money at this venue, and for what we got AND DIDN'T GET, I feel like it was a waste of money and we got a horrible customer service.
The food was great, and the servers were friendly, but the management were a shame. Never again will we make any business with this place, nor refer it to our friends and family.The Club at Hidden Creek's reply:
To respond to your review, The Club at Hidden Creek would like to first apologize again for the oversight on the Champagne Toast.
As we have explained previously, the DJ typically communicates with our staff to let us know when the champagne toast will be occurring. Our staff are not guests at weddings so they are most often in the background and not always mindful of the general announcements made by the DJ to the wedding party.
The military discount wasn't just the champagne toast, we also gave extra discounts per person on the food. The Champagne Toast was included in your 3 hour open bar. The comment "What were you thinking?" was actually asking you "what do you feel should be done about the mishap?" not in the context that was listed in the review.
We were completely blindsided by this poor review after all the compliments that were given by the bride and groom during the wedding and the day after the wedding. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and again we apologize for this miscommunication.
