The Oaks at Oak plantation exceed any expectations we had for a Venue💍. We toured about 15 different wedding venues and once we met Darlene and her lovely team we knew that this was the one for us. We booked in October 20 20 for our wedding April 2022. Throughout the process Darlene stayed in touch with us and was readily available for questions. The Oaks likes to say that when you’re with them they treat you like family and that is completely true. We rented out all of the rooms for Friday and Saturday night allowing for all of our immediate family to stay on site. Darlene checked in on us to see if we needed anything, we purchased two wonderful breakfast from her. We couldn’t be more happy that we got to spend our special day at The Oaks at Oak plantation.

WOW! We just had a wedding here at The Oaks and it was truly a magical experience. The day was perfect and it was an easy process from touring, to signing to the wedding day. I do recommend to brides to read their contract because it is A LOT of information, however I just followed the rules and guidelines and my day was executed perfectly. My husband & I did decide to get married inside because the ballroom is timeless, and it was an easy transition with my planner and The Oaks staff helping from ceremony to reception. Highly recommend this venue

I wanted to take the time and share my personal experience with The Oaks at Oak Plantation. From beginning to end, it was the best, easiest and non-stressful experience out of the whole planning. The owners and employees had directed and guided me in the best way possible.. the ballroom is just breathtaking in general! Literally the best day of my life!

Unprofessional, extremely rude, don't trust anything verbal with these people! I booked this venue for my wedding which took place on Sunday 10/10/2021; Beautiful beyond measure and reasonably priced... but if it's too good to be true than it probably is. Darlene the owner was extremely nice and easy to work with until she received my money! We paid her 8k and 5 days before my wedding she became a totally different person. She refused to honor the verbal conversations we had as she kept stating refer to the contract! Initially she informed me and my husband we could use our own vendors including Bar tender and Caterer as long as the vendors had the proper licensing (which they did) We specifically asked about security requirements as my husband has his own security company, she informed us that they did not require we have security (nothing in the contract stated anything about security) And there was not any policies listed anywhere that stated such. I sat down with her in her office to discuss questions I had within the contract regarding the bar tending service as well as the requirements in receiving our deposit back (500.00) Darlene said verbatim "Oh honey we don't go by that you can use any bar tender you like as long as it’s an actual bartending service, and just be sure the venue is in the shape you found it and take all of your belongings at the end of the night to receive your deposit)

5 days before my wedding her daughter in law Angelica called stating we are required to have 2 police officers for security which totaled 800.00; I was upset being that this was not the conversation we had; she gave us a hard time about the bartending service we already hired and paid for in full; she did not allow us to have a floor wrap as she complained it would scratch her wood floors that cost her 80k, she spoke to me, my husband and my wedding coordinator like we were children refusing to have an adult conversation to try and resolve things and here we are 2 months later and she's refused to give me back my 500.00 deposit. We were lied to, treated poorly, taken advantage of and it caused me and my team extreme stress

The manager is awful to deal with. Made the day of so stressful. Threw out last minute payment requests. Required payment for security in cash the day of the party without prior invoice. She ransacked some purses that were in the bridal suite. Always kept yelling about everything. Super tacky. The bathrooms were always filthy with trash overflowing and low toilet paper in stalls.

Gorgeous venue but I would NOT recommend. For 9 months we dealt with Angelica, who was nice and helpful. But the day of the wedding she was no where to be seen, when she had told me and my daughter she would be there. Instead we had to deal with Darlene, who was beyond difficult to deal with. Constant nagging about any and everything. Two of our vendors said they would never return to this venue. First it was no one could enter the kitchen, then she waited until the florist was completely finished before saying that she could not use zip tips on the banister to attach the greenery. All she wanted to do was say "it is in the contract", which by the way is NOT in the contract. This is only a couple of the things we dealt with all day long. My poor wedding coordinator was frustrated and definitely earned her money that day. They required us to use their vendor, Mobil Intoxicologist, who was also very difficult to deal with. They would NOT serve a spirit or coke, which we bought, to my 5 year old grandson until it was on their timeline. They Constantly carded all of our guests and then had the police officers harass them when they went to their car to get their ID's. Wouldn't let our wedding coordinator serve the bride & groom Just the lack of professionalism and treatment on the day of the wedding was astonishing!!!

Booked this venue and the owner was extremely inconsiderate. Save yourself the headache. Book somewhere else.
