The Lake House at Bulow Reviews

If you’re looking for a unique, ethereal, intimate and comfortable venue, look no further. Owned by the Charleston County Parks the Lake House at Bulow was a dream venue. I would definitely recommend this spot for those who want to capture the essence of a romantic and intimate wedding without breaking the bank. As this is an actual house no vendors come with it but it allows you to cut out manadatory minimum costs vendors sometimes bundled into their prices when going with a typical venue. Jamie was our property manager and she was phenomenal. She answered all of our questions, ensured we had everything we needed to make our wedding spectacular. It was also awesome having the house for the wedding weekend to host our other events like our rehearsal dinner the night before. Prices depend on whether it’s high or low season.

Please do yourself a favor and rent this venue if you're in Charleston, SC! It's secluded, but easy to get to... free from the city lights, surrounded by nature, and just absolutely stunning. People were raving the entire time about how much they loved it, how much it fit our vibe, and it makes for the most amazing pictures. Not only that, but my Bridal Party stayed here and there was plenty of room and comfy beds :) We'll definitely be renting again for anniversaries!

This is the perfect venue for any wedding! We rented it from Wednesday to Monday and were able to stay out there and set up and take down before and after the wedding. It's beautiful and unlike anything I've ever seen in Charleston. When you're out of the lake house she feel like your way way far away from Charleston but in reality it's reality it's only a 15 minute drive from downtown.

This venue made our wedding! As soon as we saw this spot, we knew we had to get married there! The charleston county parks contacts were very helpful and were very responsive.

I could not have picked a better venue. Not only was the setting beautiful the customer service was amazing.

We had both our ceremony and reception here and we had so many people asking us how we found this hidden gem. Absolutely perfect!

The Lake House at Bulow was the perfect setting for our intimate and low-key wedding! We looked at a lot of venues, but this was the only location that we both absolutely loved. From the beautiful scenery to the gorgeous house, it was a perfect venue. We wanted something a bit different than your typical reception hall and the Lake House nailed it. The only downside is that the house is not large enough to move an entire wedding indoors if the weather does not cooperate. Thankfully we were able to rent tents and make the best of it.
