A magical day made possible by the amazing staff at Newcastle!

From start to finish, Carl and I had an incredible experience working with the Newcastle team. Their venue includes everything you need to plan an incredible wedding, including catering, linens, dance floors, tables, chairs, getting ready spaces and of course a view that is unmatched, especially at golden hour. You have a wedding adviser to help you through every step of the planning process and their whole team was exceptional. Alicia, who we first worked with was incredible and when she left, we had such an easy transition with Morgan. Morgan went above and beyond for us. We did not have a day of coordinator so she kindly stepped it to help us time the ceremony and it could not have been more perfect. Valerie and Vonnie who were the banquet captains also were spectacular in helping our event stay on time and run smoothly.

The ladies felt so pampered up in the bridal suite and I could not have been more relaxed, especially given the stress leading up to the day. All of my worries fell away.

The staff got everything set up in a timely manner and they were accommodating to all of our random requests throughout the day. I could not have asked for a better experience! We will never forget our best day ever there.

Absolutely perfect location to get married, the tent spaciously held our large group of >200 during the ceremony, plus soft seating of 5 couches, 3 side tables, and about 6 large round tables for people to sit at during the reception plus a 24x24' dance floor. All of our guests were blown away with the beautiful sunset view of downtown Seattle, plus the bagpiper. Everyone raved about how delicious the stuff chicken tasted and how perfectly cooked the salmon was. Alicia McDonald who is the event coordinator was so helpful throughout the process and made sure we had everything we needed days prior to, as well as the day of the wedding. I couldn't be more happy with my experience there and would recommend this venue to anyone!

There are so many beautiful venues in the State of Washington to celebrate a wedding, but few (if any, really) are more gorgeous than Newcastle. From the scenary surrounding the club, to the layout of the club itself, this is a wonderful venue. Our family was able to buy out all three wedding sites for the night of our daughter's wedding, which was held on a beautiful summer's night. The weather was perfect and the food was delicious. The chef offered some amazing dishes all of which were fresh and served with the kind of professionalism one expects of a club of this stature, ask the chef about his mushroom soup---which is fabulous. We were even able to have a baby sitter in one of the rooms of the club to watch over sleepy, or bored, children so that their parents could dance to the live music without worry. The ballroom was large enough to accomodate a large dance floor and a stage for the band and it still had plenty of room for our guests. The best part of using the Golf Club at Newcastle was the staff. Everyone there is well versed in weddings and everything rolled out with perfection and on time. Our guests had a wonderful time. Thank you for a lovely event, Newcastle!

What a beautiful place to hold a wedding! You get what you pay for and even though this is probably more on the high end, I am still getting calls and emails from guests that said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to. The venue settled all questions and problems quickly and to my satisfaction. This is a very professional group that was there even when I called with dumb questions like...do you have umbrellas to greet the guests in case it is raining? (And yes they do!!) The food was to die for! I 100% recommend the Golf Club at Newcastle.

We loved loved love Newcastle Golf Course. The day went by really quick, but I felt like everyone that worked our wedding really cared about us. The workers were really accommodating and made sure we were happy, fed and comfortable. Our sunset photos were amazing, all the money, time, sweat, tears, came together with the photos, the happiness and fun we had at Newcastle. Although we had changes to our contact over the past two years, Alicia was super organized and had all the details included in her documents to ease my worries. Overall, we had the most fun and memorable time.

My husband and I are so impressed by our recent ceremony and reception at Newcastle. From the start we were impressed by the service that we received (first from Kimberly, then from Lynda), but when the big day rolled around we were completely floored by the way that everything turned out. The service staff is amazing, the event was sreamlined and of course everything was absolutely beautiful. You will pay a price to be at this venue, but for what you get I have to say that it is well worth it. I am thrilled with the way that my wedding turned out and am so thankful that we chose Newcastle to host our big day.

This is the most beautiful location if you want an amazing sunset wedding in the greater Seattle area. You get an amazing view of Lake Washington, the Seattle skyline, The Puget Sound, Mt Rainier and more. We got married on the small terrace connected to the Prestwick Terrace, followed by a small cocktail hour on the other terrace and the reception inside the tent. It was amazing! It all flowed very smoothly. I planned this entire wedding from Utah and the coordinators were amazing to work with via email. Always responded within a day and usually within a few hours. There does come a price with this venue but it is worth every penny. The food was amazing and all cooked perfectly. There was a bagpiper that played at 8pm during our cocktail hour which added just another hint of character to the venue. Overall all our guests were blown away with the beauty of the venue. And as the couple we couldn't have been more pleased. If we had a chance to do it over again, we would definitely choose Newcastle!

Great venue. The guests loved the beautiful view and loved the food. They staff didn't miss a beat on the wedding day. Although the cost of the venue was high, we felt we really got our money's worth since they provided amazing service before and during the wedding day and they included any additional amenities they had at no additional costs which could have easily added up. (for example, use of the grand piano, bridal suite, coat check, candles for the tables, table number stands).

the only bad thing was that another reception was going on in the tent area while our reception was going on in the ballroom. It was a little weird to be able to see another wedding when at the patio, but hey, at least we had the patio too.

NewCastle was amazing. We got to work with Kimberly who was extremely responsive and will do whatever to make sure your dream and needs happen. They worked great with all of our other vendors and were flawless. If something went wrong no one knew. Its a high price but once you are there you understand why its worth it. The was decent which is the best you can ask for when having a large wedding. With how many people attended they did an amazing job serving everyone timely. I would highly recommend Newcastle not only for its incredible view but for the awesome people who work there!

The location of this venue is absolutely beautiful!!! The day of our wedding, April 19, 2015 turned out to be a great spring day, which made the scenery even more appealing. Since we had a total of 400 guests at our wedding, the venue was able to accommodate that many people. The only thing we ran into problems was with the organization of the buffet style and the food coming out on time...it was a bit hectic and some of our guests had to wait quite awhile to be served! Other than that, Amy and Nina were very helpful and made our reception run smoothly.

The place was very gorgeous and wonderful to have a wedding there. the service was great but we talked about a price and at the end we were a little shocked to have a number in front of us that was a lot bigger than we talked about. felt like they messed with us.

Everything was great at the Golf Club at Newcastle. The service and view is the best, but you do pay for it, so not the best value. There were also a couple of other weddings going on the same day as mine, so it didn't feel as intimate.

Newcastle was beautiful! Everything was very elegant, our wedding rep. was awesome! The only thing that was a tiny problem was that they were not that responsive at times (probably because of all the weddings they were putting together)

The venue is gorgeous however the biggest problem we had was the turn over rate for the wedding coordinator. We went through 4 in one year. After our first meeting we loved the coordinator and decided to go with Newcastle because she seemed like she'd be great to work with. A few weeks later she quit and we spoke to someone new. We sat down with her and took all our notes. A few weeks later, she quit. She didn't pass on the notes, so yet again (for the third time) we sat down with another woman repeating all the same information. And finally, after the third one quit, the fourth lady (Amy) had us sit down and for the fourth time go over everything. Amy was great, however it was frustrating speaking to so many different coordinators. Lastly, flexibility was an issue. We had bought out the entire venue, but there was a bit of confusion as to what that meant. We thought that we bought out the entire venue, however when we got there we couldn't set up because another wedding was going on. Apparently when you "buy out" the "entire venue" that doesn't mean the same thing to Newcastle. So if you decide to have your wedding there, make sure you read the fine print on what the "buy out" actually means.

The venue setting couldn't have been more beautiful! We had a beautiful day to show off the scenary. The organization for the day of the event and the catering were excellent. Trying to get someone to help you leading up to the wedding was difficult. They were very busy with other weddings and I think they had someone quit. The price of the venue was pretty steep. In the end the wedding turned out to be wonderful.

We chose the Golf Club at Newcastle because of the amazing view and the ability to have a tent without having to deal with a tent rental, etc. We initially were working with Daneka (the catering manager) but she quit about 3 months prior to our wedding. It was a bit disappointing because some of the things she had promised us we didn't have in writing or had not ironed out yet (we also had to have our initial "details" meeting all over again). Newcastle did not proactively contact me to tell me that she had quit - I found out after about 2 weeks of unanswered emails. Theresa (the Director of catering) stepped in and took care of us. She was a complete rockstar - I can't imagine the amount of stress she was under this summer without having a trained catering manager up there. She took great care of us clients and additionally did everything in her power to make sure we were happy/taken care of (especially after the previous catering manager hung her client out to dry). One of my issues with Newcastle is that they did not tell us that there was going to be a "movie night" the night of our wedding. So it was a little odd during our cocktail our to look down at the green and see a huge blow up screen and about 100 people waiting to watch a movie. The movie was not too disruptive during the reception - but could definitely be heard while people were making toasts (when the music was turned down). I would definitely check with them to make sure you are aware of EVERY event going on at the club on the evening of your wedding (not just other weddings). We got really lucky and were the only wedding that night - but if there was one in the ballroom as well (especially on a hot summer night) I can imagine the patio being a little crowded or loud. If you can buy out the tent and ballroom I would definitely suggest it. Lastly - we had asked them not to "over pour" the wine at dinner - this is something that the catering team definitely didn't listen to or follow (we also said no shots at the bar - which they ended up serving). I would also recommend having your own planner or coordinator to be there the day of to babysit their staff a little bit to make sure this stuff happens, etc. On a positive note the food was phenomenal - great chef!

Well I would definitely recommend the Golf Club at Newcastle to other brides despite some flaws - it is an absolutely breathtaking location, plenty of space, stellar views, and great food. There were a few bumps along the way; during the year before our wedding the DOC at the Golf Club changed *5* times, and I would only find out because I would finally call after not hearing back from an e-mail, to be told that person didn't work there anymore, and I was assigned to a new person. That's pretty unproffessional that they don't at least use e-mail forwarding. Secondly, I'd read some bad reviews saying if you only rent the Terrace or the Ballroom they'll book another wedding in the other location, and that it was awkward sharing the same area with another bride (obviously), so I went the extra mile and booked both the Terrace and the Ballroom for the evening, thinking I'd taken care of that potential issue. Two days before my wedding (at my rehearsal), it was just casually mentioned to me that they booked another wedding in the Terrace right after my ceremony once my guests were nextdoor in the Ballroom for our reception, so I would have to share the night with another bride after all, even though it was originally presented to me that I was paying $30,000 to reserve the facility for the night. On the day of my wedding the other bridal party was all doing their pictures on the green during my ceremony, so guests could see both me and the other bride at the same time - which was definitely not how I imagined my ceremony going. If I would have known a year ago that I would have to pay $30k to share the night with another bride there's no way I would have ever booked this venue. Luckily since they told me this just a couple days before the wedding I was to the point where I didn't really care anymore. As far as value goes, they don't charge a cake cutting fee, and they don't charge for parking, so that's great, but alcohol is not counted towards the minimum, and a couple of friends told me it was included in their minimums where they got married in Seattle - so that sucks. What really sold me on the venue was the location, the gorgeous view, and that it felt like the most spacious venue that I'd been in - many place I checked out prior to this felt cramped and stuffy. Countless guests told me after the wedding how beautiful the ceremony and the location was, and I could tell all night that people were having a great time mingling outside on the patio and dancing inside the ballroom, so because of how happy my guests were and how beautiful our wedding pictures turned out I would recommend this venue.

First, their view is spectacular and romantically special on top of the hill where you can view both Seattle and Bellevue downtown with Lake of Washington plus.
Our cater event manager who would take care of our reception party had been changed 3 times since the first we paid our donw in Jan. 2012 for our June 24th 2012 reception party.
I had used "Weddingwire.com" site to create our wedding web, meal choices, seating chart, guests list, and guest books, etc (really great tools to organize your whole wedding plan!!).
I competed a pretty organized seating chart with all guests names, meal choices, talbe ray-out, and all necessary info in the list, and emailed to them 5 days before the party, and handed the printed list to them a day before our reception (plus gifts, printed menu card, name cards everythings), but their culnary crews had clue-less without our tempo. event manager at 10:24 am for 12:00 noon party-start.
I (bride) had to all name place card and menu card setting in my wedding gown. Even all meal choices were in a nicely printed seating chart, their crews asked who ordered what meal!!!, and all guests of table # 2 had nothing when other guests at other tables started their main dishes.
I and my husband were so disappointed with their lack of customer service sense. They had another wedding party at a large banquet room with probably more guests, and too busy to take care of them?
But 6-24 was also our special day, and they should have considered it. I was told that I could use their bridal suit but I actually could not--my all personal belongings were removed to their public locker room, and I found my shoes thrown roughly on the floor. Total disatisfaction. Then we've received the afer-payment bill with $2,100 for the drinks even we once said "no oepn-bar" because it was a day-time party , and we planed to have only champagne, wine, soft drinks & (tea/coffee). Total miss-communication. (Yuko & Al)
