    Wonderful place to have your wedding/reception. The brides changing room was fabulous! The area around the Griswold is beautiful. The pictures turned out amazing. We didn't have anyone to play the music during the ceremony and the Griswold had someone do it for us. The staff was great to work with.

    Highly recommend this venue. Amazing building and great photo opportunities. Vicky was fabulous and very flexible with times. Would absolutely suggest this for anyone.

    This venue was a wonderful place to hold our wedding ceremony and reception! The rates were very reasonable and they were flexible with our choice of vendors! Vicki was a wonderful help in making sure there was always someone there to lend a hand while we were at the venue and our ceremony and reception went without any issues as a result! $

    This was the best venue ever! Saved so much money compared to other venues in the area. Vicki was so helpful with great ideas and advice. I highly recommend this venue!

    Our daughter had her wedding reception at the Griswold and I can't say enough good things about the staff and facilities. They went above and beyond to help us make the facility look beautiful and worked with our time line with decorating and time frame of the reception. Vickie does an awesome job! I would recommend this facility to anyone!

    Amazing! The location was perfect! The Griswold is such a stunning building with so much character. Vicki Knuckles had everything organized so the reception went out without a single flaw. Absolute greatest experience and memories created!

    Griswold Manager Vicki Knuckles was extremely helpful in the planning stage of our event and was there for us on the day of to provide whatever we needed. I cannot say enough about how great she was to work with!

    Hidden gem in a beautiful small town! It's a wonderful historic building that is very reasonable to rent!

    Adequate seating, tables & chairs

    We used an outside cater who brought food in. The kitchen was adequate for food preparations but needed to be prepared off site by catering company. To serve alcohol approval from three area churches is regarded

    Double booked

    We had everything set up, paid and ready to go. 6 months before our wedding they EMAILED me to tell me they double booked and we lost our venue

    Originally, I had made my contract with the previous manager of the Griswold, Vicki. Vicki was a pleasure to work with. Sadly, as my wedding was nearing, I was contacted by the current management, Tammy who had replaced Vicki. Tammy brought in several tours while we were setting up on the day before my wedding. These tours involved snowy shoes tromping through my reception, touching items and taking pictures. On the day of my wedding, Tammy also brought in more strangers with snowy shoes in to dirty the floors on tours. No one asked if we were ok with the tours and I felt that it was very disrespectful and my personal items were vulnerable. My wedding was supposed to be special, not a marketing tool. After my wedding ceremony, walking out as bride and groom, we were bombarded by the staff about giving permission to post photos.
    The auditorium does not include the use of their sound system if you plan on getting married on the stage. The dressing rooms above the kitchen were dirty with cobwebs, spiders and live stink bugs on the walls. The facilities are out dated. The venue itself was affordable and the brickwork outside provided a good photo location.
    However, the pros did not outweigh the cons. Management was terribly rude and disrespectful with no social boundaries.
