  I can’t recommend the Oaklander and Becky enough

  She was so on top of making sure everything ran smooth for our hotel block and bridal suite. They were accommodating to all of our guests and everyone raved about them. It was the perfect location for us since it was right between Heinz and Soldiers. The suite we used for the bridal suite was just stunning and all of the staff were so friendly. They provided anything we needed and we had a great experience! One of the highlights of our wedding weekend was calling this hotel home base.

  Best. Venue. EVER!!!!!

  When we decided to get married on New Year's Eve, we knew we needed a venue that was beautiful, professional, and fun! The Oakland was all that and more. Becky was extremely helpful throughout the planning process, and when COVID changed all of our plans last minute, Becky and the team stepped in to help us however they could. Our wedding day was perfect; the food was delicious, the events team checked in with us all along the way to see that the day was going smoothly, and the staff was upbeat and fun the entire night. We even convinced a few of them to dance with us for a couple of minutes! It was the perfect wedding day. When we got back to our room, there was even surprise champagne and treats waiting for us! We hosted brunch the next morning at Spirits & Tales, and it was just as fantastic as our wedding the night before. The Oakland exceeded our expectations and made our special day better than we could have ever imagined.

  Incredible!

  The entire staff at The Oaklander was amazing! Our day was absolutely perfect and they helped from start to finish. Ben was our main contact and he was so responsive to all of our emails, questions, calls etc. Amy was the banquet manager for the actual event and the entire night went off without a hitch. They didn’t miss a single detail and added some special touches which were much appreciated! Planning a wedding during COVID is obviously daunting and we questioned whether it would feel like the special event it was meant to be, but the staff at The Oaklander definitely made us feel extra special.

  Five stars!

  We had a hotel block at The Oaklander for our wedding in May 2019 and we couldn't be happier! We had many out-of-town guests coming in for the wedding, most of which stayed at the hotel.
  Emily Semmelroth and all of the staff were so wonderful from start to finish. Before we arrived, they did their best to make sure that everyone was on a similar floor/near each other and also checked to see if there were any special requests. They allowed us to borrow various items for our hair and makeup teams and other items that we needed for the day of celebrations in our suite. They even brought us a mini fridge to our room to keep our wedding cake in!
  We rented the Presidential Suite for the weekend, which was INCREDIBLE!! It was such a beautiful room, so spacious, and perfect for getting ready on the wedding day! The best part is that it has 2 bathrooms and the bedroom/private bathroom closes off.
  The hotel is centrally located in Oakland, which was perfect for our Heinz Chapel/Carnegie Music Hall wedding. The restaurant/bar were perfect meeting places for the night before the wedding and the morning after brunch.
  We really cannot say enough great things about this hotel! They were so very wonderful to work with and so welcoming to us and all of our guests! We highly recommend them for your wedding blocks or just to stay for a few days!

  A little overpriced

  They didn't have great deals for room blocks. They also did not guarantee the bridal suite to be on a high floor.
