    Wonderful Wedding

    We had a 300 person wedding and was filled with views, history, and entertainment. Recommend this to everyone whether you are having a 10 person event or 1000!

    The venue (place, catering, tables and chairs, bar) was one of the least stressful parts of the wedding. Everything was under one roof!

    This venue went above and beyond to make our special day happen. They helped us save money wherever we could. Gave us upgrades and perks when available so it would be easier for everyone! Was willing to talk through all the different options and was always available for the never ending questions I have! Couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful or special place to get married. We wanted somewhere that was the heart of San Antonio and we found it!

    Amazing venue, staff, caterers and coordinators! Our daughter's wedding flowed seamlessly and was just beautiful!

    We are so happy that we had our dream wedding here at The Depot! All staff made sure we had every detail the way we wanted. When I walked in to the reception, I was blown away and amazed that they exceeding expectations on the set-up. The staff and service was very accommodating all night, Rosemary's Catering was amazing, and it was definitely a dream come true. Strongly recommend!!

    REALLY, the best venue/catering provider ever. They worked with us week after week and answered any and all questions we had. The view is amazing, the trains were cool, and the 2-floor building is so authentic. If you're doubting like I was in the beginning because of the price or nerves, please know it is worth it!...the price is not even that high to be honest and it includes so many perks, it is basically an all-in-one value pack. I can't imagine my bride being happier anywhere else (and that is EXTREMELY important) and this is the reason for so many great memories that my family and neighbors are still talking about!

    I love everything about Sunset Station. The wedding was absolutely beautiful and all of our out-of-town guests loved the scenery and being so close to the River Walk. Seriously this is such a gorgeous venue, I would recommend it to anyone.

    For my daughter's wedding, we used Depot 4 at Sunset Station. The reception was wonderful. The team we worked with (Michelle and Shelley) were terrific. They explained all the details and answered the millions of questions I had quickly. Every detail we discussed was carried out to the letter. The staff really took care of us that evening. And, the food was fabulous! Even though there was a UTSA game going on at the same time, things went very smoothly. I would recommend Sunset Station for your wedding!

    The venue was beautiful and a great canvas for my vision (depot 4). The price was great, but what really made the experience better was Tara Valdez. She's amazing! She answers all your questions and helps with any concerns. She's always smiling and easy to get along with. Best person to contact and work with. Thank you so much, Tara!

    When I chose the sunset station I knew it was the picture perfect venue, but what took me by surprise was the quality of food and service. Everything thing from the delicious food to the the amazing service exceeded my expectations. The RK group made the wedding of my dreams a reality. I highly recommend this place to any future bride!

    We had our wedding at Sunset Station August 15, 2014. Our ceremony was in The Spire and the reception in Depot 1. We had an amazing time! Sunset Station knows how to treat its guests. Our wedding guests are still raving about the wedding. Our waitstaff was beyond amazing.

    We chose Sunset Station for our venue for the obvious historic relevance and beauty of it. We could not have been happier with having our wedding and reception there. The service was outstanding and they were very flexible with us. We had to make a rather large change just two months before our wedding and Sunset Station was more than accommodating to that and we really appreciated it. We had our ceremony and reception in The Spire at Sunset Station and they were both absolutely beautiful! Seeing the transition from ceremony to reception in the same space was remarkable and done beautifully. The wait staff was very professional and friendly and the food was outstanding. Very happy with this choice!

    From the moment I stepped foot into Depot 1 I knew this was the place I would get married. I had such a wonderful experience from the first few emails between Elvi and myself to the end of the night when we rode away in a beautiful horse and carriage. I could not have asked for a better vendor or caterer or anything for my wedding. The food was incredible and everyone had such a great time. Big thanks to Elvi Schwandt for making it such an unforgettable experience. I would recommend this place and company to anyone who wants to have a ceremony and reception in the same place and anyone who just wants to have a fabulous wedding. Thanks so much!!! :)

    The venue was set up exactly as we had discussed. The wait staff was friendly and very helpful to guests speaking both English and Spanish. They were able to accommodate several activities during our reception. From a photo booth upstairs, a live band, a DJ and a 14 member mariachi we did have a lot going on throughout the night and they were there to help

    My fiance and I searched all over San Antonio for THE place. When my fiance saw the Spire, he said immediately, "It has to be here!" He wanted it in a church and I wanted it at the same place as the reception and the Spire was able to be our compromise. The Spire a converted church hall (gorgeous) and we were able to have the reception there with 80 people perfectly.

    Barbara Gabaldon went above and beyond to make me feel assured that everything would run smoothly and beautifully on my night to shine! She made sure that her staff and the venue and everything associated with her and the catering went so smoothly that before my husband and I knew it the night was over. The night went so great due to her planning and detail, training, and coordination with her staff! If I could do it over again the wedding would be at the same place with Barbara.

    The staff at the Historic Sunset Station were very curtious and added a professional touch to my event. They catered to me and my family in the most professional manner, i could not have asked more anything more. The food they prepared and served was outstanding. The venue, in my opinion, is in need of a touch up or remodel especially for what they charge. But you get what you pay for and their service was terrific.

    Overall, Sunset Station was wonderful for our wedding reception! My husband and I chose Depot 4 because it was rustic and relaxed (much more "us" than the fancy ballroom). The staff is sometimes difficult to get a hold of, but once you get in touch with them they are all very helpful and accommodating. The food and drinks are pricey since you have to use the in-house caterer, Rosemary's Catering. However, the food was phenomenal and multiple guests came up to us throughout the evening to tell us how delicious it was! Our biggest complaint was the parking situation - the lot that had been "reserved" for our guests was filled by another event, so many guests (and elderly relatives) had to walk quite a distance in cold weather.

    I had my wedding here and it was beautiful! Received a lot of compliments on the venue especially the food, rosemary's catering does a marvelous job!! :) This place is so unique! It's so intimate to where your guests feel welcomed.

    We booked Sunset Station Depot 1 for our August reception. I had a hard time getting ahold of them initially- don't think they have a secretary to answer the main phone- but once I got a quote and saw the venue I knew we had to go with them. The menu looks superb, the space is gorgeous even without decoration, and our consultant is very sweet and personable. She has provided lots of reasonable vendors to help round out the wedding day. The bar is pretty steeply priced, but I've heard they consistently produce delicious meals so I'm not too worried. Will update when we have experienced the big day!

    I would LOVE to give this venue a 5 star rating but there were a few bumps along the way. Overall we were taken care of really well the evening of our wedding. This venue is gorgeous and doesn't need too much decor to make it look beautiful. The head of catering was very thorough in making sure we had what we needed all evening and I was very impressed with their hospitality. The food was amazing and the Sunset margaritas are delicious! We had some many compliments on the food and drinks.
    My only issues were in the planning process - I feel like they should have some sort of questionnaire to get all of the major items out of the way instead of finding them out after you've signed a contract. Make sure you understand what chairs, linens, etc. are included before just assuming that what you see at the open house is what you get. Your DJ needs to know they will need an extra speaker at the Spire if you use it for your ceremony. Sparklers are not allowed since this venue is inside city limits. I always felt like things were blamed on me and I should know the answers and the process of planning a wedding but to me when you have an events manager they should offer up as much information as possible instead of having to drag it out of them. And having a full time job myself it was difficult to get our schedules in sync as there was very limited flexibility. We paid quite a bit and would have appreciated a little more accommodation. I've heard similar things from my peers that have worked with them in the past so just be prepared. Regardless, we were happy and wouldn't change the location of our wedding.
