If you are looking for a great wedding venue, look now further!! I honestly could not wait to write this review. The amazing family and team at Gassaway Mansion provided us with the most incredible wedding. Colleen and Linda were both attentive, patient, and extremely helpful in planning our wedding day. Before the wedding they helped me decide on colors, flowers, and many other details and of course made all of my requests possible. Once our wedding day arrived Colleen assisted me in every moment so that I was not stressed or overwhelmed. Our guests have complimented us so many times on how well the whole evening was ran. Our guests also RAVED about how amazing and beautiful the flowers and food were. I couldn’t have asked for a better day or a better venue.. oh & the price is extremely budget friendly. It doesn’t get better than the Gassaway Mansion.

Colleen and Linda did a spectacular job on our wedding. They covered all of the wonderful moments from beginning to end. We highly recommend them for your special day. They did such a wonderful job on the food, flowers and all decorating. I let go of my control issues and trusted them will all of the details! They are always available to chat during planning. We are extremely please with our memories and will cherish them forever! It was SO difficult to choose a few photos that represent our day! Thanks so much!

I can’t say enough about the family that runs The Gassaway. I lived 500 miles from this venue (but had grown up in Greenville) and Colleen and Linda were so helpful in the planning process. We met once, gave them my inspiration, and when I showed up for our wedding rehearsal, I cried because everything was so beautiful! Colleen was fantastic as our wedding coordinator on the day of, and had everything timed and planned to perfection. I never knew about any hiccups, and the whole staff was extremely professional. I would highly recommend this venue, they make everything so easy and stress free!!

I got married at the Gassaway Mansion on Saturday, 9/3/16. I had an amazing experience working with their staff. The facilities are beautiful, and the staff makes everything so easy. They handle catering, flowers, and rental fixtures on site, so you do not have to worry about lining up and paying separate vendors. The food and service was fantastic. They are fully staffed with a wait staff and coordinator to make sure your every need is met. In addition to that, they sit down with you and discuss your specific desires for the specifics of the ceremony and reception, so it is everything you want it to be. Because of the awesome staff at Gassaway, I was able to enjoy my engagement rather than stress over details, all for a very reasonable price. Not only that, but I had the wedding day of my dreams! It couldn't have gone any better, and if I could do it all over again, I'd go with Gassaway every time.

If you are looking for the perfect venue, look no further than The Gassaway Mansion! From our initial meeting, I could tell how beautiful this location was. Once we booked, all of the planning went incredibly smoothly. We had our planning meeting with Colleen and Linda, where we talked about colors, theme, food, etc. and I could tell they 'got' my style and the look I was going for. All of my email communication with Linda was answered very quickly and they were very accommodating (setting up additional meetings, as requested).

The day of the wedding was perfect! The flowers were everything I could have hoped for. My bridesmaids and I even talked about how 'pinterest' worthy the bouquets were. The decor was breathtaking!! Every little detail was perfect and exactly as I had dreamed. I couldn't have asked for better decor. The food was also great. My stepmom and husband both exclaimed that the mashed potatoes were the best they've had!

Colleen did a tremendous job keeping everything on schedule. I never felt rushed and she kept us informed of our timeline. She even came by during our family photos with punch, knowing that we'd be thirsty! It's little details like that that made Gassaway perfect. I would highly recommend!! My daughter picked the Gassaway Mansion for her winter wonderland wedding on Feb. 20, 2016. We were all very pleased with the ceremony and reception. The decorations were magical. The food was delicious and the flowers were gorgeous. You go in and tell them what you want and they made it happen! They made planning the wedding easier!

I absolutely LOVED everything about the Gassaway as soon as I laid eyes on it! My husband and I and our families were SO pleased with everything they did for us for our big day. Colleen and Linda are great people, and are even better at what they do! Thank You both so much for allowing us in your beautiful home, and providing us with such a wonderful wedding!!

The Gassaway did an amazing job with our wedding! Words cannot describe how beautiful it was! Our guests are still raving on how awesome it was. They stay with you the whole time planning the wedding and they make sure everything goes perfect on the wedding! I get very stressed easily but Colleen told me everything I needed to do and I was at ease. I highly recommend them!

Perfect location for a wedding

The Gassaway Mansion was the perfect venue for my husband and I. We had champagne taste on a beer budget which made searching for a venue a difficult affair. We looked for about three months without any success until one day we just stumbled across the website and were floored by the "cost for services given." We were a little hesitant at first but after touring the facility and seeing what they can do, we booked immediately.

Over the months leading up to the wedding, I got to know the staff and planning with them was so easy. I had a very specific vision in my head and I couldn't really verbalize what it was that I was looking for and really there were no pictures on Pinterest or google that epitomized exactly what I wanted. I came up with the term "vintage glam" to describe my day and Colleen and Linda got it immediately. They took what I had in my head, made it a reality and then some. I seriously can't say enough positive things about this venue except that you should book them.

The only teeny tiny drawback is communication. You have to contact them to set up meetings and to tell them anything- they will not contact you until the week of because they have so many weddings and events each month. I am sure this is very similar to working with other venues, so really, this is not even a negative at all.

I would recommend this venue and staff to ANYONE in a HEARTBEAT and hope that you take my advice and give them the time of day- they will wow and impress you to the ends of the earth and back. My husband and I were able to afford the ritzy, glitzy, over the top wedding we'd dreamed of while staying within our $12,000 budget.

I cannot put into words how amazing Colleen, Linda, Mark, & Janette are at Gassaway Mansion and the Gassaway Group! We found Gassaway while driving one day and knew that it was Heaven sent. We easily set up a tour and conversed via telephone and email prior to reserving the Mansion for our wedding. After falling in love with the beauty and majesty of the mansion and grounds, meeting the family, seeing the amazing prices, and knowing that we were able to get our wedding coordination, cartering, flowers, and rentals from one location, we quickly signed our contract. Linda kept up with us and answered all of our questions via phone and email throughout the planning process. My husband and I came up with a "simple elegance" theme, my favorite flowers- hydrangeas and orchids-, and our color- purple, and they created a masterpiece! I felt so free and relieved to know I had a team of experts who take pride in everything they do. I knew that our wedding would be beautiful simple because of the passion this family has for weddings. On our wedding day, I was captivated with how beautiful the inside and outside of the house was and how amazing the tent was as well. The flowers, lighting, and decorations were perfect. We received rave reviews throughout the day and are still hearing praises several weeks later! It was a perfect wedding with the amazing family behind Gassaway Mansion and Gassaway Group! I would highly recommend having a wedding or any event at Gassaway and having Colleen as the wedding coordinator! They have been doing this for so long that they know how to make a wedding run smoothly, especially when it rained our entire day! We forgot all about the rain and had the time of our lives! Definitely consider having your wedding at Gassaway Mansion, and go for the Platinum Wedding with the tent outside. It is breathtaking!

This historic mansion was a perfect venue. Linda was easy to work with and made the wedding run perfectly smooth and on time. Nice for both small and large weddings.

I cannot express how pleased and happy we were with the services provided by the Gassaway staff. Like all brides and parents, we had a vision of what the special day would be, and Colleen and Linda listened and transformed and personalized that vision into reality. Everything was beautiful and organized down to the last detail. It made my night as mother of the bride, as stress free as possible. An amazing feat in itself for a control freak like me! I whole heartedly reccomend the Gassaway Mansion.

I LOVE the Gassaway! They make planning a wedding so easy. They provide all of the decor, flowers, and food, in addition to the location. Colleen, the decorator, is brilliant. She always comes up with new, trendy designs and always goes over the top. The food is great and the mansion it's self is stunning. You can't go wrong if you choose The Gassaway Mansion for your wedding & reception.

The Gassaway Mansion was the perfect place for a wedding. Colleen did a fantastic job getting us what we wanted. Linda was amazing with the flowers and food. I would recommend them highly. Once we sat down and picked everything out, they took it from there. They are very creative, the flowers were spectacular and food amazing. It looked perfect. It made it so much easier on us not to have to worry about the location, decor, flowers, food and keeping us on track.

My husband and I were married at Gassaway Mansion on November 6, 2010, and I must say, Colleen and Linda are two of the most hardworking, talented ladies in the wedding business. They went above and beyond to make sure that our wedding was everything I dreamed of. With us living out of town and planning a wedding 750 miles away, it was important for me to find a venue that not only fit my style, but that would provide many of our vendors for us. After looking at Colleen's wedding blog and doing a little research, I knew Gassaway would be our perfect fit. I gave Colleen an idea of the style I wanted and she ran with it. Linda worked with my style as well, and created amazing flowers. Colleen also acted as our wedding coordinator, and made sure that EVERYTHING went smoothly, from the time we arrived at the mansion to the time we left the reception. We were so pleased with the attention to detail that these ladies provided. I couldn't be happier with the service and hard work they put into our special day.

The Gassaway Group is amazing! We are very picky and they came through and made everything perfect! I was stressing out about the decorations and everything and when we came for our rehearsal I was taken back by how beautiful it was! Everything was so perfect it almost seemed like a dream! It was everything we wanted and more! I can't say enough about how comfortable Colleen made us feel about everything! We had her direct our wedding as well and I'm glad we did!

They definitely have it all together and really know what they are doing! One of the really nice things is that everything is kind of "all inclusive", they do the flowers, food and decorations. This makes it a lot less stressful so you can enjoy this special time in your life!

I would recommend them to anyone! I can't say enough about how pleased we are with the way everything turned out!

I was married at the Gassaway Mansion on 8-14-10. It was an amazing wedding and I have received many compliments. The staff, especially Colleen, were all very helpful and sweet in the process of planning and running the day. I was a bride in law school and planning from a distance. The package deal was ideal for me and my situation. All i had to do was print pictures of the flower arrangements i wanted, choose table cloth colors, food from the menu, then sit back and let the staff prepare and run the show. On my wedding, my worst fear happened, RAIN, but they quickly within 10- 15 mins rearranged seating and moved my front porch ceremony inside, this was a great option, and should give a piece of mind to any bride who worries about controling the elements. I would recommend The Gassaway to anyone, its beautiful and a great place to have a celebration.

I would recommend Gassaway Mansion to anyone! They helped to create the most magical and stress-free wedding my groom and I could have ever imagined and I could never thank them enough for the perfect day they helped create.
I did my bridal portrait at Gassaway and they had my bonquet replica (artificial to keep forever!) and the bridal suite ready and they were so helpful throughout the photo shoot.
We did our rehearsal dinner at Gassaway and it was wonderful! The food was delicious and our guests were able to enjoy a wedding weekend at this breathtaking South Carolina Mansion. When I came to the rehearsal, I was beside myself with the decorations! I did a coral color theme with orange, blush, and red accents and it was incredible the work they had done! The flowers were perfect and there were ever lanterns with ribbons in the trees! I could not have imagined that a short meeting 12 months before and a color swash could be turned in to such a beautiful day without me having to do anything!
The wedding day was wonderful! Gassaway worked well with our planner and everyone was where they needed to be and everything perfect. I wanted only roses and the flower arrangements were absolutely perfect! The guests were speechless when walking up to the beautiful mansion and the surprise factor I wanted for the summer South Carolina wedding of my dreams was a huge success! We continue to get compliments on the venue, asking us how we found them and how beautiful the experience was for our guests around the home.
The reception was perfect as well! The food was divine and people told us how delicious it was during the reception! The cake setup and everything was perfect! It was truly magical and more than my groom and I could have ever hoped for! It was a stress-free way to do a wedding and our directions on color, flowers, and food were followed perfectly and the staff kept to our instructions and only made the whole idea more beautiful! It was wonderful, beautiful, and perfect! My groom and I wanted a simple and elegant summer South Carolina wedding. Gassaway Mansion and the staff gave us our dream wedding and so much more! This venue and its staff are truly remarkable!

My husband and I were married on May 15, 2010. We were married with close friends and family present, and two of the most amazing wedding coordinators (and people) that I have ever had the pleasure of knowing. I never in my wildest dreams could have put together or imagined a more perfect wedding. Every detail embodied the essence of my husband and I and our tastes perfectly*. Colleen and Marc Wheeler are diligent workers, aiming to perfect your vision of your wedding day. They both took so much time and effort to create the perfect day for me and twenty years from now I will still remember how helpful, dedicated and comfortable they both were and made me feel throughout my whole wedding planning process. The Gassaway Mansion is a historically beautiful and breath-taking place, with the most pleasant and incredible staff and owners! I would and certainly do intend on recommending Marc and Colleen and their business to every girlfriend I have... engaged or not!

I would definately recommend this company to anyone my son was married here on june 27,2009 and they did an awesome job it was so nice not to have the worries about decorating or flower arrangements. Their prices were not any more than any other wedding. I just had another wedding this december for another one of my children and I spent just as much for that one and I had to do all the planning which is stressful in itself my oppinion it is much better to let someone else do all the stressful work so you can enjoy this time.
