    Excellent!

    We had a wonderful experience with the Highlands! Sloane sold us on the property for our ceremony and reception, and Shelbi executed everything on the day of to perfection. As the bride, I didn’t have to worry about anything and not a thing went wrong. The venue was beautiful, the food was amazing, it never took long to get drinks, and the sparkler exit went seamlessly. Would 100% book here again. Thanks for the wonderful memories!

    Perfect evening

    The Highlands was the perfect venue for our daughter and son-in-law’s reception. The space was beautiful and private. It has such a variety of spaces: patio, formal dining, and bar area. The food was wonderful. The venue directors/planners were so helpful and prompt. Thank you Lexi and Dom for making our special celebrate so perfect.

    The Highlands Golf and Tennis Center in Forest Park was the perfect place for our reception. The staff was very friendly and great to work with from start to finish. The location is beautiful and the food was excellent!

    Everything was simple, professional, and delicious. The food was great, the service was professional, and everyone that we dealt with was on the same page.

    The venue was really pretty and very accommodating. The in-house catering food was also very good with lots of flexibility in prices by being able to upgrade or downgrade easily. The only thing I wish I would have known is that going in originally and until you book the venue, you work with one person, then going through the catering you work with another person, and then the day of the wedding it was a whole different person that I hadn't known at all. I think it would have been a bit smoother if this process had been a bit more cohesive. Maybe a day-of coordinator would have been helpful here.

    Everthing was great with the planning but very important promises that were repeatedly made were not done for the reception. It was very disappointing and cause way more stress then it ever should have. Thing like the table clothes would be pressed, they were not! There would be a staff of several people to set up the room and I wouldn't have to worry about anything, there was 2 and a bar tender setting up in the bar. It took them a long time to set up the tables we needed for the memorial, cake and gifts which caused a last minute rush. There were dead bugs on the window sill that i brought to the attention of the manager, thwy were not removed, even though we were told, don't worry we will take care it. The bride and groom went to do the first dance after taking 1 or 2 bites of food and when they returned to the head table, their plates were gone and the buffet had been taken down, very quickly. The guests complained to me after the reception that they would get a drink, take 1 drink, set their drink down and it was removed. The tables were not released for the buffet in order, skipping 3 tables of obvious family members, including the grooms parents. We arrived 4 hours early and we were ready to set up but still I was told no, it will be fine, they will press the table clothes and set up the center piecea, etc. Needless to say it was a terrible rush as guests were arriving and waiting in the bar because the room still was not set up. Family and friends came to the rescue, not the staff! I emailed the manager several times trying to find out what the gigantic failure of service was but I have not heard anything back since I was told she would "review the video" and get back to me and it has now been months. I even emailed the general manager but he didn't bother to respond either. I have waited months to do this review holding out hope that they would make things right or al minimum APOLOGIZE! That didn't happen either!
