Amiee was great, very professional. We loved the venue and Inn, everything was perfect. We were extremely grateful for her flexibility with self catering. The Barn is absolutely breath taking, I would definitely recommend The Inn at Grace Farm for any special event.

    Our Perfect Day!

10/10 I could not help but share our experience of the most perfect wedding day thanks to the The Inn at Grace Farms and it’s amazing owners! The views are astounding, the farm grounds are immaculately maintained with the most beautiful flowers and vegetation, and the stone building and circular barn are so incredibly charming. Every aspect of this place is absolutely picturesque lending to so many stunning photo opportunities. This is a destination wedding! We fell in love with this place from the moment we walked the grounds and knew this place was the ONE! It exceeded every expectation and every dream we had for our wedding. A huge thank you to Aimee who is so remarkably thoughtful and went above and beyond to ensure everything was just right for us and offered additional special touches that only added to the elegance, charm and perfection we found all around us at Grace Farms. Highly recommend! We will forever be thankful for our wedding there and for all the amazing photos by Amy Bennett that captured the memories of that blessed day at a place that can only be described as heaven on earth! Words cannot fully express how perfect our experience was. Thank you immensely!

    Wedding during COVID-19

The venue is absolutely beautiful and Aimee was a pleasure to work with. Getting married during a pandemic definitely added to the already stressful task of planning a wedding, however Aimee didn't miss a beat and was so calm and accommodating. I picked this venue because it has an updated aesthetic that no other inn in Vermont seems to have. From the actual inn and stone house lodging, to the wedding barn, the aesthetic is perfect. The barn itself is SO gorgeous, it made the decor aspect so easy. All of our guests commented on how lovely the venue itself was and the gorgeous views from the property. Aimee was always super responsive and full of ideas and wedding knowledge!

    An Unforgettable Vermont Experience

My husband and I were married over Labor Day Weekend at the Inn at Grace Farm, and couldn't have had a better experience. Our families were able to rent the estate (Stone House, Inn, and Tiny House) for the weekend, and the accommodations provided us a beautiful place to mingle and enjoy each other's company. (with beautiful views and grounds as the backdrop!) Logistically, we had ample time for set-up the day before the wedding, and we were able to hold our food truck rehearsal dinner on the grounds as well. Aimee, the venue owner, was delightful to work with. I'm an extremely detail oriented person, and she was gracious, thoughtful, and quick to respond to my countless inquiries/questions over the course of the year as we planned our wedding. (even allowing us to visit multiple times for walk-throughs, measurements, etc before the date) Our wedding day was so perfect, it almost felt like a dream. The barn was the perfect size for our 82 guests, and the views were breathtaking. We had multiple guests and vendors tell us that our wedding gave them chills (in a good way!), and that it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever witnessed. Our families have already teased the idea of returning to the Inn for a reunion next year because we had such a wonderful time. I can't thank Aimee and her family enough - they own a truly magical property.

A Magical place for a Wedding Weekend!

My partner Alex and I were married at the Inn at Grace Farm on June 29, 2019. We rented the entire inn for the long weekend (Friday-Monday) for our immediate family and bridal party members. We were able to extend our time together with one another and made memories that will last a lifetime. The inn itself is beautifully crafted and our guests kept raving about the space and the grounds. The rooms are large and well-designed. We were married outside and had our reception inside and it was the perfect size for our party size (95 guests). I can honestly say it was everything we wanted and more for our wedding!

Aimee, the owner was incredibly friendly, helpful and responsive. She made sure we had everything we needed and I could see how much she truly cared about us and our experience at the inn. We were a little worried about rain for our weekend but the weather was perfect for our wedding! The overcast clouds over the mountains in the afternoon of our wedding made for epic photos and cool weather. We only had a tiny bit of rain at the end of our reception which was actually perfect and made for a fun exit! It was such a beautiful venue and it felt like our own private little slice of Vermont. I HIGHLY recommend the Inn at Grace Farm!

The Inn at Grace Farm's reply:

This is such a rewarding review. Thank you for sharing your details for others to envision their own day and your kind words for our efforts. Being in the business of love is fulfilling. I love your story of Alex from Toronto, and you from North Carolina choosing Vermont as a meet in the middle destination wedding. Best wishes in your new journey together!

    Flawless experience/stunning barn

My husband and I had an October wedding at Grace Farm and we could not have been more satisfied. The round barn in stunning with views from the inside of My Mansfield. Everything is so well kept including the flowers/garden, bathrooms, bar, beautiful wooden tables and chairs, a gorgeous wood fireplace. The outdoor space is perfect with Mansfield in the background for the ceremony. Plenty of room for large tents too. The stone house and the inn to the right of it are connected and we rented out both for our families. It was perfect that we could have everything there the whole weekend- the rehearsal and dinner, ceremony, reception...we didn't even go off property for photos because everywhere you look is a gorgeous backdrop. Our guests were so impressed with every bit and our families absolutely loved staying there. I can't tell you how many guests gave compliments on the barn and the whole property. Aimee made everything so simple. She was so accommodating, helpful and super easy to work with. When the weekend of the wedding came, I had nothing to worry about. I never felt overwhelmed and if I forgot something, she had it. Thank you Chad and Aimee for the perfect wedding weekend!

PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT! We owe Aimee Fellows, the owner, more than we can ever even give. She graciously bent the rules and let us have our wedding here even though they already had a wedding booked for the day before. (they typically only do one wedding a weekend..which i find to be so refreshing...its not just a wedding factory). We had an emergency situation where we had to find a new venue with just 3 months to go, and Aimee responded quickly and like a knight in shining armor. The stress of having to pull from our original venue was so worth it!!! it was a blessing in disguise because it led us to the inn at grace farm which was just STUNNING and perfect in every way! 1,000% better than our original venue choice. it was a perfect location. The mountains and the views are incredible..photos dont do it justice. The barn is beautiful, the inn is charming and quaint... perfectly vermont.

Having our wedding at the Inn at Grace Farm was one of the best decisions we have made as couple! Our wedding date was 9/30/17. The location is beautiful, the October Barn was the perfect venue for our size wedding (about 60 guests), and Aimee was helpful the entire weekend. Although we didn't have that much extra time, we were able to venture to the Foothills Bakery in Fairfax, recommended by Aimee, and we were not disappointed! We only wish that we could have spent another week at the Inn. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we loved having a kitchen and living area where we could gather with our family and bridal party for the entire weekend. We definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a quintessential Vermont wedding. I hope the pictures I've attached do the venue justice! I absolutely loved this venue and the owners! We had the most magical day here, with incredible views of mount mansfield, beautiful rainbows across the mountains and fields. The field has an amazing background of evergreens so it will never look bare, even in late fall and early spring! owners are so accommodating, and the price for this venue is extremely reasonable. Loved being here and working with them. Definitely Recommend.

    Beautiful Venue!

We had our dream wedding here in September! The venue is perfect, the view of the mountains is stunning, and staying on-site in the inn made life so easy for myself, my family, and our wedding party. Aimee was wonderful to work with :)

Gorgeous venue and wedding barn, lots of space for family in the Inn, and Aimee goes out of her way to accommodate needs and requests. Top notch!!!

Many of Our friends and family said our wedding was the best one they had ever been to. We are sure that was in large part due to the venue.

I do not recommend this venue

I hate to write this review but unfortunately, here we are. My husband and I got married at the Inn at Grace Farm on 11/11/22 and our experience was less than pleasant. I would never recommend this venue to anyone sadly.

    1. Venue changes and failure the notify me sooner:
Aimee the owner has failed to notify any of her couples about the fact that her barn has completely changed colors. THIS BARN IS NO LONGER RED and this venue is actually lying about what their venue looks like now.
Personally, I don't have any qualms with the color change. What I take issue with is her failure to communicate the changes in a formal matter. Changing the barn from red to white is really significant and that is a big change. That is not the venue that I paid for and Aimee is lucky that I like the change. I'm willing to bet that some of her couples weren't as kosher with her decision and that is not a headache that I will press her about. What I will stress about are the arches.
Aimee emailed me one week before my wedding notifying me that their remaining arch was damaged. Aimee has advertised in the past a birch arch on social media and also to me verbally. Now both of her arches are broken and now there are NO arches on their property. Aimee claims that she never advertised a birch arch to me but I don’t really know how I’d know about one otherwise. According to our conversations since we booked in April, the birch arch had it had broke sometime in early summer just before our tour. But in your conversation with my planner, Aimee stated that it had been broken for well over a year. So I'm just a little confused as to how I was under the impression that there was a birch arch available since I decided to officially hire the planner after that tour.

    2. Miltary Discount
When we contacted Aimee, my mother asked her if she did a military discount and she said yes. Now, much to my surprise, my planner is told me that you don't actually offer this discount and that she was speaking as if she had really pulled us a favor. Not only is this extremely insulting to my father's service to this country but if she doesn’t offer a military discount then why in the world would she give us one? My mother did not convince Aimee to do anything. She's not one to drive a hard bargain. She asks everyone. She asked our caterer, and she said she didn't offer any. I don't see what the issue is here. The problem is that our wedding was also on Veterans day and you were complaining about giving us a military discount. I really do not see how giving us a discount that they don't normally give and then regretting it is our issue.
Furthermore, this is problematic because I mentioned to a couple interested in the venue who was military that the Inn does a military discount. I didn't know that they don't normally do this discount so I genuinely hope that this isn't an awkward conversation that they now have to have with folks.

    3. Failure to provide venue details
I specifically asked for details from their venue that I never received that Aimee promised she would get to me (the circumferences of the lights). This was a really important part of my vision for the decor that we did not get to see come to life. I specifically asked Aimee in person and Aimee claims that she never met me so I don’t really know what to say other than I literally recorded our entire walkthrough and I have video proof that she was there and that she did meet me. More on that on the next point.

    4. Self-guided tour
Upon our arrival at the inn for our tour of the venue my now husband, one of my bridesmaids, and I felt a lack of willingness to show us the lodging side of the venue. My husband was really offended that Aimee did not lead the tour of the stone house or the red house to show us the amenities It is a cultural thing. But believe me, it did come off like she was too busy gardening to show the premise to us. Believe me, I know we aren’t the traditional couple who get married at this barn but I can assure you that we felt completely judged the moment that we stepped out of our car.
While Aimee did come into the barn with us for the actual event space I would just caution her this, just because we had booked the venue already doesn't mean that we haven't already started thinking about the experience that we are having with you.
We showed up maybe 10 minutes early to the showing I do admit that and we were willing to wait but I thought that she would walk us through all the parts of the houses and the venue. I do venue tours with my couples all the time (I’m a wedding photographer) and the venue folks are there and VERY present. Showing us all the cool features of the venue, all the cool photo spots ( because ya know I'm the photographer). You are the only person I have ever had a hands-off venue tour with and I'm so sad that it was for my own wedding.

5.short notices or no notices for payments
We weren't sent any payment reminders BEFORE the payment was actually due I'd like to clarify not past due. I am also a wedding vendor in this industry and I do my couples the common courtesy of giving them 3, YES three you read that correctly, payment reminders.1 one month before, 1 two weeks before, and another 3 days before. That way there is truly no excuse for being past due on a payment. I think that relying on your contract is a whole lot of baloney. You need to remind your couples that their payments are coming up because honestly Aimee we work in the service and hospitality industry and we need to cater to couples .... and I have learned so much about what NOT to do through my own wedding for future couples. I have so much going on in my life and literally paying your security deposit was the last thing on my mind. Family drama, health concerns, wedding drama, business drama, all that jazz… My point is, yes, a payment reminder would have actually been nice because now I look like the one who can't pay their vendors on time. Please speak to any of my other vendors. I have made ALL of my other payments on time.

    6. Failure to respect boundaries
I had asked my planner to reach out to you and tell you that I would reach out to you when I was ready. Aimee kept emailing me and calling me even though I made it clear that all communications should go to my planner before the wedding. Because of all the stress, she caused me she made me fall behind on my edit cue and I was desperately trying to wrap up two galleries before the wedding so that they didn’t weigh me down but the stress and anxiety of this entire situation set my editing timeline back by two days and messed up my entire workflow. I had to beg her to email my planner only because I was literally paying her to do all the communications with my vendors and Aimee clearly didn’t understand that Aimee proceeded to email me back even after I begged her to just communicate with my planner. She needs the final word.

    7. Failure to clean the property
Ok we are now on our wedding weekend and we arrive at the inn and we inspect the rooms and we find that most of the rooms were not properly cleaned. They left hair rollers from the previous guests were left on the floor. We found a dirty Kleenex in a drawer with god knows what in it. Dead bugs lined all the windowsills. Most of the doors did not close properly. We had to close ours with a chair. The blinds did not roll up properly in our room. Most of the bathrooms did not have restocked toiletries. It was a mess.

    8. Unsafe venue
The barn itself has electrical issues. During the reception, the entire barn almost burn down because their outlets were short-circuiting and were sparking out like nobody’s business. This caused the lights to flicker and ultimately fry all of the twinkle lights on the ceiling. This building is NOT SAFE. It is a total fire hazard and we were concerned all evening.
In addition to this, the stairs going to and from the houses to the barn do not have any lights and it is extremely dangerous at night. At least 5 guests slipped and fell. There are no railings. The wood steps going up to the house our deteriorating. I twisted my ankle on one of them.

Honestly, The barn itself is stunning but I would never get married here again there are so many better venues out there. It is not worth it.

The Inn at Grace Farm's reply:

While the very first statement in this review claims, "I hate to write this review" a direct email prior to; but after a denial of a $1800 refund request from this reviewer, stated: "I can not wait to roast your venue". This type of bullying sets the tone for the remaining theme of the review. HONEST reviews whether negative or positive can help both the owners improve and potential clients get a feel for the company. This review does neither. 1- The weathered barn was due for paint to protect the exterior. Most couples were notified prior to booking, however, we had been on a waiting list due to Covid back-log of labor services. I am happy you like the color. Past photos on social media can not be 100% removed and an accusation of "lying" is extreme. The company webpage, facebook, and instagram show several inspirational shots reflecting the current color. Our signature front lawn wedding arch has been the only promised arch- although you alerted us early on that you would not be using that. We are thankful to past couples who have left behind moveable arches for others to use as desired. Multiple wedding ceremony spots allow a custom location.
2- We are guilty on this complaint. We DID give a military discount for a wedding exactly on Veteran's Day (11/11) for several hundred dollars off. The owner currently serves in the military and wanted to give back on a day that has meaning to them.
3- Circumference of lighting information and questions asked to your wedding planner was not responded to or apparently shared with you. We are sorry you did not receive the desired info.
4- We do not, nor have ever allowed "self-guided tours". We do allow 3rd party vendor meetings at location for convenience. The caterer verified a scheduled meeting and your early arrival as you walked the property while you were waiting. Tours are one of our favorite parts of the wedding process. We love to discuss possibilities and vision.
5- We pay a subscription and automation service for an individual client portal directly through our web page via icloud. All wedding details, contract, and payment schedule is on the portal and can be viewed 24/7. There is no penalty for late payments as expressed via phone call and no problem that the payment would arrive late.
6- Clearly the information from the planner regarding the requested lights measurement, arch availability and other was not being received.
7- Because our staff participate in reviews that reflect their performance, we take issue with cleanliness complaints. We know the loyalty and efforts of our long standing housekeepers are consistent and thorough with cleaning and stocking. Past reviews include "exceptionally clean", "spotless", "very clean", "incredibly clean". The "hair rollers" are standard insulation strips you will see align with each side of the a/c & heating window unit when in use. Based on a property that has 2 kitchens, 9 beds and 8 baths, we did inform housekeeping that a tissue was found in an unused hallway drawer. Other "wear and tear" items will be addressed.
8- The beautifully appointed event barn was constructed in 2013 and is a modern build by Vermont standards. Dimmers, chandeliers, sconces along w/ multiple outlets allow for decor and convenience. Our Vermont business requires yearly inspection and claims of unsafe electrical have no validity. The property is leased as a private group and we do not have staff onsite for your intimate party. Extensive exterior lighting (6 exterior barn/ 5 exterior inn) including 3- 30 ft.overhead flood lights brighten the front landscape and walking paths. It sounds like the switch was not turned ON? We are handicap accessible for the barn AND the accommodations. Stairs are not required for entry to the spaces. We do have natural stone stairs without railings as well as constructed stairs with railings and a separate handicap ramp.
We invite couples to schedule a tour to see what The Inn at Grace Farm has to offer.

    Pandemic/Covid 19

I am truly heartbroken to have to write this review. My fiancé and I booked this venue in March of 2019 for our Summer 2020 wedding- at which time a deposit of half ($3200) was paid. Then, of course, COVID19 hit. Aimee (the owner) was very reassuring that we would be able to postpone our date if we needed to. Today before the rest of our total was due for our August 29th wedding we received extreme concern from our other vendors about the safety of moving forward with our wedding. As of now weddings in Vermont our discouraged by the State and not allowing gatherings larger than 10. We also have 90% of our guests coming from out of state.

Upon calling Aimee today we were informed we can only reschedule for a Friday or Sunday instead of the Saturday we originally had booked. This is not something that was ever mentioned previously. We were informed she is keeping Saturday's open for NEW bookings only in 2021. You can decide for yourself whether this was a fair compensation from a woman who has had $3,200 of our money without providing a single service. However, I found this completely appalling and what's worse is she will now not refund any of our money. Current paying customers, in my opinion, should take precedence over potential future customers.

I understand this is unprecedented times but believe me when I say this is my ONLY vendor that has not been accommodating.

Just beware before paying out your hard earned money to this venue because you are nothing more than a transaction.

The Inn at Grace Farm's reply:

I am so sorry your wedding vision has been disrupted. We have been working with all our couples and vendors who have need whether by government mandate, or just concern. No one needs a good reason to put 2020 behind.
As you know, our unique venue hosts one wedding per weekend so our couples can enjoy the entire estate with lodging. We would sincerely like to move all 2020 couples to new 2021 Saturdays. Our industry has been devastated by the results of Covid19 and our small business is no exception. We just can't block new revenue for next year and survive.
We are fortunate to be a year round venue and have Saturdays November - May in our heated barn. Additionally, we have prime summer and fall 2021 dates on a soft hold for couples that can share a weekend and still enjoy a 2 night estate stay. (Friday/Sunday). BEWARE This contract is written so she keeps all of your $$ No matter what

We entered into a contract with Grace Farm in March of 2019 for a wedding on August 29 2020. We paid $3200 down payment on the Barn Venue and the Inn on property. Our remaining balance was due 90 days prior to our wedding date and we decided because of Covid 19 and the information we gathered from the Vt health website ( weddings were being discouraged and officiants are asked to cancel their services. People from out of state have to quarrantine for 2 weeks when coming to VT fromn out of state and the couple getting married are the only residents of VT. All guest will be coming from out of state.) to postpone the wedding until next summer. At which time I was informed by the owner Aimee that they were only booking 2020 brides for next summer on Fridays or Sundays so she could keep future Saturday prime wedding dates for Future couples so they wouldn't lose $$. Her exact words were you can't expect me to take the loss when I can book Friday and Sunday weddings and still make Money for next summer.Yes we signed a contract but this is a global pandemic and every other vendor we had hired offered to rebook for our Saturday Weddding next summer or give us a 100% refund if they didn't have our date available and we signed contracts with them too, non refundable deposits etc.but they were understanding and amicable. Aimee was not. As part of her 12 page contact, she states IF she rebooks a comparable wedding $$ on the date we cancelled she would return all but $250 of our deposit. However she is now offering 1/2 price to future brides booking this summer so there is no way she will make the same $$ as any other cancelled wedding guaranteeing she won't have to return our $$. We also learned that all the other barn venues we contacted 6 others in Vt only charged $500. no refundable deposit no matter how far away your booking was. That I could have accepted losing $500 would have been fair in my opinion. Part of our downpayment was booking the Inn on property and she won't refund that either. Couples that are dissatisfied ahould contact the VT Attorney genral https://ago.vermont.gov/

The Inn at Grace Farm's reply:

I am so sorry your wedding vision has been disrupted. We have been working with all our couples and vendors who have need whether by government mandate, or just concern. (The quarantine status was in place 3 months prior to your date). However, no one needs a good reason to put 2020 behind.
