    Review of The Lodge

Our experience at the Lodge of the Four Seasons in the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, was truly amazing. We were looking for a venue that would truly give our guests a chance to take in the beauty of the Lake of the Ozarks. The Lodge did just this – it overlooks the lake, boasting beautiful gardens and grounds with expansive views of the lake at every corner.

The Lodge's versatility was a significant draw for us. We were able to host various elements of our celebration in different spaces within the venue. The Rooftop provided the perfect setting for our welcome party, offering panoramic views of the lake. Our outdoor ceremony on the Lake Lawn was perfect, with the natural beauty of the Ozarks as the backdrop to our vows. The Atrium, with its greenery and waterfall, created an beautiful cocktail hour, while the Granada Ballroom was a sophisticated choice for our reception. We capped it all off with an after-party at HKs restaurant and a brunch at Breezes the following morning. The food was incredible and our guests have not stopped talking about it. Everything on the menu surpassed our expectations. Chef Gary did a tremendous job with our wedding.

Furthermore, our friends and family thoroughly enjoyed their time relaxing by the pool and taking advantage of the Lodge’s lake services, including boat rentals. There was something for everyone to enjoy throughout the weekend, and the convenient proximity to stores, restaurants, and The Strip allowed guests to explore the area at their leisure.

Now, we need to shine a spotlight on Rob, our wedding venue coordinator, who was an absolute gem throughout our journey. Rob's passion for his work was undeniable, and his dedication to crafting the perfect wedding experience was evident in every detail he handled. From our first meeting during the venue tour, his infectious enthusiasm and positive energy left an indelible mark on our hearts. Right when we met Rob, we knew our wedding planning was in good hands and that we made the right decision to have our wedding at the Lodge.

When we arrived for our tasting a few months before the wedding day, we admittedly were very anxious and nervous. However, Rob calmed our nerves immediately with his calming presence and his level of preparation. He took the time to introduce us to the Chef, the events manager, and everyone else who would be playing a role in our special day.

Rob's organizational skills were truly impressive. He maintained meticulous timelines and deadlines, ensuring that we never felt overwhelmed or stressed during the planning process. His attention to detail assured us that everything was in capable hands, providing us with invaluable peace of mind. He was also open-minded, flexible, and always willing to work with us. We were truly impressed with the minor details he remembered and his ability to execute all of our plans. He didn't just execute our ideas; he worked alongside us every step of the way to bring our vision to life. His creative input and wealth of expertise added unique and personalized touches to our wedding, making it truly one-of-a-kind.

Overall, the Lodge of the Four Seasons and Rob, our wedding venue coordinator, were the dream team that turned our wedding dreams into a breathtaking reality. The Lodge and Rob made our wedding day a magical story we'll cherish forever. Thank you for creating memories that will last a lifetime! We can’t wait to come back!

The lodge was a lovely venue for both our wedding ceremony and reception. The catering and grounds staff were helpful and efficient. Chelsea, the venue's event organizer, was especially wonderful to work with. Her time and attention were invaluable to the success of a wedding that was planned long distance. Her support was one of the key reasons our day went so smoothly.

The Lodge of Four Seasons perfectly accommodated everything we were looking for, for our New Year’s Eve wedding. After undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation, the grounds and rooms were beautiful, the food was super tasty, the alcohol kept flowing, and our photos looked stunning. The staff was immeasurably helpful and Darlene made sure the customer service stellar. We used the Lodge for our reception in the Seachase and the food was perfect in every detail. We had the surf and turf bridal package and the lobster tail melted in your mouth and the dipping butter was perfectly heated (which couldn’t have been easy to do for all of our guests but the catering did it!!). We also brought in fireworks for midnight and the staff at the Lodge coordinated with our vender so that everything was set up for perfect viewing. The staff was great at delivering our welcome bags to each guest upon check in, and handling any room issues that occurred. Darlene and Craig personally made sure that the room was set up, removing curtains and fan blades, having the windows cleaned inside and out, removing almost all signs of an ongoing renovation, and following up several times through the evening to make sure every possible detail was attended too. The staff was all so helpful and provided us any help we needed. Even the little details like providing a coat rack to the room, bringing our presents to our room during the reception, bringing out the party hats at 11, or providing our later snack of pizza (you get the idea, we had little details constantly) the Lodge accommodated every request and everything was carried out flawlessly. We loved the Lodge and recommend it to anyone for their event!

We could have not been more pleased with our ceremony and reception at Lodge of the Four Seasons. Brittney let us hold the ceremony outside even though the temperature was supposed to be above 90. That alone gets 5 stars because I really wanted an outdoor wedding!

Everyone raved about the flowers, cake, DJ, even the briefness of the ceremony (it was hot) .. all vendors Brittney recommended. :) I remember when she said she personally researched her preferred vendors and it was evident. They were really amazing. My pictures are lovely – the gorgeous grounds at the resort may have played a part too!

The food was incredible, Lori the head server helped make sure everything ran on time. The buffet was stocked for a full hour and 30 minutes. The bartender kept the line down, although I would have liked a larger selection of sodas for the kiddos! I did have an issue with the banquet director, however. Two times I walked in to decorate and he was screaming at Brittney. Not sure why and I didn’t ask, but it was highly unprofessional. I cannot go without mentioning Donovan… such a good listener!

The word “aptitude” comes to mind when I think of Brittney and her team. She is at times hard to reach on the phone but she will email at all hours of the day, and once you meet in person, expect to be with her all day - she loves details. I think it’s safe to say the Lodge trains their employees to know the resort by the back of their hand. There was never a question she couldn’t answer. That goes for the Bellstand boys too.

I would recommend the Lodge to everyone who wants one location to house their guests and celebrate their special day! Ignore the reviews online stating how outdated the Lodge is; it’s charming with tons of amenities and lakeside venues. Including Spa Shiki, my relax-spot and bridal updo vendor! Thanks again..

Matt and I had a beautiful September 1st wedding at the Lodge over Labor Day weekend and would like to thank all of the employees who made our day so special. The wedding day was perfect despite the weather and having to move the ceremony indoors to the Seachase. We chose to have our rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception and the Lodge and the venues, food, and service were outstanding. A special thanks to Brittney Morris for being of such great help throughout the entire planning process, she was able to relieve a lot of stress on our part by having continuous communication and going out of her way to meet our needs. She was always able to reassure me that things would get taken care of and she made this happen when necessary. Although we were overall pleased with the Lodge, we were not completely satisfied with "Reservations" prior to the wedding and the weekend of the wedding. There seemed to be confusion in rooms and we feel that this is something where the Lodge needs improvement. Other than the glitches with "Reservations" everything else exceeded our expectations.

The lake provided my dream atmosphere for the kind of serene wedding I had always envisioned. It was absolutely beautiful and intimate for us, and our families.

The venue was gorgeous and all of the staff were incredibly professional. We had an outdoor reception which got rained on 1/2 way through, but the staff were prepared, had a back up room ready, and moved our party inside within 20 minutes! Our only complaint is that the food was very, very pricey.

We were married on June 1, 2013 at the Club at Porto Cima. Since Porto Cima is associated with the Lodge of Four Seasons we decided to reserve a room block four our guests at the Four Seasons for our wedding weekend. What a great decision! We worked with Chelsea Klimkewicz throughout the whole planning process and she was great to work with. Never once did she make me feel stressed about any part of the room block. Not only did the Four Seasons provide us with a great room rate for our guests, they provided a complimentary shuttle for our wedding guests from the Four Seasons to Porto Cima and again at the end of the evening. To make it easiest for shuttle pick up all of our guests were placed in the same building, the Avila suites which were new and AMAZING! Our wedding guests were so impressed with the rooms. Chelsea also coordinated a dinner at HK's for our early arrivals on the Thursday before the wedding. This was so wonderful and we really felt pampered and didn't feel like we were breaking the bank! The food at HK's was delicious, we can't wait to go back! I was so thankful to have Chelsea assisting me with all the planning. She was so patient and answered my many questions. Planning a wedding is stressful enough, it was great to have one item covered that I didn't need to worry about.

There was a breakdown in communication the day before the wedding and I should have been more active in the details being carried out. The prices on the food were too expensive for what we had.

Do not hold your breath for stress less

To start let me say our wedding ending up being beautiful, but that came with a huge price tons of issues and alot of tears! I choose this place by looking at pictures as we did a out of starte wedding. I booked them 8 mths before we ever made the trip to even look at it in person, and for the most part it is a beautiful place. In the year and a half of planning this they went through 3 different wedding coordinators and EVERYTIME there was a new one it cost us more money from "something " the previous cordinator missed. We booked 10 suites for our guests and was told we was getting the best deal, once you went online we relized you could get a better deal 80plus dollars a night cheaper but was to late beings we had already signed a contract. Fast forward to the big weekend. As myself and other guests started to arrive to our suites it was problem after problem after problem with our rooms. Mind you my husband and i paid for all the rooms up front months ago, our rooms wasn't even fully ready for us. Some had rokms with beds that was dirty and unmade, some ac units didnt work, some had no working tub some was just dusty dirty and ours was the worst it had piles of wet dirty towels construction dust covered our room so bad when you touched a handle inside the room your hands was pure white, had construction tools and buckets still in our room, so many ppl was denied acces to there room at first as well bc "the staff member checking ppl.in was new and didn't know what was going on" my husband and i got sick of calling that we ended up going down to main building and sitting untill each of our quests arrived. When staff came to "fix&clean" our rooms most was fixed 3 had to come back a 2nd and 3rd time bc still wasnt done or fixed.plus the countless times we had to call bc someones key stop working. During the big day while my friend was down setting up room for reception they didnt even have things set up as they was supposed to per the diagram they gave us and ended up being a hassel of its own. They decided they also wanted to change timing of things at the last minute and not even telling dj until secs before ,throwing him and us off our game (dont worry dj was great and worked quickly to make us satisfied). The bartender wasnt even part of there staff but a hired traveling bartender (which was awsome) but the staff member they had keeping count coulnt even count, and they have them poor 1/3 of pop into a cup and charge 3.00 plus each drink. To top that off we was told a couple weeks before the wedding that there would be a plus plus to every drink, drink 6.50 plus taxes plus 22% service fee(gratitude). We paid 75.00 first 4 hrs plus 25 every hour after for bartender plus god knows how much in tips he received but they still charge a 22%service fee per drink! After reception staff asked us if we wanted them to box up our decor and etc told us doors would be locked so we didnt have to worry we agreed. Next morning we go to load up than check out as we get down there nothing was boxed just all moved to one table next to totes, than as we got home 8hr drive away we relized they never gave us our decor back from the ceremony. With each and every problem that acquired we would call and complain all we every got was im sorry but....... always something we have been busy with all the rain, that was a misunderstanding, that person is new, they wasnt aware we choose this way, always something never im truly sorry let me fix that or lets get it figured out!!! With all the bad horrible stupid that happened i will say this, kim our last wedding coordinator that arrived 2 weeks before my big day was awsome and worked around clock trying to figure things out with what little time she had.. the 2 young shuttle drivers we had seems like whole time we was there was fantastic we made sure they keep receiving good big tips bc the was prolly the best staff of entire place. The jamaican staff member that was present the whole time at our reception was awsome as well. Days maybe even weeks before our big day it had done nothing but rain, so much with a scare we wasnt going to be able to get married on beach bc of the rain but they did get it fixed back up day before, our wedding turned out beautiful nice warm and sunny. Stunning. Reception through the adjustments and changes turned out to be the party of my life.. i say it was perfectly imperfect. Though i would not be able to truly whole honestly recommend this place to anyone bc we had tons of issues, i will say it ended perfect.
