Finding a florist for the day of our wedding was among the toughest vendor searches for our wedding that I was faced with. Wedding day florals and foliage are quite costly and I was determined to locate a florist that had experience, created gorgeous floral art and was in tune with the many costs that come with weddings, and is therefore competitive with their pricing. To support my search, I composed a document to share with florists that included the specific floral design I wanted for the big day. I was in correspondence with a number of florists and when I finally came across Flower Girl Company, I was excited. The owner, Kate, is so caring and intuitive. Once we connected, I knew I narrowed down the right choice for a florist. She looked over my floral design document and we had a conversation that incorporated her artistic skill and experience and how that instinctual expertise would lend itself towards creating what I envisioned for ceremony and reception decor. After our call, she sent over a quote that further bolstered what I envisioned. We also met in person and, from that additional meeting, I know Kate was able to channel my personality into the characteristic creation of the floral decoration for my wedding. Kate made sure the decor at my wedding and reception was beautiful, and well-suited for and enhancing to our venue space and captured what I asked for. I am so grateful to know her and if I did my big day all over again, I would undoubtedly again choose The Flower Girl Company. -

Kate is incredible! We enjoyed her flower designs so much, we now follow her on Instagram and have asked for her holiday flower packages, and that was all before the actual wedding! My wife even kept two of the succulents in her flowers from the wedding and they're still alive! I can't recommend her highly enough! -

Couldn’t be happier
Stop what you’re doing and hire The Flower Girl Company! Kate was super easy to work with and was always responsive to emails. She was so easy to talk to and made me feel comfortable right from the start and was very accommodating to any changes that needed to be made as planning went on. She took some loose ideas I had and created something even more beautiful than anything I could have imagined and the pictures truly speak for themselves. Aside from her amazing work, her prices were also super competitive compared to other proposals I received with less impressive arrangements. You can’t go wrong with The Flower Girl Company! -

I can't get over how much I LOVED the flowers at our wedding! Kate is incredible -- from the very first call together, we could sense her creativity and excitement for the work she does and it absolutely comes to life. We had a vision for bright colors, a monochromatic ombre vibe going through our reception tables... Kate took these ideas and ran with it! We received so many compliments on the flowers. She created a gorgeous floral design that carried through the entire celebration and truly made our day so special. Kate is a pleasure to work with, communicative, friendly - an ideal wedding vendor. We would recommend her to all future Chicago couples! -

Kate was absolutely wonderful to work with for our florals! She is a true professional and artist when it comes to floral design. She was very responsive, she was not pushy about adding extras we didn't need or want, she listened to exactly what I was trying to visualize, and everything she delivered and set up was absolutely beautiful. I didn't tell her much about what I envisioned, yet she brought it to life perfectly. She was so intentional about how she used florals and greenery in our venue and we were so amazed when we saw how stunning the space looked. I can't tell you how many compliments I received from guests. Thank you Kate for making our wedding so beautiful! -

The Literal Best Choice for My Day
I met Kate while we worked together for a mutual client a few years ago. It was love at first design. So when it came time for me to plan my wedding, I did shop around for about a minute, but it was a no brainer! From our first meeting to the day of, she rolled with all the punches - Especially since I had to change almost everything once it was clear Covid wasn't going to be under control by 4/30/21 (I'm trying not to be bitter about the whole city basically opening up 3 weeks later!!!) Kate made the most beautiful bouquets and everything matched the proposal she created to a T. I literally cried when I saw the bouquets in person and all my bridesmaids talked about how gorgeous the flowers were. I am getting so many compliments on my color scheme and at least half of that is due to the meticulous work she did to make sure the blushes and burgundies were just right in order to compliment the greens and grays. And then there was the hairpiece. I was going to do a full blown flower crown - and I still might for my December reception) but changed my mind to a hairpiece. It was stunning, and tied in all the elements of the flowers. I have that along with my husband's boutonniere in our memory box from the day. Kate can and will do literally anything to make her couple's vision come to life. She's a true artist and I can't wait to plan with her again for my December reception. -

Kate was awesome to work with for our flowers. We ended up cancelling our big chicago reception and opted for a smaller ceremony in our hometown due to covid. Kate was super quick to respond to my emails on date changes and availability. it also ended up raining the day of our outdoor ceremony and she came prepared with everything she needed to move it indoors. we were so lucky to find her and she couldn’t have been more understanding with all of our reschedules. Thank you Kate for everything! -

Made my Pinterest Dreams Come True!
Kate was wonderful to work with throughout the whole process – including managing all the unexpected changes due to COVID-19, including a venue change 3 months prior to our wedding date. She was flexible and responded quickly to all my questions, which put me at ease! On the day-of the wedding, I stopped by the venue in the early afternoon after finishing my hair and make-up. I wasn’t expecting everything to be done yet, but everything was already set-up and it was FLAWLESSLY executed! My jaw dropped – Kate had not only delivered what I envisioned (based off inspiration pictures), but it was BETTER than what I imagined. I highly recommend Kate for all your floral needs! You won’t be disappointed. -

Right off the bat Kate came off so kind and easy to work with. We met for coffee and I shared my vision - I mentioned that I loved the circle arches which she didn’t have at the time, but she was quick to add one to her inventory!!! As we got closer to the wedding I changed my mind about how I wanted our bouquets and she was so patient through it all, she listens and throws out ideas when needed. Kate was affordable, down to earth and she knows how to make things look BEAUTIFUL! I loved how everything came out with the fall/moody vibe I was going for. Thank you, Kate!!! -

Kate was recommended to us through our planner approximately 4 weeks from our wedding date- we hemmed and hawed for way too long about whether or not we even needed a florist that eventually our planner had a Real Talk with us that even though our vision was simple, we needed an actual professional with actual flowers to actually pull it off. Enter Kate!
I had like one 30 minute phone call with Kate during which I shouted at her about wildflower definitions and word-vomited about which flower accessory I would wear (I'm a queer non-binary suit wearer that gardens, and I didn't want to look like a 'boy in a suit' but also couldn't figure out what 'more than a boutonnière' would look like).
Kate took that conversation, a copy-pasted photo spread my wife put together, and a drawing I did in crayon of our table set up, along with ~75 thrifted/vintage/recycled bud vases and made it HAPPEN. Our florals were perfect. Kate seemingly was able to read our minds and flawlessly execute a vision without any day-of input from us, in addition to being very reasonably priced. Thanks so much Kate!

Reasonable florist with swoon-worthy bouquets
I truly LOVED my flowers designed by Kate! I researched a LOT of florists - both in the city as well as the suburbs. No one had unique designs with a reasonable price, like Kate did. The flowers were so colorful and were exactly what I was hoping for. They added such a wonderful "pop" of color for our reception! Additionally, I told Kate I loved pumpkins, so she created pumpkin centerpieces and wove in mini pumpkins into the head table garland and other decor. It looked so pretty! Thank you, Kate! -
