  PERFECT ADDITION to wedding welcome bags

  I can’t thank Patrick & Amanda enough!! I was looking for something special to add to guest Welcome Bags for my daughter’s recent wedding in Newport! In addition to snacks, a mini-split of Prosecco, a hand-painted oyster shell, & various sundries - the NSS’s Newport Bridge cookie brought it all together!! They were both adorable & delicious!! These or other goodies from NSS would make great wedding favors too!!

  Favors and Cupcakes

  We ordered our wedding favors and cupcakes using the NSS. And WOW! The husband and wife team we’re AMAZING. From the beginning they were easy to work with and professional. Our chocolate favors were delicious and well as our cupcakes! Plus the store itself has so many treats we keep coming back! Seriously a great experience and would highly recommend!!!!!

  Amazing CUPCAKES!!! We got four flavors of cupcakes carrot cake, salted caramel, strawberry shortcake, and chocolate chocolate with a small 6' round cake on top. The cupcakes offered our guests a variety of flavors, were more economical than a traditional cake, and the small cake on top allowed us to do the traditional cake cutting. Amanda worked with our florist to add flowers to the cupcake tower to pull everything together it was beautiful, and again, delicious.

  We had a Cupcake tower and cutting cake for our wedding. The cake tasting was one of the best parts! Amanda and Patrick were great to work with. Hard to pick just a couple flavors!! Their shop is super cute and lot of different options (cookies, treats). Loved the option of having a Newport cookie as a guest welcome bag. Highly recommend to use for your Newport wedding or event!

  Amanda and Patrick were a pleasure to deal with for our daughter's wedding. We had cupcakes and a bride and groom cake. Everything was set up beautifully and they were absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend them!

  My husband and I could not be happier with the way our wedding cake of cupcakes turned out!! They were such a hit with our guests and they were so delicious. Amanda and Patrick are amazing at what do and work hard to create exactly what you want your wedding cake (of cupcakes) to look like! We also had a mini cake on top of the display for our 'cutting of the cake' ceremony. Our flavors of cupcakes were: carrot cake, chocolate raspberry, coconut, Guinness cupcake, and tiramisu! I would highly recommended The Newport Sweet Shoppe!!

  My daughter was just married in Newport. The venue had another bakery that they recommend and we were going to use. On one of our walks through Newport, we discovered this lovely shoppe with their wonderful owners. They were so friendly, kind and accommodating. We loved all the cupcakes and chocolates we tried. We talked to them about doing the cake and not only was their cake tastier, they were also willing to do a 3 tier cake with an additionaly sheet cake for cutting. We ended up saving about $200 on the cake alone. Additionally, we ordered their chocolate lobsters as favors, which were a huge hit. Thank you again!

  We worked with Amanda and Patrick for our wedding cake and also ordered salt water taffy from the shop to give as favors. They were very easy to work with and everything tasted wonderful! They were kind enough to ship 10 lbs. of taffy to me in Pennsylvania prior to the wedding so I could make up boxes of taffy for my guests seating assignment and favor. When we went to our tasting, we had a very difficult time deciding on our final flavors because everything was just delicious! Our cake was great at the wedding too! We have stopped in a couple times before and after the wedding for cupcakes and cookies and they are always great. I would definitely recommend the Newport Sweet Shoppe!

  I got my favors at Newport Sweet Shoppe and they were truly delicious. I loved giving a little piece of Newport to guests (many of whom traveled from far and wide just to be in Newport for the day). They matched the ribbon on the favors to my wedding colors and the favors were a super-great value for all the work that went into the individual packaging! Additionally, they called the week of my wedding to remind me about picking them up (seriously appreciated when you have bride brain). I actually hoarded a bunch of extra chocolate favors and am hiding them in my sock drawer from my husband, that's how good these chocolates are. Fortunately, I return to Newport often and will keep checking them out for more chocolates and cupcakes, but I can't recommend them highly enough for cute and "Newport" favors!

We also used the cookies as favor/name cards and it was a hit! I was able to drop off the name cards at the shop and they attached them with a cute ribbon to each cookie. They were very responsive and the cupcakes/cookies were amazing!

We must have stopped by their little shop over a dozen times over the span of our engagement (for selfish reasons because their desserts are delicious) but they were always so friendly, helpful and came up with some amazing ideas for our candy bar and cupcake tier! Our guests were obsessed with the cupcakes and candy- we barely had any left! I am a huge sweets eater and I loved everything they had to offer! Highly highly recommend the Newport Sweet Shoppe!

  We couldn't choose between the assortment of yummy desserts offered at The Newport Sweet Shoppe so we decided to go with a dessert bar for our July 4th wedding! The cupcakes are unbelievable (we loved the carrot cake). The whoopie pies and sugar cookies were a great addition and Amanda gave us solid advice on what shape the cookies should take (lobsters and american flags!). Amanda was also able to incorporate an American flag into our cutting cake by layering the inside of the cake while the outside remained ivory. It was the perfect touch! The Newport Sweet Shoppe is reasonably priced and offers many delicious dessert and welcome bag options. Amanda is very talented and easy to work with. When you step in the door, you feel as though you're in dessert heaven!

We met Patrick, and I couldn't wait to get my husband-to-be in there. The cupcakes are artistic and have many options that offer the Newport nautical theme (something we were looking for).

  SO glad we found the Sweet Shoppe for our wedding cupcakes. We met Amanda and Patrick when we went in for a tasting - -everything was DELICIOUS. We had such a hard time choosing, but in the end had incredible cupcakes! The cupcakes were an absolute hit with everyone and were beautifully displayed on a tier we got to rent from them! They made everything so effortless for us.   Amanda and Patrick's wedding place card cookies were perfect - they looked great and were delicious too!! They were also kind enough to make three special cookies for some of our younger guests, which were a huge hit! We will certainly be using them again for future special occasions.

  Working with Amanda (and Bryan) was great! Amanda was able to take our vision and create the most beautiful cake and cupcakes for our wedding! And all of our guests raved about how delicious the cupcakes were at the wedding. And we ended up serving part of our cake at breakfast the next morning, and got more oohs and ahhs because it was sooo yummy!

  The cupcakes were AMAZING at our wedding. Everyone loved each flavor (carrot cake, chocolate chocolate, red velvet, and strawberry), and they were just melted in our mouths. The price was also amazing- only 2.50 per cupcake, which was the cheapest we could find anywhere! However, the communication and responsiveness was lacking. We had to email and call them multiple times before we got any answers. That was frustrating.
