    When I began discussing photography with my then-fiance for our wedding, the one thing that he insisted upon was "no cheesy" or "staged" shots. We wanted timeless photographs that captured the natural emotions of the day, which our eventual children and grandchildren could look back on. David and Carlo delivered exactly what we had been looking for. They shot our wedding at a vineyard in Connecticut. They were great the day of, listening to our requests, scouting out the ideal spots within the vineyard, and for the few family portraits we did want, giving excellent and helpful direction. What really matters is the photographs though and they were absolutely gorgeous. They perfectly captured the beauty and happiness of the day. Though I am admittedly bias, I think my wedding photos are some of the best I have ever seen and I have David and Carlo's passion and care to thank for that.

    We've met with several photographers but there was something special about David Lindner. As we flipped through his albums and admired all of his work we knew that this was exactly the type of photos we wanted, timeless. Other photographers would sell us on how they're using the latest technology, creating digital albums, usb drives filled with thousands of pictures, mugs, t shirts, etc. But we didn't want a bunch of generic pictures with family and friends jumping up in the air or photoshopped. That's what our family, friends and shutterfly were for. We wanted, even expected, our pictures to tell our story and share our emotions that only David Lindner could do. David would tell us in details about the photos he has taken, what he was looking for and you can see and feel his passion and excitement. He genuinely enjoys his work and it shows.

    In ten even twenty years when we open our albums to look through the photos I know the first and last word will be wow.

    The hardest part of the entire process was narrowing down the amount of photos to use, because they were too many amazing shots. David, I look forward working with you again in the near future.

    We couldn't have been more pleased with the Lindner studio. From our engagement album to coverage of our wedding day - David and his team were unobtrusive and exceptionally polite and fun to work with. David’s relaxed approach made taking photos easy. Because he’s a 4th generation photographer, that’s been in business for nearly 40 years, we knew he had the expertise we wanted. We were able to relax because we knew he would do the job right, and his passion for photography is evident. He delivered excellent photos, we loved the online viewing & ordering, and our photos were delivered on time. The whole experience was seamless. We Highly recommend David and The Lindner Studio for photo coverage of ANY special event or occasion. What stands out most is you can tell he loves his job! We now consider David OUR family photographer for all special occasions.

    Dave photographed my wedding and I’m thrilled with the results. He makes beautiful pictures. They are effortless, natural and filled with great light. His staff is easy to work with. I’m looking forward to seeing the custom made album.

    It was a pleasure to deal with such a pleasant and talented staff when choosing the pictures for the album. They had insightful ideas and a way of putting together a memory of a life time. They took some awesome photos of the wedding and fun candid shots as well. I highly recommend this photographer and his special staff of people who know what they are doing and do it well !

    Amazing! Lindner Studios could not have made our day more special. The photographers made everyone feel so comfortable and results can be seen in the photos. Our wedding photo for the Times was also done by this studio. Superb! Our wedding was outside the city in Westchester and several people from the wedding party arrived late. The photographers took it all in stride and shot extra photos until everyone arrived. The photos were made available very soon after our wedding day and the staff was very helpful while we selected our favorites. We have already recommended this fine studio to several of our friends. Five stars*****

    We had an amazing wedding in September at the Palm House in Brooklyn Botanic Garden. Ceremony was outside in the garden, and the reception was inside of the Palm House. It was definitely the best day of our lives. Sunny and beautiful, with so many smiling people! We were so happy. And The Lindner Studio captured all the unforgettable moments, including never missed emotional moments.Their photos are very real, warm, and also artistic. On top of that, they know the Palm House inside out, perfect spots with natural lighting. We highly recommend this vendor for your unforgettable day.

    Wow! I'm pretty shocked by the "Disaster" guy. What a gripe! I myself had nothing but success with The Lindner Studio and so have the people I have referred to them. David gave his all for us at our wedding. He has a way of making you feel (and look) like your best self. The people at his studio took good care of us too. They are professional and very very nice. They not only fulfilled the contract (which they completely did), they gave us a great experience and a great album.

    I'm surprised to see a bad review for the Lindner Studio. It rained on our wedding day and I was almost an hour late for the photos, but David Lindner and our second photographer, Carlo, were on time and totally prepared by the time I got there. They were professional, funny, totally flexible (we ran out of time taking group photos before the ceremony but they made sure to continue our session afterwards so that all of our friends and relatives were covered), and most importantly took AMAZING photos. We got proofs almost right away and now have a gorgeous album. I was totally satisfied from start to finish -- so much so that I was prompted to write this review, which I never do!

    My entire experience with the David Lindner studio has been amazing. They wanted to make my wedding a night to remember - and it was a great success! Throughout my engagement I was provided with advice on not only photographey - but other wendor choices as well and felt that I was given personal attention the entire time. The day of was like a dream. No one even felt the photographer/assistant was even there so as not to disturb the ceremony/party - yet they were able to capture the evening perfectly. I would highly recommend their services. Yes - it can be a little spendy - but you absolutely get your moneys worth. Beautiful pictures and album - and a wonderful experience all together.

    The Linder Studio was highly professional in every way, from our first meeting to the day we recieved our wedding album. The several hundred photos taken were beautiful. When I questioned one of the locations for outdoor wedding portraits, we ended up doing it their way and they were right. Those outdoor photos were beautiful, without shadows. The photographer dealing with my 4 young grandkids was not easy, and all those photos came out great too. The final digitally-produced wedding album is very beautiful. Several of people that I showed the album to said that it was the most beautiful wedding album they'd ever seen.

    This photographer was incredibly professional and the photos were magnificent. They are expensive, but you will be happy with the quality you receive.

    Threw out our wedding photos!

    David disposed of the negatives and prints from our wedding without any prior attempt to contact us, despite a written agreement explicitly requiring that the negatives be returned. Our contact information remained unchanged and was publicly available. We had fully settled our account, paying him approximately $6,000. Fortunately, we had retained the proofs; otherwise, we would have been left with no photos of our wedding. His apology was cursory, and he offered no assistance to remedy the situation. This experience was profoundly disappointing.

    The photos themselves were fine, but David's lack of flexibility during the planning stages added unnecessary stress to our preparations. We should have seen that as a warning. I cannot in good conscience recommend his services.

    Complete disaster!!
    Our only vendor that was a complete disappointment. The photographer was being outright rude to his assistant who was helping him, to the point where some of our guests mentioned it to us later on... it became a joke later but many people felt awkward to witness the assistant being mistreated.
    This studio is expensive and although the pictures were good, we couldn't justify the price to quality. But our biggest issue was that after the wedding, the studio refused to give us our pictures saying that the pictures will not be released until 6 months after the album is delivered to us. The album itself takes about 6 months to make... In other words, they were telling us that the pictures would not be given to us until 14-16 months after the wedding! That is despite agreeing to pay the entire amount owed up front, if needed, to expedite the delivery of photos. The studio was entirely inflexible and never once made any attempt to accommodate our requests. There were several expensive hidden costs for simple photo retouches & album choices/pages. And after having paid several thousand $ for the photographer, we never got our pictures to show our guests and we're still waiting.

    Always read the small print when if you still choose to work with this company. We have given up now because it's so long after the wedding already and we haven't been able to show anyone a single photo that the photographer took. We've merely cobbled together photos from friends & family.

    The Lindner Studio's reply:

    This person was a client who wanted to get what he wanted even though it was not in his contract. He threatened to post a bad review if he didn’t get it, and then he did. Any intelligent person reading his review will easily discern his distortions, the extremity of them, and his intent to smear us without regard for the truth.

    The couple claims that they never received their pictures. Actually, they received their pictures within four weeks of their wedding, and we even created a wedding album layout for them within another three weeks. They refused to let us go ahead until they got what they wanted, and so deliberately forced the delay themselves.

    We have been in business in New York City for thirty years with a very fine reputation and very few complaints over that time – precisely because, in addition to doing quality photography, we treat all of our clients with respect, fairness, and yes, generosity.
