We used this hotel to accommodate our guests. Ultimately, we used two room blocks (10 rooms per block) and the staff could not have been more helpful.
We asked if we could hold our Rehearsal Dinner outside on the pool deck, a casual gathering of about 40 people. Simon Smith, the hotel manager, was extremely accommodating and provided tables for us to set up the ultimate pizza party. Unfortunately, we had gale force winds which would have blown the pepperoni back to Leland! Not to back down from a challenge, Simon moved the tables into the indoor pool area and the party went on as planned. We even invited other guests staying at the hotel to come in and join us! Every one of our guests commented on how lovely and clean the rooms were, how helpful the staff was, and how close we were located in proximity to the wedding. It was a terrific choice!

We booked a block of rooms here for our wedding guests and were very pleased with the service and rooms during our stay! The value was great for a holiday weekend and everyone enjoyed their time here. The process of booking a block of rooms was very easy and they were very accommodating considering it was a holiday weekend. A very positive experience and we hope to come back soon!

Rebecca and her staff helped to make our wedding all that we dreamed of and more. She provided exceptional service throughout the planning process. She promptly responded to all calls and emails and ensured that our questions were always answered in a timely and professional manner. As a result planning from 3,000 miles away was a little less stressful for us. The food and staff the day of our event were outstanding too. I think our guests are still talking about their delicious shrimp & grits and crab stuffed flounder. Thank you Rebecca, Justin and staff for helping to make our special day perfect!

We booked the "Barefoot Package" which included the ceremony at the Islander & semi-private dining room at the Isles a year in advance for our April 30th wedding. There were a few communication snags in the very beginning, but when it came to the real deal on 4/30/17, The Islander could not have been any more accommodating. The setup on the beach was BEAUTIFUL and they had a few rooms ready for early check-in so we had a place to hide out before the ceremony. Jamie, the coordinator at The Isles was nothing short of amazing. Very happy with our decision to book this package!

Everyone there was so nice and helpful. I booked rooms for all of my guests and they made sure to keep everyone as close as possible. Very accommodating.

This Islander courtyard was exactly what I pictured when I thought of my dream wedding. Beautiful green grass with a view of the ocean. The price was perfect and staff were very helpful. I didn't have to lift a finger on my wedding day as they set up EVERYTHING.
The only complaint I have is that when I tried to rent a floor for the tent reception, so my dress wouldn't get ruined in the mud, I was advised against it and was promised there would be a cement pad poured well before the wedding. I was very hesitant, but they were adamant that renting a floor was not necessary. I got there the night before my wedding and there was no cement pad. I felt that, because I made is so clear how important there being a floor was to me, they should have contacted me to let me know it wouldn't be there on time as promised. Zena did the best she could and got me a double dance floor, but it still didn't come close to covering even half of the ground and the bottom of my dress is ruined.

What you'll get when holding a wedding at the Islander Inn:
-Great value: Their ceremony packages include perks like two nights at the hotel, a $100 gift certificate to the Isles restaurant, champagne and chocolate.
-Beautiful location: The (public) beach outside the hotel was a stunning backdrop.
-Convenience: Having a hotel room 1500 feet away from the wedding site was amazing.

What you won't get:
-A lot of information from hotel staff: Hotel staff will direct you to the an off-site contact for any questions you might have. The contact was friendly and fairly responsive, but it makes it tough when issues arise. Also, there wasn't communication about where our ceremony would actually be held, which was confusing day-of.
-Guaranteed cleanliness of beach: Because it's a public beach, there may be trash in the sand/around your ceremony site. Looking at wedding pictures, I completely cringe because someone had stuck trash in the wooden fence that lines the steps to the beach... which made its way into the shots of me walking down the "aisle." I don't really think this is the venues fault, but it's something to be aware of.
