  Highly recommend!

  We could not recommend The Fishin' Pig enough! From the start of the booking process, to the wedding day, they have been such a great vendor to work with. They were very responsive to all of the questions/changes we made along the way, helpful with bar quantities, the food was delicious (we had so many compliments from our guests,) and overall extremely nice people to work with. The staff they sent out on our wedding day were also to nicest, most helpful people. We highly recommend The Fishin' Pig!

  Delicious! Affordable! Amazing!

  You can't go wrong with this incredible catering team! They were all so kind and helpful. They made my guests smile and made the day go so smoothly. But just as important, THE FOOD! OH MY GOD! It was TO DIE for. The food was delicious, guests were going back for their 4th and 5th plates. Friends were asking to keep leftovers. Other vendors were commenting that it was some of the best food they have ever had at a wedding. THANK YOU SO MUCH! Nick and I absolutely loved it and the extra special touch of leaving a catering tray filled with a little bit of everything just for the bride and groom was so thoughtful and special. Thank you team!

  Wonderful caterer!

  I hired the Norfolk location to cater my wedding and would highly recommend. They were super responsive to all of my questions and provided very detailed responses. My guests raved about how good the food was. They also provided an excellent bartender for my wedding. They went above and beyond their duties and helped with our dessert table and pre-ceremony beverages. Very impressive!

  Great Food & Service!

  I really enjoyed working with Nikki with Fishin' Pig during the wedding planning process and day of. We had so many questions and needed quite a few recommendations, and she gladly helped with everything we asked. On top of that, she was very quick to respond and extremely thorough. The food was wonderful and the staff were kind and professional. They were able to work within our budget, which was a huge plus!

  Simply the best

  Not only is the food phenomenal, but the customer service and overall professionalism of every single one of the staff sets this company apart. Nikki is so responsive and was always willing to go above and beyond answering any and all of my questions. I am still getting compliments about the food at the wedding and I would book this catering company over and over again. YUM!

  Delicious BBQ

  We used The Fishin' Pig to cater our wedding. We wanted a buffet style BBQ dinner and they delivered. We had 2 different types of BBQ'ed meat, mac & cheese, roasted vegetables, and jalapeno cornbread and everything was delicious! They were extremely easy to work with and responsive. Nikki with the Farmville location helped answer every question I had and checked in with me multiple times to make sure the planning was going well and that I didn't need anything from them as a vendor. I would highly recommend them for anyone looking for casual but delicious food for their wedding.

  Best Wedding Food!

  By far the best choice we made was choosing The Fishin’ Pig to cater our wedding. Nikki & her team were so easy to work with and their food alone speaks for itself! We received many compliments on how wonderful the food and service was! They were also able to provide us with a specific kids menu at 1/2 price as well!! We would highly recommend them to anyone looking for an affordable caterer with mouthwatering food for their big day! :)

  Deliciously Amazing

  The Fishin' Pig was so easy to work with and their food was delicious, everyone raved about it and asked to take left overs home with them! We cannot wait to go back to the restaurant to try more of their creations!

  We worked with Nikki in catering and she was amazing! Their whole team was very professional. And the food....AMAZING! Working with them was absolutely incredible! I highly recommend.

  The Fishin Pig allowed us to have a laid back barbecue style wedding while also keeping it nice and classy which was quite hard to find! They were so easy to work with and on the day of the staff were absolutely amazing. People were coming up to us at the wedding saying how nice they were and how they actually loved the food! They offered a ton of options for entrees and sides and were super flexible with on how it could be served and the set up/lay out. We used their bar tenders as well and all we had to do was provide the alcohol. The staff also checked in with us throughout the night making sure we were happy and thought everything was going smoothly. They really just made it all so easy!

  We had the fishin pig cater our wedding back in may and the food and service were both amazing. They were extreamly accommodating to our needs and budget. All of our guests raved about the food. The bartenders were great! Now I eat at their restaurant location in farmville regularly.

  Great Price, Great People

  I really liked the Fishin’ Pig despite a few issues we encountered when they catered for our wedding and rehearsal dinner in June this year. I would recommend them for anybody looking for decent food and great staff, at a good price.
  
  That being said there were a few issues that leave room for improvement. At the rehearsal dinner some of the bread rolls were a bit moldy which raises quality assurance concerns, but furthermore despite following up with an employee and email, no response nor apology was ever received.
  
  The rest of the food quality was perfect, but the food itself isn’t anything to remember. Just the basics of southern cooking. I will make a special mention of their excellent crab dip though, delicious! They were great in accommodating the guests’ food allergies by providing 5 allergen free meals (dairy, gluten free) at no extra charge.
  
  The staff were all excellent, polite, helpful, and dynamic with the chaos and demands of our wedding. They really have some great people. They also came with bartenders which was awesome for our cocktail hour.
  
  The final price was quite good for all the staff and food provided. About $30-$40 per head (estimated about 100 attendees). Considering the other options in the area west if Richmond, they are a cut above from what we saw for such a reasonable price point. Some catering costs get absolutely insane for even a medium sized wedding like ours.
