    I have nothing but great things to say about The Crosby! We had the best wedding ever, so much so, that I literally cried when I had to go back there to get some things that were left behind because it was just such a different place than what it had been and meant to me on the day of my wedding.

    They were more than flexible with me. I had a New Orleans themed wedding and I was able to completely redesign the menu to a Cajun/Creole style menu. Rhonda, Pamela, & Brian were all really great to work with and made my day of pretty seamless.

    The venue itself was beautiful, the wait staff was very professional and I was never without anything I needed come the day of.

    I had ceremony and reception at this venue, and it was absolutely gorgeous. Rhonda and the office staff did an amazing job. They were quick to respond and helpful with all my needs before the wedding day. The staff at the actual wedding went above and beyond to make the day perfect. After my wedding for weeks we heard from friends and family that it was the most beautiful and amazing wedding they had ever attended. The venue is a must see, it is truly breathtaking. It left an everlasting impression on us and all of our guests.

    Rhonda and the staff were amazing! The Crosby is absolutely beautiful and I couldn't have picked a more perfect venue. Everyone was so kind and flexible. They made sure my day ran smoothly. They always had a back up plan as well. Hands down this is the best place to get married!!

    My wife and I got married at The Crosby in Rancho Sante Fe on 9/8/12. We are so happy that we chose this venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. The property and venue were absolutely beautiful. The landscaping and architecture were exactly what we wanted - classy, well maintained, and professional. Our friends even told us that they could see hot air balloons in the sky during the cocktail hour. Everything about the venue was great - food, 3 ceremony sites, ballroom, cocktail hour locations, all the facilities, staff, location, etc. They really make you and your guests feel like you're members of the prestigious club. Special thanks to Liz Diaz and Jesse for their friendliness and support pre-wedding and day of the wedding. Liz Diaz really went way above and beyond. She was very responsive and helpful during the 9 months of planning. When stressful things were happening on the wedding day, Liz jumped in and offered her assistance. She even spent 45 minutes helping my wife put on her dress! If you are looking for the perfect place to have your wedding, then chose The Crosby.

    I am giving this review as the mother of the bride and am pleased to say that there are no words to express how wonderful this venue and its catering director, Liz Diaz, are. The site both for an outdoor ceremony and indoor ceremony is beautiful, as are the reception rooms. Liz was amazing from the start, working with us to create not only an exceptional ceremony, but everything necessary for a gorgeous reception, and the price point was very competitive compared to other high end wedding venues.
    Liz was genuinely a joy to work with, so sweet, calm, knowledgeable and totally in control of every detail. She just magically took away every bit of stress and worry that is part of planning a wedding. Our wedding was planned for their gorgeous outdoor site but at the last minute it rained and the day of the wedding we had to go to Plan B and move it indoors. Not only did Liz get this done smoothly but the indoor courtyard site was just amazingly transformed and ready to go without a hitch. The ceremony and the pictures turned out fabulous. Liz stayed throughout the entire event and guided the wedding party during the pre-event pictures, the ceremony and the reception, handling the necessaries with all the vendors.
    We knew after we had done the tasting before the wedding that the food would be excellent and at the reception people just kept coming up to us to tell us that it was the best wedding dinner they had ever had. The quality of the appetizers and the main entrees was superb, and could be compared to the finest restaurants.
    The Crosby and Liz made the entire experience so wonderful that we would give anything to relive it, including the year in planning it. As far as quality or service, responsiveness, professionalism, value and flexibility, they are the very best.

    Liz Dry and the entire staff at The Crosby were extremely helpful throughout the whole planning process. They made an effort to address and execute every request we had. We were particularly impressed with the high quality of service provided on the day of our wedding, the staff was extremely professional and everything came out perfect! We couldn't have chosen a better location for our special day.

    What a perfect location for the wedding, it was romantic, charming and elegant, the service was superb and the day was perfect!
    Liz, the Director of Catering was exceptional overall ! She was such a professional who made the whole planning process so much easier. So many times I had questions, needed opinions and vendor recommendations and sometimes, just reassuring and she was there everytime, excellent ideas and always responsive and available. She knew so many great vendors, several who were the best choice for our wedding.
    Our guest still compliment us on what a fantastic location it was and also about the FOOD - Rave reviews for the menu -bravo ! We served Skirt Steak and Scallops which was such a universal hit!
    The beauty of the property, fine dining and tremendous value made this the kind of wedding you hope for. Liz and the staff put it all together effortlessly and make it the wedding of your dreams !!

    Our wedding day was truly a "dream come true." The venue was absolutely picturesque and the food was delicious. The site coordinator, Liz Dry, had thought of every detail and made sure that the ceremony and reception ran incredibly smooth. Looking at the wedding photos, I realize how lucky we were to have had such a private, elegant wedding.

    The Crosby is a beautiful setting, having enjoyed many games of golf and several family dinners, we were confident it was the perfect place to say I do. We we're lucky to have such a beautiful spot mean so much to us, and even luckier still to get Liz and her team to bring our day to life.

    Short of literally being a fairy god-mother Liz Dry is the best thing a girl could hope for in planning a wedding. Liz was more than accommodating, provided great advice and a shoulder to lean on when I wanted to pull out my mom's hair instead. I can't speak highly enough of Liz or the service she provided us on our wedding day and throughout the planning process!

    Beautiful location for a wedding with reasonable pricing. Rhonda is amazing and very helpful and you can definitely tell she loves what she does! The only thing is that I wish I could get answers to certain questions a little quicker, but other than that I love this venue.

    My husband and I had our wedding here in June and it was BEYOND gorgeous. The grounds are so beautiful and the staff made essentially every part of the club available to us. It's also extremely private - we felt like our wedding was in a private resort. There was so many beautiful landscapes for photos, including their bridge, lake and front of the club.

    The one advice I'd offer would be to hire a coordinator. They have so many events going on and the staff is in and out of the office so frequently that it's helpful to have another event planner helping you sort all of the details. Other than that, they were extremely flexible and catered to all of our requests!

    The Crosby was the perfect spot to have our wedding. The grounds are spectacular and made our guests feel like they were entering into a secluded upscale resort. They were very flexible with our various requests and were very accommodating if we needed anything out of the ordinary. Since they have their own catering department here, you can cross that off your list of vendors to find. The food was OUTSTANDING and the portions were extremely adequate for a wedding meal. I would absolutely recommend using the Crosby for your wedding.

    The Crosby was a beautiful venue - food was great according to all my guests. my complaint would definitely be with the staff - emails were always delayed by a couple weeks, sometimes we got no response. staff was also at times rude and not friendly to work with. anyone planning a wedding knows how stressful it is- so having a venue that doesn't really communicate makes the process even more stressful. If you go with the Crosby make sure to hire a day of coordinator- this will save you soooo much stress! the wedding turned out great thanks to my coordinator. no doubt about it though the venue is gorgeous and great atmosphere for your guests

    Let me preface this review with saying that my wedding was beautiful! The location was perfect, the set up was wonderful and the food was unbelievably good....however....everything leading up to the day was stressful. All the reviews regarding lack of communication with the venue are 100% true. Back in February, I deposited with Rhonda (a former employee) and her second in command, Brooke. They were warm and friendly. Brooke was our contact until it got closer to the wedding and then Rhonda would take over, according to Rhonda. Brooke was great at answering emails within a few business days, was incredibly helpful and truly kind. But between February and October, Brooke went on maternity leave and Rhonda either quit or was let go (not sure since she just disappeared) from the Crosby and we were left working with a woman named Pamela. Pamela was INCREDIBLY hard to get in contact with. I would either not get responses or get email replies 10-12 days after the initial email. She often seemed like it was a chore for her to assist us with wedding planning. I couldn't even pay my balance on time, because she was not returning phone calls or emails. After SEVERAL angry voicemails, she gave me her cellphone number. I asked her to let me know when she charged our credit card the remaining balance after trying for SEVERAL DAYS to pay her (what kind of venue doesnt want to collect its fees on time?) and she never contacted me and instead charged my father's credit card without letting me know. Maybe things will get better when Brooke returns (in the future, an email should be sent to customers letting them know when you will be out of the office for long periods of time AND who their new contact will be in your absence) but I can't be sure. Yes, the day was lovely, the venue is great....but it was SO emotionally and mentally draining to not be able to get in contact with your venue rep months, weeks and DAYS before your wedding.

    First, let me say that we had an absolutely perfect wedding day (November 20, 2015) at the Crosby. We had gorgeous weather and it's hard to imagine a more beautiful venue for an outdoor wedding. The package pricing was really reasonable, the food was very good, the servers and bartenders were great, and we loved being able to have the entire wedding / reception in one location.

    That said, I would probably not use the Crosby if I had it to do over again. We booked the venue 11 months out and the sales team seemed very friendly. Unfortunately, the Crosby Club filed for bankruptcy ~6 months before our wedding, and no one contacted us to assure us that our event would proceed as planned. When we discovered this on our own, we spent weeks trying to get in contact with the Crosby until finally we had to turn up at the venue and demand to talk to someone. It turned out the head events coordinator (Rhonda) had recently left, and the GM then tried to tell us that we could no longer have the intimate venue space we had agreed upon - acting like we had made a mistake, when we had a signed contact explicitly laying out what venues we intended to use. He then said we would have to use the main 200-person ballroom instead, which would have completely dwarfed our 60-person wedding. After 24 hours they reversed their position and let us proceed per our original contract, but it was still not an experience a bride wants 3 months before the wedding.

    Leading up to the date was characterized by similar irritating experiences. Our contact Pam was non-responsive. We had some issue getting in the gate every time we went to the Crosby (i.e., they wouldn't let our coordinator in for our rehearsal, went through the shuttles to check off every guest for the wedding, etc.). They didn't provide the beer options we requested and didn't tell us until the day of. Etc. All-in-all a beautiful venue with good pricing, but not easy to work with since weddings aren't their focus.

    I wouldn't recommend this venue to my worst enemy. Unless you are a member there, you will be treated like a second class citizen. We chose the Crosby for our ceremony and reception because at the time, they seemed extremely kind, easy-going, flexible, and didn't have a corporate greedy feel, like most of the other venues we looked at. Little did we know, everything that we agreed upon, both verbally and on paper was violated. The only positive thing I can say about them is that the staff that served and prepared the meals was very good. I am just happy that my husband and I were able to look past all of the terrible things they did and have a happy wedding day regardless of what was happening.

    Sprinklers went off at ceremony site during our pictures! Make up and hair wet and wasted. White shoes and bottom of dress stained in mud from dirt now wet. Venue had 10 months to prepare and notify proper indiviuals to have the sprinklers off during our ceremony. We were originally offered a waived site fee - however later told that it was not thier responsibility, waived fee was completely at thier courtesy, and if we challenge another issue that arose they would not waive the site fee. So we had to settle quietly for the Crosby not upholding one of thier responsibilities -- which was that despite noting on every correspondence in writing that we were setting a bar limit and we needed to be notified prior to allowing going over limit - we were not notified and they let bar go unlimited. My wedding coordinator and myself both had been very clear in writing about the limit. Very wrong, very unprofessional.
    I didnt realize I needed to have the contract state that site fee was for a DRY wedding. DRY is not mandatory and only considered a courtesy for them.
