April Sent on 11/04/2015Amazing what this place can do. Mid range on price but excellent service and creativity. Jay is the bomb! I fiance was so happen when we left the cake tasting. He wanted to see about using another place and when we went here they just blew him away with the service the options and the cakes taste so good. The location and how they make you feel when you come is awesome. -
User2448621 Sent on 12/01/2015Our wedding cake was GORGEOUS! I'm probably being biased, but out of all the wedding we have ever been to, our wedding cake was no less than stunning! It was probably my favorite "piece" throughout our whole wedding reception. It was made to perfection. A Frosted Affair provided a wonderful expereice from the delicious and very beautifully set up cake tasting to having their baker/artist SKETCH our beautiful cake during the consultation, all the way up to the actual cake day of the wedding! Everyone gave compliments on how wonderful their strawberry cake tasted! This cake was worth every penny and more. We had such an amazing experience with A Frosted Affair and would recommend them to any bride and groom who wants a gorgeous piece of art! -

I had a beautiful cake that they created for my wedding reception. They met with me for a free consultation with tasting (which other bakeries charged for). They discussed their pricing and design options. I thought their pricing was better than competitors and they allowed me to do something that was not offered at other bakeries: I made some of my tiers fake and used extra sheet cake in the back so that I could keep the beautiful cake sitting out barely touched for the majority of the night. I liked this because I've been to some weddings where the cake is only there for about an hour before crumbs are flying and there is a complete mess.
Another thing that was amazing is how tasty the cake is - at most weddings I've been to, the cake is relatively tasteless and drenched in frosting. They have some untraditional flavors and even their traditional has a twist - the wedding cake has a hint of almond in it, which kept it really light and flavorful.
Finally, the design was absolutely beautiful. I met with one of the cake decorators before to look at ideas and they were able to design a perfectly smooth cake (with buttercream, not fondant!) with almost paisley like lace piping on parts that was outfitted with fresh flowers from my florist. It was gorgeous! I also had no issues with delivery that I knew of.
If you are looking for a great cake that gets out of the traditional vein of elaborate and tasting bad, then this is where you should go. It tasted great, was beautiful, simple, and elegant, and the people were great to work with. -

We actually visited with them about 7 months before our wedding and tasted all of their incredible flavors and decided right there they were the cake artists for us. They were incredibly flexible and helped us create exactly the cakes we wanted and sheet cakes to serve lots of folks. And, when we tasted our cake on our wedding day I was immediately reminded of how perfect their cakes taste! Definitely recommend their almond and salted caramel flavors!

I had a gorgeous cake that tasted great and was truly the centerpiece of our reception. Thank you Frosted Affair! -

They also provided specialty wedding cookies as "take home" treats after the rehearsal dinner that were so cute! Our guests raved about them! Frosted Affair was so easy to work with concerning the details for our event. I would highly recommend them! -
User2500223 Sent on 01/09/2016I loved Jay and his creativeness but for a $1,400 cake that we received, it wasn't what we ordered. It didn't look anywhere near what we thought it would, it was more blue than gray and white, it even looked a little sloppy, was supposed to be on a pretty stand and instead was on a cardboard sheet. Definitely wasn't happy about that. Like I said, love Jay, but this definitely wasn't "our" cake. -
User2351415 Sent on 10/05/2015Overall, I have to start with a positive- the cupcakes itself were AMAZING! I contracted The Frosted Affair for my wedding. They worked with me to design a top tier cake, with two layers of cupcakes below for my guests. We wanted to save money, and cake was an easy place to do that. My first appointment with them was with my mom. We tasted cakes and wrote down ideas. They were relatively flexible with appointment times, although they close not too long after my mom gets off work, so it was hard to get out there. The problem I have comes with their professionalism (also related to responsiveness). They were not prompt with their emails, and took a little while to get a quote to us. We had to return any borrowed items (i.e. cake stands, etc) to them the NEXT day or it would be an extra charge. I'm sorry, but who does that? Those things in and of itself are minor annoyances that I can deal with. However, when I went in a month or two out from my wedding to design the top tier of my cake, I arrived on time. The lady I had the appointment with was late, and emerged from the back eating with a mouth full of food, which she brought to the table. That's right, she ate fast food while consulting with me, a paying client. She acted completely apathetic and the appointment took maybe 10 minutes. I told her what I thought I wanted, but that I needed a visual or something to look at to help me. She pointed to two cakes she had on a stand that looked nothing like what I said. It's like she couldn't even do a rough sketch or show me albums of cakes or anything. All in all, the quality tasted great, and I'll even go as far to say the design was alright. I just was unimpressed with the professionalism in our last consultation. I would recommend them if you know exactly what you want. If you need a lot of guidance, then go somewhere else.
