    Curtis and Carlita. (Bride) were very please with the style of the Garden's the chapel was set up so nice and our ballroom we selected for the reception was gorgeous with the lighting and the wall drapery. The use of the Bridal party room was fabulous ,me and my girl did not have to worry about who was where and was as ble to relax. On the last note I attended at wedding at this venue 13 yrs ago and mafe the comment to my friend Stephen Hooks that got married there that if I ever get married this is where it would be..wow.. I Did however the sad part is that he wasn't able to physically see it.God called him home to be with him. .overall Trudy and carmen are great people to work with in making any event at great experience.

    I was very please with the service Carmen gave to me the arrangements were breath taking beautiful I am definitely coming back for my next event.

    Carmen and the rest of her staff at the Garden Houston were incredible. They made all the stress just go away. Carmen new exactly what to do and her staff was amazing. I had a couple of changes that I made during the process of the decorating and her staff was more than kind in making the changes for me, always with a smile.

    What else can I say other than...WOW! Trudy did a fantastic job! Our ceremony area was BEAUTIFUL and our reception area was just GORGEOUS. My husband and I cannot say enough thank you to Trudy. Trudy assisted in so many different ways during the planning process. We had a bit of technical issues with the emails at first. However, once we resorted to text messaging, things were falling into place quickly. She made sure that the entire event went smoothly and took on my stress. My husband and I had a blast and we would recommend the venue and Trudy to any one who is planning a wedding.

    My Wedding was amazing! Everything went as planned and the food was delicious. The price was reasonable and the staff was easy to work with.

    This was a great place to have our reception and fit nicely in our budget. We paid extra for use of their table linens, and they also set up and tore down everything for us.

    Great facility. Great faculty and very involved in serving the community. They truly go beyond. Highly recommended for any event.

    We had our wedding on 2.22.14, everything was just as we discussed. Trudy is amazing she was always there when I needed her through texting and emailing. She went above and beyond!

    The only compliant I would have is that some of the guests said their food was cold but other than that everything was perfect!

    Our ceremony and receptiion was held here and I am so glad that we chose The Gardens Houston as our venue. We could not have asked for more. The food was delicious and the entire staff was AMAZING. Before getting married I often heard horror stories about the day of the wedding becuase of the venue. I am happy to report that this was not my case. As a bride, I did not stress nor worried about anything. The price was well within our budget and all of our guest raved about the venue. I will definitely be going back for future events and defiinitely recommend this venue.

    They took very good care of us. They provided everything they said they would and even cleaned up after we were done. They made the hall available to us the day before because we wanted to decorate ourselves and they were there early the day of the event to let in our cakes and DJ.

    We recently had our wedding at The Gardens Houston on 6.26.15. Everything turned out AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL. Guest loved the food, decorations and venue itself. Trudy did an Amazing job with decorations and her customer service was wonderful. I did not give 5stars due to not having A/C in the back bathroom area where my bridal party got dressed. My coordinator had to buy two fans to try and cool the area down. This caused me to have to cool off in the hallway due to sweating so much. Not sure if there was an a/c issue but nothing was communicated to me by management. This was the only downfall that was major in my eyes. Overall, I would still recommend this venue as it is affordable and a GOREGOUS place for your special day. #TheThompsons

    We had a couple of problems with the wait staff. Beside that everything else was very nice.

    Great location for ceremony and reception at same location. Hotel partners offer free shuttle to AND from site which is great for out of towners. There is not a private tasting for reception food; it's done buffet style during the Expos (get there early to try food), also not all menu items will be at show. Be sure to ask for what you wish to try before attending Expo. Staff sets up and cleans up - one less thing to have on your to do list! Several good picture ops onsite too.

    The Gardens Houston did a wonderful job decorating for our event. Everything ran smoothly and the price was very reasonable.

    During the first stages of planning I had a hard time hearing back from the vendor, but one this was brought to their attention it was corrected. I really enjoyed working with Carmen, she made me feel that my event was really important to her. The only issues I really had were when I emailed my final head count I also asked if children plates with Chiken nuggets and french fries could be added and the night of the wedding they didnt have them, but ended up getting our lemon chicken with a fruit cup and juice. Another issue that was more of the bigger issue for me and still makes me up set when I think about it was, the servers started serving all our guest before they brought the bride and groom dinner. We had to ask them to serve us food. We were also never served cake, so my husband and I never got any of our cake. I think it is important to bring the bride and groom things even if they are out talking because we missed out on our delicious cake that we paid a lot of money for. :(. The projector that was available for us didnt have any of the cords that was needed so our slide show couldnt be played which was a let down. Other than that, I think it was a great turn out and all our guest had a really good time! I am still super thankful that we were able to go in early and set up the room since their was nothing the night before. It made things so much easier for me!

    Pros: Beautiful venue that will make for stunning pictures. Affordable.

    Cons: Unorganized. I asked SEVERAL times if there was an area I would be able to dress for the ceremony because if there wasn’t, I would have rented a room nearby to do so since I had a photographer coming to do pictures. Each time, I was told yes. The day of, the room wasn’t available, so I had to dress in a bathroom with an “out of order” sign on it which people ignored. Someone actually came in did a #2 while I was in there. How about that smell as you’re prepping for your wedding? An older lady actually came in and said “They gave my grand-daughter a room to get dressed” Oh sooooo that’s what happened!!!! If they had told me this, I would have just rented a hotel room.
    Dishonest: I asked for red bands around the chairs. The lady I made my final payment with actually picked them out, walked me over to the chapel and put it on the chair so I would see what it looked like. I said it’s an additional charge so let’s add that; she said there was no charge. The day I arrived, no red bands on the chairs. When I questioned, the person who was there showed me my contract; the red bands were written but then had a line drawn through it as if I had changed my mind.
    The chairs were too close together; I don’t know how I was supposed to get down the aisle with an escort and a wedding dress. When I asked if someone can move them, I was told that they had no staff there to move them. You have NO staff at a wedding venue on a SATURDAY? Ok….So my wedding coordinator and usher re-spaced the chairs.
    What they don’t tell you is that the sound person will not be there for rehearsal; the guy I had seemed to be in a rush and cut the songs too short. You could hear my heels on the floor as I continued to make my way to the podium…it was an awkward 7 seconds.

    If you are looking for someone to be invested in having a PERFECT wedding day, keep looking.

    This was out of control. they charge to much for their cheap decorations, the cost for security was horrible. we had to redecorate because nothing matched my decor. Im lost for words and they should lose business.

    I am rewriting the review because I was unable to edit. I put the wrong date of the wedding. This is my true review. I chose this facility based on prior experience from over 10 years ago with previous owners. I am the wedding planner and I chose this facility for my bride. I spoke with Trudy and she gave me what she said was a discounted price. That was her choice when we negotiated the deal. I didn't know that a discounted price meant poor service and possibility of ruining a wedding. The contract was signed and all the details were done verbally. I am not going to make a big deal that the things I was promised was not there. I am only going to talk about the things that should come standard like a clean building. The chapel had trash on the floor and was not set up. The worker was rude. I later found out from my workers and the bride that the bathroom where the bride was to get dressed was nasty. Trash and even a bra from another gathering was left in the bathroom. My bride is a busy body so yes she cleaned the bathroom. I was moving so much trying to make this day happen that I missed a few things like a happy birthday balloon in the ceiling of my wedding. This pointed out by a guest. I was so embarrassed. I also was pointed out that these fools pushed the trash from the chapel to the front door and it was still there when guest came. The stupid workers stood there next to the trash. This is not all that happened and I am running out of space so this review will have to continue in another review screen. To Be Continued......
