  Our wedding day at The Great Hall couldn't have been more perfect. The interior is so beautiful even without decorations and provides such a romantic setting. The owner was so nice and accomodating. The DJ service which was booked through the hall was amazing!! Tim was so great and really made our day special.

  The Great Hall in the Perrysville , Westview area of Pittsburgh, Pa. Was absolutely an awesome venue for a wedding reception! This old stone Church was breathtaking when decorated with guidance from Tom the manager, Becky from Remos Catering and our own ideas. The DJ was great! Every detail was an absolute pleasure to plan! An exceptional value!

  This places is gorgeous! It is an old converted church and the architecture both inside and out are fantastic. It already has a lot of character and decorations, so we basically only had to decorate the tables and we were done - which saved time and money. Tom Ravis (the owner) was very sweet and helped us to get everything we needed via our caterer. The value was phenomenal (no hall fee). The only possible drawbacks I see are that you only get to choose from 2 caterers (Erin's Fine Foods is awesome though!) and that if you choose to bring in a DJ besides theirs you have to pay a small fee. The food cost was still cheaper than many other venues, and their DJ cost was about half of other places. So, having less choices in this case was actually easier and cheaper for us. I would not trade our reception venue for ANYWHERE - we had the time of our lives!

  The great hall was a beautiful setting for our reception. We spent a lot of time decorating and Tom was very accommodating with allowing us to decorate in advance. We loved being able to provide our own alcohol which was a huge money saver. My only complaint is that the whole place could use a solid cleaning. It's quite dusty in some places and some of the tulle decorations could use freshening up. With the lights down low it's not really noticeable.... we only saw the flaws when we were decorating in the daylight.

  We held our Reception at The Great Hall last fall and everything went fantastic. We changed their table set up and put a lot of work in fitting everything how we wanted to fit it, but we made it look fantastic.

  Vendor doesn't use email. You have to call and listen to a 5 min recording before you can leave a message. Curb appeal is lacking. Inside of The Great Hall needs a really good cleaning.
