  Amazing wedding venue!

  Highly recommend the Poppy! Wilma was the absolute best! Somehow we pulled off a wedding in 4 weeks and it wouldn’t have happened without her! The rest of the staff was also amazing! The food was amazing! Everyone felt safe and comfortable during our event! Our original wedding was supposed to be 165 ppl on 9/12/2020 but our first venue refused to work with us and they ultimately cancelled our wedding. We decided we still wanted to marry regardless and then found a venue in RI. 4 weeks before our now rescheduled wedding, governor Baker put travel restrictions to RI into effect. I was absolutely devastated but we knew we still wanted to get married somehow, someway. My mom suggested we look at the Popponesset Inn in Mashpee, which I never heard of prior. We are so glad we took my mom’s advice! We married on 9/5/2020 at the Popponesset Inn with less than 50 people in their outdoor tent and it was an absolutely beautiful / perfect day! We never imagined our wedding to be like this but ultimately it was better than we ever expected regardless of the current circumstances. Thank you, Wilma and the rest of the staff for making our original wedding nightmare turn into an absolute dream!

  Amazing Venue, Views, and Staff

  My husband and I were married in June at the Popponesset Inn. It was the most PERFECT venue for the perfect day. Wilma Lopez was our coordinator, and made the process, from our first tour to the last toast, smooth, seamless, and fun. The Inn is one of the only venues on the Cape that combines the beauty of an outdoor beach reception with 'safety' of an indoor event. We had EVERY type of weather on our wedding day (sun, rain, hail, thunder) and everyone stayed safe, dry, and enjoyed the view through it all. But what made the day was Wilma and her staff. She anticipated every question, and kept me calm through the planning process. We were worried about going over the 200 person max capacity, but she reassured us throughout that we would be fine (and came in at a cool 198.. phew!). Wilma knew we were on a budget, and helped us think of ways to save money in certain places to keep us in a place we were comfortable with. She flawlessly handled everything from setup to keeping everything on schedule, to ensuring everything was kept safe and returned to us the next day. I couldn't have imagined a more perfect venue or coordinator. You won't regret getting married at the Poppy!!

  Our wedding at the Poppy with Jennifer as our coordinator was truly magical and felt like a giant hug the whole time.   Nothing but positive things to say from planning up to the event. Jennifer Perry was extremely helpful in every way. Great attention to detail. Venue was perfect as was the food, service etc. We wouldn't have done anything different. A perfect wedding venue!

  My husband and I could not be happier with this venue!!! We knew we wanted to get married on the beach and as soon as we saw the venue, we were in love with it! The great thing is that no matter what the weather is it will still be beautiful.
  
  The thing that made this venue even better was the staff. When planning a wedding it is very stressful and the staff at Popponesset make the process nice and easy. I at first had Laura as my event coordinator and she was great but she did resign a few weeks before my wedding. I actually was not worried at all though because Jennifer was the new coordinator and she has been there for 15 years. Jennifer was amazing, so easy to work with and answered all of my last minute crazy emails almost as soon as I sent them! She was also truly happy for us and was just so sweet.
  Also, the day of the wedding there is a staff with you almost at all times to make sure you are taken care of. The staff that was with me a lot of the night was Katie and I was amazed by how attentive she was. She made sure I had everything I needed, made sure I had a drink in my hand at all times (haha!), cleaned the sand out of my feet after photos on the beach, and made sure we ate dinner!
  
  Everything looked amazing and I can not say enough great things about the staff there. Also, all of the vendors said they just love doing weddings there because of how great everyone is there.

  One of the best decisions my husband and I made was having our wedding reception at Popponesset Inn. From day one, Wilma was absolutely AMAZING! Very accommodating and was so easy to work with! She was absolutely incredible!
  
  Somehow, Wilma and her amazing team put together a reception that was stunningly beautiful. They were professional beyond belief and made the stresses of the day non-existent. I was able to drop everything off a couple days before the reception and the rest was in Wilma's hand. Someone told me that 60 things will go wrong on the day of the wedding and that I'll be the only one who knows. This did not happen with Popponesset Inn. I can honestly say that nothing went wrong! They rolled up the sides of the tent to allow for the ocean breeze when it got warm inside.
  
  The food was amazing! We opted for the stations option, which gave us 3 stations to choose from - a carving, pasta, and seafood stations. Everything was awesome! Certainly not your traditional, basic wedding food!
  
  I cannot say enough great things about Popponesset Inn. I would host future events there and suggest it to everyone I know!

  THE best choice I've ever made in my life was getting married at the Popponessett Inn. I don't even know where to begin.
  
  I wanted a wedding venue that felt "Cape Cod" and my now-husband is obsessed with the beach. I was afraid of doing a tent wedding; both because it would involve more planning on my part and because I didn't want to have to worry about weather so much. A friend suggested the Popponessett Inn. When I looked at the website I was totally underwhelmed, but then came across a photographer's website with pictures of a wedding there and loved it. My mother and I went down to see the venue and meet the wedding coordinator (Wilma) - we immediately fell in love.
  
  The view: The ocean view here is absolutely breathtaking. It doesn't matter if it's sunny, cloudy, hazy, or rainy - the view is stunning.
  
  The place: I loved the option that if it DID rain, they could roll down the sides (as they would with a tent). If it were cold, they have heaters - not that this would be a problem on August 1, but hey you never know. There was a great flow for cocktail hour and then reception. There are vendors that can come and put up a ceiling liner or lanterns - both beautiful. The place holds a relaxed vibe because it's on the beach, but of course still formal because it's a wedding.
  
  The food: OMG. I am still receiving compliments on the food. We had filet mignon and baked stuffed shrimp. EVERY piece of filet mignon was cooked perfectly (medium rare). My guests couldn't believe it. I thought it was inevitable that food would be overcooked for 180 guests, but it was not. The shrimp was also delicious, but the filet was my favorite. The clam chowder and caesar salad are also some of the best I've ever had.
  
  I only have so much space here but Wilma was a dream and the service on the day of was absolutely fabulous. My wedding day was flawless thanks to this amazing place.

  The Popponesset is an amazing venue! The space itself is great, and you can't beat being right on the ocean! We loved the laid-back, beachy vibe of the tent, while still feeling fancy- basically perfect for the Cape! The staff were all great and very accommodating, especially Wilma, our coordinator. They were super attentive to detail and great to work with. Our guests raved about the food (especially the raw bar!) and scenery, and we haven't heard a single complaint yet. We also loved that it has two bars- one by the dance floor and one on the upper level. This worked out great for guests who wanted to talk away from the loud dance floor.
  
  If you are looking for a beach location, this place is perfect and I highly recommend it!

  Having our reception at the Poppy truly made our wedding day phenomenal! I cannot say enough about the location, staff, food, and overall ambience! Being a native Cape Codder, I really appreciated the authentic Cape feel of the Popponesset. It's gorgeous without being stuffy, and the view of the water is absolutely spectacular. Even if the weather had been stormy, we had the peace of mind and security of a permanent structure......fortunately, we had a beautiful (albeit slightly windy) day. It's the best of all worlds! Jennifer Perry was our coordinator, and she was amazing!! She could not have been any more accommodating or genuinely interested in creating our dream day! Through out the entire wedding planning process, Jennifer felt like a friend and treated us like we were her "only" client. We were so pleased on October 14 to see that the entire staff was just as wonderful! Everyone was so helpful & pleasant! We had a ton of personalized details that we wanted incorporated into our decor, and Jennifer and her team did a great job carrying out every last detail. Our photographs at the venue are incredible! Our memories are indescribable! And perhaps best of all, our guests had a blast and loved the entire thing!!

  PERFECT VENUE FOR A CAPE COD BRIDE!!!!
  
  Jennifer was awesome to work with, helpful, professional, caring, open minded - everything a bride could ask for during her planning and on her big day. The staff working our wedding was phenomenal to all our guests and my husband and I. Perfect day at a perfect place!

  Aaron was the coordinator at the Club at New Seabury who took care of our wedding ceremony and reception at the Popponesset Inn. I would hire him again in a second-- he recommended all the right vendors to us, was easy to work with and had a great staff.

My parents have a beach house in the Popponesset area and I knew since I was little and spent 2 weeks out of my summer down there, that I wanted to get married there someday. Jennifer the wedding coordinator we worked with was amazing. She made sure everything went off without a hitch and was there for us for the 9 months of stressful wedding planning. She answered all our of questions promptly and really made my wedding day amazing. The bridal attendant that was assigned to us was amazing as well. She made sure we always had a drink in our hand. During the cocktail hour she made sure we have 10 of everything in the bridal suite and even packed up any extras for us to take home! We had stations for dinner and she went around and got my husband and I two of everything so we didn't have to go up and wait in the line for good. The whole day was amazing. Dancing with friends and family steps from the beach with a beautiful background...doesn't get much better than that. If you want good food, an amazing setting, and great people to work with pick the Popponesset Inn!

  If you're looking for a water front venue on Cape Cod- The Popponesset Inn should be your number one choice! It's a truly unique, beautiful place- with the true Cape Cod feel, that all of your guests will love. Our wedding was absolutely beautful! The staff was amazing, the food was excellent, and the guest cottages were great too! Jennifer is the best coordinator! She's attentive, super helpful and is so quick to respond to any questions you may have. She's the nicest and truly made me feel at ease with everything. She guided me and helped make my wedding day exactly what I envisioned. We also had the chance to meet Aaron and Wilma as well, and they were amazing to work with too. If you're looking for a venue right on the water, definitely go check out The Popponesset! You won't be dissapointed.

  The Popponesset Inn was the most beautiful venue. It was just perfect!! Great views, amazing food, wonderful and helpful staff. Jennifer Perry was incredible to work with throughout the wedding planning process. We wanted a wedding on the beach, and having the wedding ceremony in the Poppy tent was perfect because we were right on the beach but it was personal and private being in the tent, and guests could actually hear our vows (as sometimes outdoor noises disrupt ceremonies when you're actually exposed in the open outdoors) but the windows were all open so the cool breeze blew in, the calming sounds of the waves helped to relax both of us, and it was just a gorgeous setting. Fun photos on the beach afterward and a gorgeous reception back in the Poppy tent made for the perfect wedding! The only thing I wish were different is that we had to end at midnight! No one wanted to leave! The evening flew by so fast and we didn't want it to end!! So other than that, it was everything we wanted and incredible!! I highly recommend it!

  A wedding can be quite a logistical challenge if you let it be. Laura was fantastic in helping us keep all our arrangements in order. She was so friendly and pleasant to work with, and you can tell she genuinely wanted to ensure that our wedding day went off without a hitch. She was attentive to the wedding party throughout the day without being intrusive. The months beforehand, her attention to detail really made us feel comfortable with the planning, which helped to alleviate an already mounting series of tasks. She kept cool and calm as all the events of the day unfolded, which helped keep us cool and calm about everything as well, as we wanted to ensure all our guests were having a good time and all their needs were being addressed.

  After nearly a week after celebrating my daughters wedding at the Poppy people are still raving. Dawn and her crew could not have been an more accommodating and the service was only surpassed by the quality of food. This being our first wedding we host - we had many questions and concerns and our minds were put at ease and directed with kindness. Thank you Dawn once again - You truly made it magical

  We got married at the Popponesset off-season (May 2011). The weather was gorgeous, the location is a dream and the staff was just fantastic & so accommodating. We haven't stopped hearing about the food (cocktail & dinner), everyone was blown away. So happy with our venue choice!! We'd recommend it to anyone looking for a picture perfect venue with an oceanview.

  The Popponesset is a beautiful place to hold a wedding. There is a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean as a perfect backdrop for the ceremony. It takes on an added element at night when the sun goes down, as the fence on the beach is illuminated for a gorgeous view during dinner. The food drew rave reviews and the set-up of the dance floor down where the ceremony is held, plus a bar on the upper level, worked very well in allowing people to spread out and hang out at places of their choosing. All in all, the venue is high quality with excellent sights and well worth the price.

  I am writing as a guess. The food at the wedding was horrible. The fish was so over cooked it tasted like it was out of a can and cold. Water was very difficult to get. The bar is shared with the restaurant/bar so guest complete with them while trying to get drinks in the cocktail hour. Wedding party had no complaints yet all thr guest left saying how the food was horrible and the drinks hard to get. A water station was put out towards the end of the reception but doesn’t help if you wanted it with dinner.
