    We just had our ceremony and reception here in August. It was perfect! We had our ceremony out by the pond, and it was so beautiful. The price is excellent considering everything you get for it. Having the venue the day before really helped with getting everything ready. We couldn't decorate much in the main area, but they did allow us to at least get the furniture positioned where we wanted it. It turned out really pretty and I'd totally recommend my friends and family to host their own events here.

    The Fields was a lovely venue. I guess they've changed what's included over time -- now you get tables and both types of chairs included (the brown banquet and the white folding ones), which was nice! Our first thought was that it was a little expensive, but it was really the best price we could find in town for somewhere that pretty with indoor spaces for the ceremony and reception. They also have a great pond area around the back with a cute cabin for pictures.

    The contract was a little restrictive about what we could set up when, but they ended up letting us hang things in the fireplace room a day ahead anyway when we asked. Overall it's a great place and the staff were good.

    I had just my reception here, but a lot of people use it for the ceremony too. The place is beautiful and many guests said they loved it. Tables and chairs were included for me, but if you have a huge guest list you may need to rent extra. Chalsea, the Fields event manager person, is nice and easy to work with. There is not a preferred vendor list so you can book anyone, which is nice. One thing to note: the white draping from the ceiling that they show in the pictures on their website is NOT included. It was an extra $250 I believe. I was very happy with this venue and would recommend it.

    The venue was very open as far as letting me do what I wanted with the space however they were not as organized as I had hoped! Tables are not included in the price, actually nothing is included except for the venue itself and 100 chairs however upon my arrival to set up there were tables and chairs that were still in there from a wedding a week ago! Luckily the rental company let us use them so they became very handy but the office just kept telling me they were supposed to take them! The venue was gorgeous and spacious and wonderful but there are areas I would have liked to see improvement! The floors are real wood and kept to look aged however there were holes in them that need to be replaced very soon as a few of my guests almost fell because their shoes got caught in holes! I would use this venue again if I had the chance though because it is perfect!

    The site is simply GORGEOUS. It's naturally beautiful, so we didn't feel the need to spend much time or money on decor. Also, they let you bring in whichever caterer/cake/alcohol you want, so we really appreciated the freedom there. The downside is that it's a clubhouse for a community, so there are restrictions on when you can be in for set-up, rehearsal, etc. You also have to be careful about noise level and you must end your party by 11pm. The woman in charge turned out to be very kind and generous with us, though.

    Overall, my experience at The Fields was a positive one. The venue is simply beautiful. In the beginning, the staff was very helpful, flexible, and friendly. They let us drop in to look around or ask questions whenever we needed. The only negative aspect to the venue is that it hired many new employees right before my wedding, so the few weeks before and even the day of, no one working really knew any answers to my questions and we were told conflicting answers dealing with the decorating of the venue (what we could do/not do. One new associate was not very nice to us.) We also dealt with a very rude maintenance man (although the others we had contact with were more than accommodating.) One of the earlier reviews said that the tables were not included in the price, but they were for us- maybe a new thing they started. No table linens were provided though. One style of chair is included in the fee (regular padded dining chairs) but the white wood folding chairs they have are not included in the price and can be rented for $1 each. You also have to work around the tenants since it's an apartment complex. Despite the few staff members that I don't believe were very professional, I would recommend the venue and I'm glad I held my wedding there.
