After Christmas Wedding
We had our wedding at the Langham in December. It was the most magical day of our lives. We worked with Tina who I could not recommend enough. She was a complete professional, responsive and extremely detail oriented. She was kind and helpful with every single question and request. We also booked our afterparty in Grana, which was amazing (do it, it's worth it.) We did not leave the hotel all day and I could not have been happier with that choice. The food was incredible, both at the after party and at the reception.

We had our ceremony in the hallway upstairs which had not been done before but Tina worked with us to make my vision come to life. They had a great lighting crew that we used for the ceremony as well.
I am from Boston and work in the service industry in town. On my wedding day what I valued most about choosing a venue was the level of service and attention to details especially lighting.
I chose this venue after a wonderful visit my mother and I had (she also had spent her life in catering) knowing it would be top tier service. We had a small hiccup on the day of and it was take care of with grace afterwords.
The room block was perfect and the rooms themselves were absolutely beautiful. I could not recommend the Langham's entire staff enough. I wish we could do it all again. We are already talking about throwing another party in 10 years! Back to the Langham we will go. Thank you so much to everyone that helped make our day so special. -

overall great, definitely some minor issues, but we loved it
PROs:
Wedding Venue: The venue is newly renovated (~$250 million renovation I believe) so it really does look super nice and clean. My now husband had visited the Langham prior to the renovation and he couldn't believe how much nicer the venue was. They've also maintained some of the historic parts of the venue such as the Wyeth room and Grana (both of which you can rent for an event). You get exclusive access to all of the rooms (with the exception of the Fed) on the day of your wedding. It is also a HUGE plus that you will be the ONLY wedding onsite that day. You get exclusive access to all of the rooms (with the exception of the Fed) on the day of your wedding. It is also a HUGE plus that you will be the ONLY wedding onsite that day. Although you won't have exclusive access to the Fed the entire day of your wedding, you will have access before it opens to the general public so if you choose to take photos there, you can (before 2 PM). Our coordinator, Tina, made sure of this. Additionally, the Fed is a very cool bar with really great drinks (even though they are expensive, but that is pretty much on par with any other bar in Boston). At the time of our wedding, it was ranked in the top 50 US hotel bars which was pretty neat. As far as other spaces go, you will have access to Grana, Wilson, Wyeth, the Promenade and Lincoln. Wilson ballroom is definitely the biggest space and so that is where we opted to have our reception. We fit about 85 guests (the majority of round tables were tables of 10) very comfortably. We probably could've fit around 2-3 more tables in the room as well. We also had our ceremony onsite in the Lincoln Ballroom. We debated between Lincoln and Wyeth, but ultimately settled on Lincoln as it had more of the aesthetic we were looking for - light and airy. While Wyeth is beautiful in its own way, it is very masculine and has two enormous paintings of Abraham Lincoln looking down on you while you get married (No thanks). Additionally, ALL rooms have tall ceilings which is something unique for a Boston venue and really opens up the space.
Cost: Honestly, for being a 5 star, 2 Michelin key hotel, I thought the minimum price was pretty reasonable, although I fully expect this to go up since our wedding. We were also able to negotiate a great deal as well. This hotel is right in the center of Boston so you would expect it to be a huge cost, but it was pretty on par with some venues just outside of Boston. They also were different from other venues where you could change your total number of guests up until 5 days before the wedding and wouldn't be charged if it changed. You could also always add more people between those 5 days but you could not take away. They also include some great perks like custom robes, discounts with some preferred vendors, chiavari chairs, a complimentary anniversary stay at the Langham, etc. Also, they have the brilliant langham points which you can collect for your wedding spend: 15 award points for every $5 eligible spend (wedding food/beverage before taxes/fees). Not a whole lot in the scheme of things, BUT, you can apply the points to a future hotel stay or transfer to their airline partners.
Food Tasting: We were allowed to bring up to 2 guests at no additional cost to our food tasting. This was a great option especially for two people with different food preferences and sometimes a little indecisive. The table was set with pretty much all of the items included in the package (silverware, plates, water glass, table numbers, basic linens, chiavari chair options in 3 colors) so you could get a sense of if you wanted to utilize what they provide our go with an event rental company. To be honest, what they had was decent and there was no need to rent anything unless you wanted to upgrade the dishes/linens. We were stuck between a few signature cocktails, so they offered to make them for us at the tasting. They were already on the table when we arrived so we got to see what those would look like and taste like - both were great. The servers who brought us our food for the tasting were wonderful - I believe one in particular his name was Frans and he was a delight. He was extremely personable, even walked me to the restroom when I wasn't sure where it was, and made sure our drinks were never empty and that we were enjoying the experience. For the canapes, they give you a huge list of food items, but you are only allowed to select 8 for the tasting. Each of us got to try all 8 canapes that we selected in advance. The appetizers and main dishes were brought out on smaller plates for us to eat but they also brought out samples of what the dishes would look like on the day of the wedding and placed those in the center for everyone to see. It took us a little bit to realize that that's what they were doing, but your guests will definitely be full if they select a true fish or meat option as they get a decent portion. They also surprised us with a little bride and groom treat when we left the tasting which was super nice as well. Tina, our coordinator, asked a lot of questions during the tasting and also allowed us to ask a lot of questions (I recommend bringing a notepad and writing down EVERYTHING). It gave us an opportunity to really think about what we wanted for the day or what we wanted to customize (and also keep track of what we discussed).
Wedding Day Food: Although the food at our food tasting was mediocre and we left feeling a little concerned about our venue choice, the food was shockingly even better the night of the wedding. It truly was amazing. ALL of our guests raved over the sushi we had during cocktail hour. They said it was phenomenal and they all kept rushing back for more. We also heard really positive feedback on our main entree selections (salmon and short rib). Although I didn't get to eat too much on the wedding day, I will say the short rib was SO SO SO much better the day of the wedding. We also had added a cannoli bar for dessert which consisted of salted caramel, ricotta, and espresso cannolis. Everyone also LOVED this too. I've attended a lot of weddings, and to be honest, the food is usually atrocious. I can confidently say the food was delicious which is a big PRO. This was something that other brides/grooms I had reached out to told me as well, and it really was true. When do guests go out of their way to say the food is delicious? Usually not, but I would say almost all of our guests said something to us about it. Also, please note that the Langham is also willing to personalize the menus as well so if there is something specific you want, please work with your coordinator because they will make it happen! Overall, our wedding day was a really lovely and memorable day as we got to marry each other. The venue looked beautiful and everything fit nicely into the event spaces. When we recessed to Wyeth they had our signature drinks waiting for us on a table along with a few canapes which was great.
Our coordinator, Tina: Tina was very nice and pleasant to speak with. She always seemed eager and happy whenever we communicated. When we were having concerns about filling our room block at the Langham due to the cost of the room, she helped guide us to another hotel nearby that could be in some of our guest's budget. She stayed late several weekday evenings to accommodate our work schedule so that we could come tour the facilities multiple times and gauge what we wanted for the day of (albeit, nothing ever goes right - even at a 5 star venue with 2 Michelin keys). I'm sure those late evenings were more stressful for her than for us. A few days before the wedding, she took a look at the table linens and decided they were no longer fitting for weddings so she called us and graciously offered for us to pick an upgraded table linen on the Langham to be used on our wedding day.
Rehearsal Dinner: We elected to have our rehearsal dinner at Grana - a beautiful restaurant inside of the Langham. Tina allowed us to come a weekend leading up to our wedding to see the setup in Grana of a smaller wedding so we could get an idea of how we would want to work with the space. This was extremely helpful as we are both very visual. The space really is beautiful and Tina also worked with us to customize our 3 course dinner menu. Although it wasn't on the menu, she helped us create a surf and turf main option and then also a family style dessert of 3 types of dessert. We really wanted Boston Cream Pie as a dessert and although it wasn't originally an option, Tina made it happen. The food was really great and everyone loved it. We also opted to pay for everyone's first drink at the rehearsal dinner and Tina made some really cute drink tickets for everyone that were put at their seats as a nice added touch.
Room/Block: Leading up until the wedding the staff were very communicative. Whenever I reached out to get a status update, they informed me immediately of what the current status was. Hyeon Ju Lee was on top of everything whenever I reached out to her. The concierge staff the weekend of the wedding were also all very friendly. They knew that we were getting married the following day and made us feel very welcome even though we were not able to check in early. The room reservation staff allowed us to book the bridal suite the night before at the same cost of our guests as well which was really really nice (although this was something we did negotiate). We also got Langham club access as a perk although we only got to enjoy it the morning after our wedding. Another plus- the room's have a pillow menu. My pregnant bridesmaid slept with me the night before and she was able to get a pregnancy pillow and I got a calming lavender pillow and we both loved it. All included in your stay. The first night we stayed at the hotel, the team brought up a celebratory bottle of champagne and a lovely pastry for us to share. So sweet and so unexpected. The bridal suite also included a mannequin to put your dress on which was nice for photos as well (just a struggle to get your dress on and to stay on). We also had our dog staying with us. At $100/night I thought it was a great deal. They had a dog food menu and they even pampered our pup by bringing her dog treats and toys! She loved the Langham tennis balls they gave her (and of course all of the treats). The night of our wedding, we opted to get our dog food from the dog menu and the team even brought it up to her and served it to her. Lastly, a nice perk was coming home the night of the wedding to rose petals on the bed and embroidered robes with our names (even if they weren't the correct names - see CON section).
CONs:
Venue: It took about 2 weeks for anyone in the Langham event's office to respond back to us for the initial venue tour - something that would be a general theme throughout the wedding planning process. We totally understand that we are not the only wedding going on, but sometimes decisions need to be made quickly or we had to follow up by phone or email to get a response multiple times. With other venues, although responses were not immediate, it would only take 2-3 days to hear back. We were eager to tour the Langham, so we waited. With other venues (just an example, Seaport Hotel), they made you feel extremely welcome from day 1. They took us to dinner at one of the hotel restaurants which was a nice perk and honestly made us consider them over Langham at one point. We felt from that experience that the Langham wouldn't be as attentive. I don't want to imply that the Langham needed to wine and dine us because oftentimes with these venues it was completely unexpected. I will say that Tina mentioned to us several times that she would host us at the Fed and that never happened. Totally fine and we don't expect it, but once you set an expectation with a couple, you should commit, otherwise it's a bit of a let down when you don't deliver. While the venue is beautiful, they charge for EVERYTHING. You want to get married onsite? $5000. (although we did negotiate the price). Also, they give the opportunity to rent some of the rooms, like the Fed, for an after party but they require it closes at 12. What's the point if your event ends at 11 pm? I understand that MA laws won't let you serve alcohol at the wedding for more than 4 hours, but it's now in a completely different space and completely different contract, so I don't understand why you can't use the spaces for longer if you pay them for it. They also do not share ALL of the food menu options available to you, they only share the Wedding Day menu. There are other catering menus that you can add for your wedding which include action or carving stations such as the sushi we decided to add. We had to ask if they do anything like that to even see such a menu. Also, while it's great that we have the chiavari chairs included, the Langam DOES NOT include it for the reception AND the ceremony even if you are getting married onsite. They have old conference chairs that don't match every room that they give you for the ceremony, otherwise they require you to rent with a rental company like PEAK for the ceremony. When we inquired about using the same chairs since our wedding ceremony was ALSO at the Langham, they refused.
Cost: While generally reasonable, it all adds up quickly! They charge for EVERYTHING and ANYTHING. Welcome bags? That will be $5. Room rental fee? $5000. I don't think this is unique to the Langham, but considering how much money couples spend, I do think they get a little ridiculous with some of their charges when the service is truly no different than any other event they host. They'll argue it is - it's not. At our tasting, I brought up cannolis on the dance floor to Tina - a trend we were seeing online that looked fun at wedding receptions. Tina immediately knew what I was talking about and even shared how fun she thought it was. We told her we had reached out to a vendor but she said they could look into doing it and get back to me. I had to follow up with her at which time they quoted us $8000 for 50 cannolis on the dance floor. WHAT?! This is an experience they had never done before and for context, the actual vendor who specialized in this experience was $700 plus travel fees. Additionally, and more disturbing, almost a month after our wedding, we received a random charge on our credit card from the Langham for $5300. When we inquired about it, the Langham informed us that they made an error on the final bill and noticed it a month later. Instead of contacting us first to inform us of the error, they just went ahead and charged our credit card with no notice. We get it, Langham made an error and wanted to get paid....but to just go ahead and charge a client's card a month later because you noticed the error is unacceptable and should've been a wash on their end.
Food Tasting: Normally, the food tasting would be held in the event space that you are using for your reception so you can get a sense of what the tablescape will look like day of and get a feel of what your guests will experience. Not in our case. We had our food tasting in Wyeth (which we didn't use for our ceremony or our reception). While Wyeth is a lovely room, the Langham team elected to put us in Wyeth and a Sweet 16 food tasting in Wilson (the room we had our wedding reception in). I thought that we pay so much more money for weddings at the Langham than traditional events like a sweet 16 because the level of service is different? Apparently not for us. We felt like we played second fiddle and were tucked away. For the tasting, they do not allow you to try all of the food. To be honest, that was a BIG disappointment. We get it, there's so much food on the Langham Wedding Menu to choose from, but we don't get a full meal at the tasting (it's more like tapas). We feel like it's helpful to get a feel of what ALL of the items (canapes, appetizers, and mains) taste like so you can make fully informed decisions. Especially since you only get to come for the food tasting once. Not only that, the food we did try was COLD even though we had a lot of hot canape options. I do want to point out that I did mention above in the PRO section that the food was 10 x better the day of the wedding, so maybe take the food tasting with a grain of salt. I remember saying to Tina that I thought the short rib was not good but because we weren't allowed to try other main dishes, we settled for that. Tina, our coordinator, asked us a lot of questions at the food tasting and although we watched her write them down, we again had to follow up several times for an answer. This was very frustrating considering the money we paid.
Room/Block: I do want to start off by saying the staff was very nice, however, they refused to negotiate anything. I had reached out to a prior Langham bride who had told me that they were able to negotiate the price of their room block so they could also maximize their guest count and their guests could enjoy the Langham experience - something we also wanted. For context, our wedding was on a Sunday the last weekend of October which is essentially off peak at that point. We totally understand that the Langham is running a business and needs to make money, but considering everything we were already paying to the Langham for our wedding, we were hoping they would be amenable to our guest rate. Because of the cost, a lot of our guests opted to either not attend or not stay at the Langham because the prices were so high. Additionally, we were told that we would likely be able to upgrade our room the day we check in - that did not happen. As far as our guest experiences at the hotel, they all kind of said the same thing: not a 5 star experience nor a 2 Michelin key experience. They placed the father of the bride in a small room facing another building, they didn't have the bride's grandmother's room available at all by the time they said they would (she had to get ready in another room in order to be on time for the rehearsal), and a lot of guests said that the bathrooms were super tiny and the amenities were mediocre. We also provided wedding welcome bags that we dropped off for the weekend. Our guests never received them upon arrival. Instead they were delivered to the guest's rooms hours after check in. This was not something we discussed and also was extremely disappointing as we had expectations that our guests would receive the bags upon arrival. Additionally, the room reservations specialists created a room block link for us to add to our wedding website. The link crashed several times where our guests were not able to book or were told booking had closed. I will say the specialists were able to fix the issue, but again, not a 5 star experience. Lastly, this is something that we can laugh at, but again, not really 5 star service. As part of the wedding package, they gifted us embroidered bathrobes. When we got back to our room following our wedding, there were embroidered bathrobes on our bed. We were very excited, but they were embroidered with the names 'Nick & Laura'. Neither of our names are Nick or Laura. Again, something that we laughed at and was fixed the following morning, but again not 5 stars with details. We also were given Langham club access but barely got to use it which was disappointing - to be fair we had a lot going on though.
Our coordinator, Tina: While she was very friendly, she was extremely difficult to get a hold of and nail down timelines and decisions. We would have to either send multiple follow ups or reach out to her cell to get responses. I felt that I essentially planned the entire wedding myself (including the timeline on timeline genius) and wasn't really sure what her role was. We asked multiple times if we should get a day of coordinator and she said no. PLEASE GET A DAY OF COORDINATOR. I barely saw her the day of and we ultimately were 30 minutes behind. Although we weren't 30 minutes behind due to her, she still should've been checking in to ensure we were on track. I saw her once in the late morning and then once prior to the ceremony. I also had to call her multiple times the day of because PEAK events were looking for her so they could put items in the correct location. I fully expected her to keep us on time throughout the day - that didn't happen. I was even more upset with how rude she was to my grandmother and my husband's mother. I understand we are on a schedule but they were supposedly yelled at for going to the bathroom prior to the ceremony. I wasn't there so I can't confirm, but I am going off of what we were told. I also shared with her a curated wedding day schedule prior to her sharing timeline genius with me that included pictures of the entire wedding party including family. It also had everyone's phone numbers as well. The fact that she told us we did not need a day of planner, our expectations were that she would've been on the ball timeline wise and would make sure to contact everyone if they were not where they were supposed to be. She did not. I do think for anyone looking at a day of planner, invest in one. I don't think the coordinator's at the Langham are in it for you - they are in it for the Langham. As far as timeline genius goes, I appreciate her setting it up, but I did ALL of the work for it. We spoke with her once leading up to the wedding around the timelines and I had to keep reminding her that I was adding things to the timeline. To be honest, I understand no wedding is perfect, but the amount of detail I gave, I feel like she should've been on the ball.
Wedding Day: For the ceremony, although all the rooms are beautiful, if you do have a ceremony in Lincoln, please be mindful that there are mirrors everywhere. This might make it difficult for your photographer to not get in the photos. We opted to rent draping through PEAK as our photographer had recommended it when she saw the venue, but not sure this would be clear to a bride/groom choosing that room as a ceremony option. Leading up to the wedding day there was also a lot of back and forth and miscommunication between staff. For example, a staff member emailed us and told us we could not use the Fed, but then Tina told us we could. We ultimately were able to, but as a bride/groom getting married, miscommunication the week of your wedding is the last thing you want to deal with. When we recessed after our wedding to Wyeth, they did have our signature drinks and some canapes for us. We were however disappointed that they did not think to also bring us sushi as the guests also had that available to them. Something we paid for and we never got to try. We were also supposed to have alone time for 20 minutes after the wedding which we did not get either. We kind of expected that Tina would be on top of this. We also were supposed to join cocktail hour which we never got to do - again not in line with the timeline. They also asked us what cake flavor we wanted from our wedding cake on the wedding day. We each told them strawberries and cream....they brought us both the chocolate tuxedo instead. Not a big deal, but again, not detail oriented if you haven't gotten that by now.
Rehearsal Dinner: Overall lovely experience. The only two things we would say was a CON was that we had discussed with Tina having the staff ask our 30 guests how they would like their steak cooked for the surf & turf option. That never happened. I do think if Tina was there it would've definitely happened. There was another wedding happening that night that she was coordinating for which we totally understood, but the woman who helped us with the rehearsal had not a clue what was going on and wasn't very directional. -

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff
I could not have dreamed of a better venue for our wedding than the Langham Hotel. Fabrina Guzman is so kind, professional, and truly a pleasure to work with. Her attention to detail and thoughtfulness is unmatched! The service at our reception was truly 5 star quality. My husband and I were so impressed with the food and beverage service that we are still talking about it weeks later! Many of our guests shared this with us as well. To top it off, the room where we stayed was beautiful and the staff even left a few surprises in our room which really made us feel special. We are so thrilled that we chose the Langham Hotel for our wedding and we can’t wait for many more stays with this exceptional group! The Langham, Boston's reply:

Samantha Rivera and the Langham Hotel was an exceptional choice in planning our wedding! Samantha was conscientious, attentive, fun and a pleasure to work with. Our guests were so happy with the hotel, the venue, and the night was truly magical. I can't think of a single thing that didn't go according to plan, and I attribute that to Samantha's calm demeanor and attention to detail. My husband and I had numerous personalizations for our wedding, and Samantha accommodated each of them. We enjoyed all aspects of planning -- from the delicious tasting (just as delicious the night of!), to planning details of the ceremony in Cafe Fleury, the cocktail hour in Wyeth, and the reception. My husband and I are truly grateful to the Langham and Samantha for our wonderful wedding celebration. I would recommend this venue highly. We looked across Boston for a wedding venue (as being in the city was important to us) -- we absolutely loved the rooms available to us (more modern Cafe Fleury with gorgeous skylight, and the traditional and gorgeous Wyeth room for the cocktail hour). -

We recently had my daughters wedding At the Langham. The setting is beautiful and the Wyeth Room is a gorgeous setting for the cocktail hour. However, at the reception, it seems that someone dropped the ball. For first course the soup took about 20 to 25 minutes to be served. When I asked about the delay, I was told that it was due to the guests changing their orders. I was not sure of the purpose of having us get in the food orders and where guests would be sitting if they retook the orders. Most people did not remember what they had ordered three months ago, including myself. The entree was served quickly after. Soon after the entree was cleared, coffee and cake was served in stations in the corners of the dance area. We were not informed, so we could not if let the guests know dessert was served. The Langham is a beautiful hotel, but for this particular event we did not get our money's worth. -

After looking at over a dozen options for wedding venues in the Boston area, we finally decided on the Langham Hotel as our location, and we could not be happier with the decision! The value was by far the best of all the places we looked at (we checked out both hotels and "alternative" venue options). We originally signed our contract with Nicola, but she ended up leaving the hotel and we were transitioned to Kara. The change was easy and Kara already had all the information we had discussed with Nicola. She was able to offer us a lot of direction so that everything ran the way we wanted it to on the day of. The space was fantastic, the food was delicious, and people are still raving about the whole event more than 6 months later! -

My husband and I were recently married and the reception was held at the Langham in Boston. We decided on the Langham after researching many locations in the City of Boston, and it proved to be a terrific choice as it was truly a memorable experience!

Now for the wedding. When so much time and effort goes into planning such an event, you can only hope that when the day comes everything goes according to plan. The wedding ran as well as we could have ever hoped! It started with the cocktail hour where the atmosphere was perfect and service was, again, exceptional. We moved into the main dining area where the room was beautifully arranged. The timing of everything was like clockwork – everything moved along very smoothly and nobody ever felt rushed at any time. The food was perfectly prepared and served; and it was delicious.
The entire staff was so helpful and made the day better than I could have ever dreamed of. My husband and I would highly recommend holding your wedding reception at The Langham, Boston! -

Although everyone on the staff was terrific, we really appreciated the efforts of Kara Townley in making this day so enjoyable for us. From the first time we met her, her demeanor and attention to even the most minor detail made us feel very confident that the event was in good hands… and it most certainly was. Her entire focus was on making this as wonderful a day as it turned out to be.

This review is based on our wedding at the langham Boston. We began looking for venues immediately after getting engaged and were over the moon when we met Meghan. We loved the Esplanade room and we loved Meghan. She was helpful and committed to making the experience easy and fun. Almost immediately after we signed the contract Meghan left the langham and we were assigned Nicola . We found her very difficult to work with; never available for meetings , would not return phone calls within a reasonable time frame. She wanted to have things her way, during our tasting she was rude and unprofessional. Speaking over me and my guests and setting the flow of the days events as she wanted them and not as we were suggesting. As she was escorting us through the hotel it was hard to miss all of the construction that was happening. I became upset because plans for construction were never disclosed to any of us. I was worried that the construction would ot be finished in time for the wedding. They assured me that it would . The construction was never done in time for our wedding. there are over a dozen hotels in boston and we would of preferred to hold our reception at one not undergoing such extensive reconstruction. It was at this time Nicola said that we were giving her a headache.
We involved an another manager Rebecca B.. I never met her until the week of the wedding but according to my parents and fiancé she was more approachable and professional than Nicola . I was happy to have another person overseeing the event.
Two weeks before our wedding Nicola emailed to say she was leaving the langham hotel and our new point of contact was Kara T. This hotel has a very high turnover of wedding coordinators and it is obvious to me now.
Kara is extremely ingenuine and insincere. She is also new to the langham. She was only there 3-4 months when she was appointed MANAGER of catering. Our wedding was the second or third wedding she was heading by herself.
Kara and Rebecca mis wrote our time of arrival. (on purpose in our opinion) We confirmed our time of arrival to the hotel a 3pm the day of the wedding both verbally at the final wrap up meeting and in two emails to Kara and Rebecca but when we arrived to the hotel hungry and thirsty Kara told me that she wouldnt have our cocktail room ready until 5 or 530pm. She was unapologetic and perturbed that we were even there. No one in my bridal party could get water from the hotel because of Kara and Rebeccas purposeful lack of attention, not even my diabetic grandmother. Instead everyone had to go to the cvs on e corner in suits and bridesmaids dresses to get bottled water.
Kara T and Rebecca B were told of a dress change by me , the bride, as a surprise to my husband to be. I asked them twice including the day of to please keep it under wraps as it was obviously a surprise. While waiting to enter the reception space for the first time as husband and wife Rebecca and Kara blurted out that my second dress was in our room Not once but twice. Thanks ladies.
Our wedding was the most special and magical day of our lives. It was the family and friends that made that day incredible. The food was good but the portions were smaller than what we were served at the tasting. Their wait staff was attentive and courteous. Everything was perfect except for these black clouds, Nicola D. Rebecca B. and Kara T.. Unprofessional, inexperienced, unorganized , distasteful and shameless. -

Nicola and her staff were the most professional we had encountered on our search for a venue last February and we went to 8 of them! The Langham was perfect. It was elegantly appointed without being overdone. They only have one wedding at a time and gave utmost attention to detail. If you want to enjoy white glove service during your wedding I -

The Langham Hotel is a beautiful venue. We had our ceremony at a nearby church and then the cocktail hour and reception at the hotel. We had provided guests with vouchers for the breakfast buffet on Sunday morning which was also wonderful. The weekend couldn't have gone any smoother and I was so pleased with the location.
There were a couple of annoyances during the planning process with things like the prcie of the blocked rooms, the cost of parking, the per head minimums required to block of space at bond (yes, $60pp to reserve an area after a 5 hour reception at the hotel), etc. Everything worked out, but it often took a few phonecalls. The only other comment is that there is not one point of contact. We worked closely with the coordinator but had to speak with different areas of the hotel for things like the room block or arranging anything at Bond. Feels like the admin fee should mean we work with one person that takes care of it all. Nothing significant, just things that would make the planning easier.
Overall, I would highly recommend the Langham as a reception venue and am thrilled with the way our party turned out. -

We had a small 50-60 person wedding in the Wyeth Room at the Langham Hotel and it could not have been more perfect. The service and professionalism of the Langham staff are unrivaled. We had a Sunday jazz brunch, and the food was spectacular (which made our guests happy!). The room is stunning (very old world Boston), and the after party at Bond was the perfect way to end the day. The brunch is very reasonably priced for what you get, and compared with similar venues (specifically, the Boston Public Library), the Langham is the obvious choice.

When searching for a place for our wedding, we wanted a downtown Boston location where we could have both the ceremony and reception and where there would be a sense of classic elegance. My one regret was that I was not clear which items from the ceremony and reception were to be returned to me afterwards. We had several baskets we used for programs, etc which we never got back. Also, the cleaning staff cleaned our room during the reception (I got ready in the suite and then we were staying in the same room that night) and threw out the garment bag to my dress. Not a disaster, but I wished those things were not thrown out. Nicola has offered to reimburse me for the bag. So, my advice would be to be clear if there are items you do want returned to you. Luckily, we had no problems with our toasting glasses, cake knife, etc. -

We worked with Nicola and our entire experience at the Langham was amazing. Our friends had previously had a wedding there and the food was quite memorable. The tasting menu is a lot of fun. Our favorite was the lobster bisque. Everyone at the Langham was very professional and organized.
