    Very unprofessional

I booked this venue for my wedding in 2020 then covid happened. They allowed me to reach my wedding for August hoping for less restrictions, but August came and still only allowed 25 guests for indoor weddings. When I called to cancel I spoke to the husband who owns this place, who I have never spoken to before. I only dealt with the wife when touring and booking the venue. He was so unprofessional and rude, yelled at me every time on the phone. He questioned whether I has gotten the stimulus check and was getting unemployment. Told me " you probably got married anyway." I understand covid times are very unprecedented but in the contract I signed it had a clause for this very thing. It's sad because the venue is pretty but not worth being spoken to like the way I was. Would never recommend

    Beautiful venue bad owners

This venue is absolutely beautiful and perfect for my wedding day. The space is amazing. We were able to get ready there, have the ceremony outside, cocktail hour in the smaller room, dinner in the main. There is so much space. You get to DIY and have your imagination run wild.

The venue itself is a 10/10 if everything wasn’t broken and it was cleaned properly but the people who own it definitely ruin the venue’s potential.

Unfortunately the people who own this make this venue less than what it could be. The owners don’t get back to you on time, takes over a week + to get a response. The week of my wedding I had no idea certain expectations. I saw them twice throughout the weekend. They aren’t friendly. Made rude comments. To make sure anything I needed from them to get done I had to text them over and over again to find out information.

They also don’t take good care of this venue. So many chairs and table were broken. Some of these tables they put out for me to use should of been thrown away. Definitely not as clean and spotless as it should be. Didn’t have enough chairs for the cocktail tables. The walk in cooler light is awful you can barely see in the cooler also leaks everywhere.

For the amount of money you spend renting the place for the weekend it should be kept in better condition.

My only wedding regret is using this venue. I wish I knew the things I realized the weekend of my wedding. The venue itself was nice but the stress from the owners wasn’t worth the hassle.

Do yourself a and don’t bother with this venue!

We didn’t have a wedding there we were just there just to view it. We actually thought we were going to be looking at an place we thought was a barn bc of the very few photos they posted. This place was awful! It was a old motel they tried to convert into a wedding venue. First you drive into a parking lot that says the name but also said it was a florist too. Then as we walked into this place all that was running through my mind was “ there is no way I am going to see my daughter and future son in law celebrate something so special in this dump. I couldn’t believe ppl were giving this place five stars for a rating. It was in need of a good bleaching and new update upgraded everything. They made the inside of it look as though it were a barn in the photos but it’s far from it! I wouldn’t even throw a Birthday party. The bridal suite was a big meeting room with big ugly old leather sofas along side the wall and a big conference table. This is no place for a beautiful bride to get ready for the biggest day of her life. The men’s bathroom had a huge hole in the wall! You would think that they would have had this fixed before showing it too us. I guess it was par for the course anyway. The outside ceremony area was ridiculous. It was a gazebo that they built but there is a playground for kids in the same area. Then she said they could set up chairs for ppl to watch the ceremony however the grounds were un level so this is a big fall risk for someone! Also you have to walk across a parking lot to get to the ceremony site. Very tacky nothing elegant or beautiful about this place especially for the price!! It’s just very poorly laid out in my opinion.
Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. I am pretty sure that you will feel like we all did after we saw it. I actually couldn’t believe that we were recommended here! This was our first look at venues boy what a disappointment.

    The Country Place's reply:

First of all you ask to look at our barn but the wedding was to large so you requested to see the country place. Was never an old hotel was a flower shop at one time. Yes the bridal sweet had sofas should people just sit on the floor and the table was for food, drinks or what ever they wanted to bring in. We also apologized to you for the hole in the wall which happened the night before from a party however they are already been fixed. The playground is very small and is almost behind the gazebo not anywhere in the way of it. I'm sorry you did not like the venue but all you had to do was ask a few questions. you never said a word or even smiled while your children and husband ask all the questions. looked as if you didn't even want to b e there. Again I apologize that you did not like the venue.

    don’t bother

I set up a time and day to see the country place. When I arrived there was no one outside to meet us. So my family and I drove up to the top of the hill where we saw the barn (which looks like it needs a new roof). When we got to the top of the hill there was a man there washing the car. I told him about our meeting. He said “are you here to see the barn” I replied no we are here to see the country place. He said “Oh someone will be meeting you there then.” Okay? So we turned around and waited at the bottom of the hill for someone to come up. There were beer cans everywhere, empty food containers it was disgusting. We waited about 10 minutes before we called back. And the same man we saw answered he said “Oh I thought you were here to see the barn. That place is trashed.” We said that’s what we were interested in. He responded okay someone will be down. But we just left. This place is unprofessional, but I guess that’s what you get for the price.
