Unforgettable Wedding
Danielle and her team at Crestwood made our wedding magical and unforgettable. Danielle did an excellent job answering all questions and honoring any special requests throughout the wedding planning process. This experience was exceptional, especially given that we decided to move our wedding date. Along with helping us early in planing, she took time to do a detailed virtual meeting with us a month before the wedding. The week of the wedding she was quick to respond with any last minute changes. The day of I felt at ease knowing the team would ensure everything ran and was set up smoothly. Our wedding day was everything I could have asked for and more. I can not thank you all enough!Danielle and her team at Crestwood made our wedding magical and unforgettable. The Inn at Crestwood was absolutely beautiful! It was everything that we imagined it would be. The beauty of the venue is so laid back and scenic. I was extremely pleased with, Vanessa, the wedding planner. She was very accommodating and helpful. We live in Florida and it put my mind at ease knowing she was there for me.The Inn at Crestwood was absolutely beautiful! It was everything that we imagined it would be. AMAZING staff and venue! Couldn't say enough great things about this venue. They took away all my worries and went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. We are now friends with the staff and look forward to visiting again soon! You will NOT be dissappointed with this venue, I promise! Vanessa and Kim were so helpful and really helped make my dream a reality!! The inn at crestwood is a dream location completely stunning and it's just amazing that their team is as good as they are! I used the terrace for my ceremony- lounge for cocktails- and then terrace again for reception and it was perfect!Vanessa and Kim were so helpful and really helped make my dream a reality!! When searching for our dream wedding venue, my then fiancé & I wanted several things: #1 a beautiful mountain view, #2 an intimate & romantic setting for our guests, & #3 someone that was responsive & easy to work with. After several weeks of pulling my hair out because I couldn't find a venue that matched all 3, I stumbled upon The Inn at Cestwood. After a few quick emails, Daniel & I knew we had found our dream venue!
The Crestwood exceeded our expectations and truly were the biggest reason why our wedding was everything we dreamed it would be! Being in the wedding industry myself, it's rare that you find a gem like the Crestwood! Thank you for being so easy to reach, attentive, and generous during the whole wedding process! I could not be more happy with Crestwood Resort and Spa. CeCe Hampton was our wedding planner and biggest advocate as she made the entire day go off without a hitch! The entire resort is so very aesthetically pleasing and with CeCe and her ability for intricate detail, she was able to make the space reflect both my husband and I's personality. Most of our guests came from out of town and loved staying at the resort. We were married in the restaurant which has floor to ceiling windows that overlook the Blue Ridge Mountains, absolutely breathe taking. Cocktail hour was held under a beautiful tent on the patio, the trees lit up with white lights made the entire space look so very majestic. The staff was so kind and attentive, we couldn't have asked for more!I could not be more happy with Crestwood Resort and Spa. Crestwood was the perfect location for a weekend wedding. Accommodations were wonderful for 100 guests, food both evenings was fantastic. Staff was awesome and each guest had a really nice time. LOVE The Inn at Crestwood. We hosted our rehearsal dinner and wedding at this venue. This is the perfect place for an outdoor garden wedding in the NC mountains. We decided to purchase the month of coordinator package (we live 2h away) and they did not disappoint, running all the details for us and allowing us to have a great time. They have multiple venue options, and were flexible with their menu to accommodate our requests for plantains and turnovers. The guests can't stop talking about our venue and our food! Unfortunately, the Inn was primarily booked with another wedding during our wedding night and we had to ask guests to look elsewhere. FORTUNATELY, the mountains are filled with endless cabin possibilities allowing large groups to enjoy the mountain get away together. Crestwood was an ideal location for the wedding and reception. There are several possible locations both indoors and out for the ceremony. We had our ceremony on the lawn, which has beautiful panoramic mountain views, and our reception in the Dining Room which has the same views out the 30' floor-to-ceiling windows. It was also nice to be able to have the guests just head inside for the cocktail hour and reception rather than having to travel to a different location.
They provide the catering and although the food was a bit pricier than other caterers might have been, it was delicious and we didnt have to worry about dealing with an outside caterer bringing in food. They also include all the table linens, dishes, stemware, and silverware so you dont have to worry about renting anything. The venue cost, particularly for the dining room, was quite high, but they recently lowered their prices and it is now very affordable.
Erin is in charge of event planning at Crestwood and she is very willing to work with you to make your day perfect as well as being available (more readily by phone) 5 days a week to answer any questions. The Inn also has several options for lodging that can accommodate all of your guests' needs. There are less expensive lodging options in Boone, but the Inn is rather nice and it is good for guests to be able to walk to their rooms after the reception. They also offer a room-block discount.

What a gorgeous venue! Aside from the shear beauty of the place, my husband and I chose Crestwood because our families were traveling from far away and we wanted to spend time with everyone. As Crestwood has inn rooms, villas, and cottages, it was the ideal location. The people who work there were all so helpful throughout our year of planning. It was a magical place to get married. We look forward to visiting for future anniversaries there.What a gorgeous venue! Was initially told 2 night minimal required which deterred some friends. Come to find out some guests asked and were given 1 night option. This worked out great but I would have liked to have been informed that 1 night was actually an option. None of this would deter me from recommending, though. Our guest were blown away by the long range views behind us as we stood and said our vows. This terrace is an amazing spot for the ceremony. The staff was very helpful and delightful! Wedding venue in the beautiful mountains of NC? Yes please! This sounds great until you have a wedding at this venue.
Planning Phase
- Very “nickel and dime” situation, new coordinator (mid planning phase) would not honor agreements set prior to the change in wedding coordinators
- Coordinator was very rude and disrespectful in her communication, delayed responses or no response from emails and no communication the week before the wedding
Wedding day
- No communication from coordinator which meant the agreed upon seating/setup was not broadcast to ANY of the staff on the wedding day. Staff was very kind and accommodating, but had been given ZERO instructions
- Coordinator made a brief appearance on wedding day but had no positive communication with any of the wedding party
- Nice Mountain View, but venue is outdated. Not very clean (broken window blinds, dirty windows in main room where ceremony was held), no A/C turned on prior resulted in a hot wedding for everyone attending and the main venue windows radiated heat.
Overall, very overpriced for what you get and the hassle you have to go through leading up to and on the wedding day. Very disappointing experience and they were not accommodating at all. !!!BRIDES BEWARE!!! I had to do a complete venue/city change six months before my wedding because the staff at the Inn at Crestwood did not communicate properly amongst themselves or with me. Rather than own their mistakes and refund my $3500 deposit, they tried to give me the venue left overs to ‘make-do’. Please read to the end before you book any wedding event with Crestwood. I found out the day before Thanksgiving, 2016, that most of my room block had ‘accidentally’ been given to the Friday and Sunday weddings. My first reaction that day was, OMG, you’re going to have to call all those other people and tell them you’ve made a mistake and they can’t have those rooms, to which Vanessa responded “well they’ve already paid for those rooms, and you haven’t paid for any, so we can’t do that, and we have no signed room block addendum for you”. I had never, in 13 months of working with them, been asked to sign and return that document. I realized that it was unfair to ask other couples to make sacrifices on their wedding weekend to rectify mistakes and poor management decisions made by Crestwood. I also felt that my wedding at Crestwood would never be what I originally planned or pictured because of what happened, and for the above reasons, we decided to just move the whole wedding. I shared these points with Vanessa and told her that I would like a refund of our $3500 deposit. Rather than take ownership of their mistakes, Vanessa/Management/Owners went on the defensive and got extremely rude. They said that 1) had I sent the room block addendum back, we wouldn’t be in this position, and 2) they felt they had been more than accommodating by offering to give me two free rooms where we could get ready, and by calling the other brides to try to get rooms back from them.
