Carli and Kelsey at The Concierge Travel Group delivered a not-so-minor miracle! I asked them about planning a 3-week honeymoon in Switzerland, to include flights, hotels, rental car, activities, ... all with very specific requests (airport pick up/drop off, fireplace in rooms {when possible}, skiing/ski guide/instructor, restaurant reservations, and much more), but they had only 2 weeks to plan it. They delivered much more than I ever could have hoped for, added special and personal touches at certain points in our honeymoon, and when any issue happened they were on top of it and helped resolve everything. I wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again. I could only imagine what they could have delivered if I had given them more time. “Thank you!!” doesn’t even begin to cover how much I appreciate them. -

Carli was our honeymoon planner
She is extremely knowledgeable, gives great reccomendations for tours and dining, and picks beautiful hotels! She ks so easy to work with. We communicated mostly via email and gives quick responses with lots of info and suggestions. We are glad to have booked through her! We have just started out honeymoom and its going wonderful cannot wait to see how the rest turns out! -

Casey Sent on 06/19/2017We recently used The Honeymoon Concierge services for our Mediterranean honeymoon and I have nothing but wonderful things to report. Carli was SO amazing at arranging flights, hotel rooms, transportation, activities and reservations. Jumping around to a few different destinations in Europe can be challenging at times, but we were in the best hands. Cars were always waiting for us at each stop, all of the hotels knew it was our honeymoon and treated us with the most special treatment, and everything she arranged for us was seamless. Carli undoubtedly helped us pull off the trip of a lifetime, we can't thank her enough! -

She is extremely easy to talk to (& very patient with our many questions!) and makes us feel comfortable in stating exactly what we're looking for. My fiance and I knew we wanted to go to Hawaii but there were so many options and things to do, we knew it was best to have some help. Based on the questionnaire we filled out, she quickly got back to us with a full itinerary including a range of price options based on our budget (wow). When we inquired about other hotels, she gave us her honest opinion with details on how/if it would change our budget, which helped us make decisions. Carli has been so accommodating, responsive, and understanding of our many inquiries and that truly goes a long way when you've got a million things going on before your wedding. She even emailed us while she was on her own vacation! Our honeymoon is in a couple of months and we cannot wait to go!! -

Overall, the service left a lot to be desired. Considering this is not a free travel agent and you pay $500 for “vip treatment” which is sold to come with perks/room upgrades. The service was unsatisfactory. Luckily we realized this due to her unresponsiveness throughout process and started planning the trip on our own. We signed on with her in January she booked the hotel and car but nothing more until a month before our trip in June. I guess we had higher expectations and considering the fee and “customized itinerary we expected a detailed itinerary w/ more suggestions. Carly does a great job booking the hotels and making dinner and car reservations but nothing more. It leaves you wondering what you ultimately paid for. We highly recommend Hawaii as a honeymoon destination and completely enjoyed it. But that was due to our own planning and suggestions from friends. -

We used the Honeymoon Concierge to book our August 2019 honeymoon and the service left a lot to be desired. Please note this is not a free travel agent. There is a $500 fee associated with this service, which they claim to be for top-notch, luxury service and perks and room upgrades throughout the trip. The fee was simply not worth the service we received or the promised “perks” (which were few and far between). We also never received a room upgrade. Instead of writing a lengthy review, I will simply copy and paste an e-mail I sent to Carli after our honeymoon, to which she never responded (and I sent the e-mail almost 2 weeks ago).
Dear Carli,
Now that we are home, I wanted to touch base with you about the service that was provided to us for our honeymoon. When I was first deciding whether to use a travel agent, and which one, I came upon the Honeymoon Concierge from a google search. I had a phone call with Sami and one of the things I specifically asked her was what benefit your service would provide, given that I do like to research and plan my own trips, but didn't want to feel stressed out about that while also trying to plan a wedding. Sami assured me that by paying for your service, we would be given top notch service, attention, room upgrades, and perks throughout our travels that we couldn't get by using other travel agents or by booking the trip ourselves. Relying on this, we paid the several hundred dollar fee for your services - a fee that almost no other travel agents charge.
The process of booking our honeymoon with THC left a lot to be desired. The first itinerary I received was bare bones and didn't even have our origin city correct (Sami had us flying out of Newark instead of Pittsburgh). It did not incorporate any of things I mentioned that we wanted for our honeymoon (it had us staying in Nice and Dublin for the entire trip when I specifically mentioned we wanted to visit several cities in each country). It also had the dates of travel wrong. The itinerary was re-worked several times. To be completely honest with you, I did a lot of my own research, because I felt like Sami wasn't giving me any options to choose from. She would simply say, "book this hotel" or "stay in this town" without giving me any options to choose from. In trying to make an informed decision for what is supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip, I thought we would at least be given options to discuss. Further, I would send Sami e-mails and oftentimes not hear back for over a week, sometimes 10 days. I would have to follow up to get a response from her - sometimes I would have to follow up twice before I heard back. This is certainly not top notch service.
I was ultimately happy with our itinerary, but mostly because I had done all of the research myself and simply told Sami what towns we wanted to visit and what hotels to book for us. Again, we were relying on her promise that by booking through her, we would receive perks and room upgrades that we would not otherwise get.
Leading up to our honeymoon, no one checked on us. No one offered to check us into our flights, like Sami said you would do. We certainly were not given any room upgrades throughout our trip. The one room upgrade we received on the last stop on our trip in Galway was because I asked for it myself at reception, letting them know it was our honeymoon and asking if they could upgrade us. I wish I had thought to do this for our whole trip, but I figured this would be handled before we even arrived. Further, I e-mailed you from Nice (France) to let you know the room we were given was not very nice at all (small and a view of a dirty alleyway and apartments where people could look directly into our room) and you did not even respond to me.
In sum, I just simply don't know what we paid for. The service provided and any "perks" (a bottle of prosecco in Dublin, a glass of champagne each in Cannes, and a bottle of wine in Nice - our schedule did not allow us to attend the "Afternoon Tea" in Killarney) could have easily been secured on our own by simply mentioning it was our honeymoon, or via a free travel agent. These small "perks" were not worth the fee that we paid to you, especially because I would assume you also received commission on all of our bookings, over and above the fee.
I know you are busy and probably pay more attention to clients with much higher budgets because you receive more commission for their trips (edit: our budget was by no means measly - we spent 5 figures on our honeymoon, all said and done), but as paying customers, we expected the same level of service, and did not receive that. We regret spending money on this service that we could have spent on our wedding or honeymoon.
