We just got married at The Lodge @ Woodlawn Beach State Park and I can’t recommend it enough! Great location, beautiful inside area and bridal suite, outside woodsy area and beautiful beach with trellis. There was plenty of parking for guests and transportation to and from the ceremony to the lodge. The beach had a gorgeous view of the water for our ceremony. There was even some driftwood and a scenic spot right by the ceremony site to take pictures after. Truly my dream venue and I’m in love with it! Our wedding coordinator, Heather, was amazing and was so helpful the entire way through! She answered all my questions, came up with a timeline, worked our wedding the day of and even provided extra beach décor for our buffet and orderves tables. She truly made our special day a memorable exceperience. They also work with a lot of great vendors and provided us with a list early on. Ilio DiPaolo's caters the reception which was devine. We chose the Italian buffet which was amazing! I picked the top shelf liquor package package and it did not disappoint. Leanne the ceremony coordinator was fabulous as well. She made our rehearsal run smooth and answered any questions we had to put our minds at ease the night before the wedding. Our server Nick was wonderful and efficient. Our bartender Tyler kept the drinks flowing all night long, conversing with guests, and making sure I had a drink at all times with a smile on his face. I absolutely loved that they packed up all of our stuff in our totes after the wedding was over and we were allowed to come pick up our things the next day and it didn't have to be super early which was fabulous! A big thank you to all involved for making our wedding day so magical!!

was part of a wedding there just recently, staff was very accommodating and easy to work with despite all the restrictions they made the day go smoothly. The venue was beautiful and the food was delicious! Could not have gone better !

We had our wedding ceremony inside the Lodge and it was perfect! The set up was in front of the big nature mural with a decorated trellis and it looked awesome. It was also fairly cheap to do it inside the Lodge! We took pictures outside of the lodge in the courtyard after and along the boardwalk which turned out beautiful. Working with Sherri, their event coordinator was pretty smooth. She responded back to my phone calls within a few days and was great to work with. I've been hearing around that she hasn't been very responsive and isn't very cooperative but I never had those problems with her. Overall, we are very very happy we decided to have our ceremony inside the Lodge!

Well, I booked the lodge at woodlawn beach to have my wedding inside the lodge not on the beach. It was very easy to view the lodge and book the lodge. However, the staff was very difficult to work with. They are very unresponsive. It was almost to the point where I had to pitch a fit in order to get basic questions answered. All in all it worked out and my day turned out perfect but I wish it was just a bit easier to work with this vendor.

Was a beautiful spot for our wedding and reception. Staff was iffy at first when he checked it out but they had some problems and hired new people that were very helpful and responsive. They made every detail beautiful and set up all my beach themed decriations the day before. The food from ilio dipalos was amazing. The only downfall we had was the air conditioning broke and it was hot. But i would definitely recommend this venue to anyone that is having a beach themed! Holds up to 120 if you want a decent size dance floor

Woodlawn Beach was beautiful for our wedding rain stopped just in time and it was perfect temperature, background was amazing. I think that’s the only thing I can say anything good about. Let me just start of by saying if you plan to have a wedding ceremony or the entire wedding there be warned communication is absolutely terrible. From day one, Sherri was late to meeting us and I should have known then it was going to be a downhill spiral from there. Sherri was nearly impossible to get in touch with. It didn’t surprise me that I found out 2 months prior to my wedding from a Facebook post that Sherri left and was replaced by someone named Samone. I found it quite rude that no one reached out to not only me but to everyone who was just as shocked as I was to find out she was no longer there. With this pretty much a seasonal venue they really need someone full time to fully dedicate their time to upcoming brides or anyone in that matter for any event held there. The only good thing I have to say about Sherri was that she helped us fill our large gap between ceremony and reception by asking the bride who was having a ceremony the same day as us to move it up an hour so we could move ours up an hour. It worked in our favor. I was extremely grateful that she helped us there and also grateful the other bride to move her time up. Samone was still the same way on communication, it lacked terribly. I even went and emailed the town, a handful of people, and not a single one got back to me. There was supposed to be a gator to help people get to their seat if they had trouble walking and Samone showed up late with it. My grandparents had to walk down the road and hill before my maid of honor called to complain where it was. The ceremony turned out good but Town of Hamburg needs to find someone full time for the seasonal job there. Town of Hamburg needs better communication also. I would recommend Woodlawn for a beach wedding, just wouldn’t recommend who you have to deal with.
