An absolute joy!
Working with Stuart, Wendy and Derek at The Loft DSM was amazing. Their attention to detail, promptness, friendliness and work ethic made our wedding planning process and wedding day a breeze. I did not have to worry about a thing as I knew they had everything covered. They were in constant communication with us to ensure we got exactly what we wanted and envisioned. We got so many compliments on the decor, the flow and timing of our events and florals. I couldn’t be happier with our experience and would recommend The Loft DSM to any couple wanting the wedding of their dreams.Working with Stuart, Wendy and Derek at The Loft DSM was amazing. Most amazing vendor team EVER!
When we toured The Loft DSM, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. We booked it almost 2.5 years early and throughout the entire process Stuart, Derek, and Wendy were phenomenal. Stuart was able to meet with me several times about my vision and execute it flawlessly. From the florals to the drapery to the lighting to the glassware, Stuart and The Loft DSM made our wedding day spectacular. During wedding week and on the day of, Wendy and Derek were the most amazing duo and I couldn't have asked for a better team. Wendy calmed my nerves, handled the little fires that popped up, managed familial issues, reminded me to eat and drink water, and made me feel like I could truly relax, which is a hard thing for me to do. If you are wanting a team that can exceed your expectations and create your dream wedding or event, The Loft DSM is the place for you.When we toured The Loft DSM, we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. Beautiful Venue
This venue is beautiful and the team there is very responsive. I think the pricing gets kind of high for what you get, but all wedding costs are high right now, so it could be in the normal range right now. I wanted to do the professional decorations from Stuart because he does a beautiful job on ones I saw pictures of, but I couldn't afford it. My wedding was still beautiful and a wonderful day and I appreciate how flexible they were with how many times I changed my mind on things.This venue is beautiful and the team there is very responsive. The Loft is Amazing. Beware the Booze Vendor
I have so many wonderful things to say about our wedding at the Loft and just one (big) complaint with the liquid catering company you have to use if you book the Loft that couples need to be aware of. Let’s get into it.
1. This space is absolutley gorgeous and it looked incredible the night of our wedding. The team had definitely gone above and beyond for us to make the space look fantastic. We used Stuart for our flowers as well and they were some of the best I’ve ever seen. I will say BE VERY SPECIFIC about what you want in your bridal bouquet because mine was nothing like I asked for. Fortunately, I didn’t really care and it was gorgeous so it wasn’t a big deal but I know some brides would have stronger opinions so just make sure you make this a point of emphasis.
2. BOOK THE DAY OF COORDINATORS. They are phenomenal and well worth the money. They seriously were heroes for us and kept the train on the tracks. I had some major issues with my DJ and if we hadn’t hired them and they hadn’t pushed him on some of the things they knew were I had asked of him, they simply would not have happened. They are incredibly easy to work with and so on top of things. I really was so close to not spending the money on them but I am so so glad I did. Favorite vendor I worked with for sure.
3. I would be shouting from the rooftops that everyone should book the Loft except for one issue. They have an exclusive contract with a liquid caterer that isn’t a very good price to start with and then COMPLETELY screwed us by not following the directions we had given them. We had told them we didn’t want any shots served at the wedding but they served shots and we had to pay for all of it. I tried to fight them on it because I had a screenshot of an email saying specifically no shots and reminded them we had discussed it on the phone. But they said because it wasn’t on the invoice it was my fault. This seems like a pretty dirty trick to me. Since an invoice is basically a receipt of what you owe, it made sense to me that something I WASN’T paying for wasn’t on the invoice. That is just the tip of the iceberg of our exchange and ultimately they ended up refunding us the cost of the patron so we at least got something back but we were still screwed out of a lot of money. Conveniently (for them), every receipt picture they sent me was blurry so it’s hard to know exactly how much money, but we’re talking in the thousands. This whole thing was the most horrendous, grimiest thing I’ve ever had a business do to me so I hope the Loft will reconsider their exclusivity with them so I can fully recommend couples book the Loft.
