Kerri was absolutely fantastic. She had great recommendations for vendors and made all our wedding ideas happen! We got the Petite Plan from the Proper Setting, and it was definitely worth it. We were on the fence between just the Day-Of and the Petite Plans, but since we are out of state it was MUCH better to go with the Petite and having Kerri help along the way. Our wedding day went very smoothly thanks to her, and she was prepared for anything. My husband and I would highly recommend the Proper Setting! -

Kerri made our whole wedding planning process so much better. She is very detailed in her work, and was very responsive with any questions we had throughout planning our wedding. She has an eye for detail, and made sure that on our wedding day, everything looked just as we liked it. Kerri and Kayleigh were so helpful to us as we planned our daughter's wedding in the OBX. They kept us on track and on schedule while we navigated the many details of planning a wedding. Kerri helped us with our timeline, with vendors, with payment schedules, and provided checklists to guide our planning. Kerri ran the rehearsal, and on the wedding day, Kayleigh made sure that every detail happened on time so that the wedding ran smoothly. The Proper Setting helped us plan the perfect wedding! -

Outstanding experience with The Proper Setting!
I naively believed I could handle the wedding planning for my daughter being that I have corporate event planning experience. However, once we began the wedding planning process, I could see this would be a different experience for my daughter and I - one that is very personal and involves some emotions and stress. I really needed to be accessible only as a "mom" to my daughter. We found that Kerri's industry knowledge, OBX relationships and professionalism was exactly what we - and all brides and mothers of the bride - need to plan your special day. From vendor selection, contract review, negotiations and advocating for the bride through the entire process, Kerri's advice and direction was flawless. As far as execution, I cannot praise her enough. Our vendors were lock-step with one another as her communication was exceptional. She listens to her brides and makes their dreams come true. It is without hesitation that we endorse Kerri Catino-Nason and her services. PS - she plans weddings outside of the OBX as well! -

Kerri and her team were the best money we spent for our wedding by far!! I didn't think I needed a wedding planner, but my mother and mother in law told me I should just look as we live in PA. We booked Kerri 2 years prior to our wedding and she was so helpful, understanding, and just an overall great human! She listened to every question, concern, and piece of drama I told her with complete care and helped me through everything! We are from PA so she made the process of planning an out of state wedding, so seamless! She did not push or question anything I ever wanted and helped a vision come to life that I was struggling to see myself! If you are planning an event, Kerri and her team are by far the best! Her and Danielle the week of the wedding were life savers and created the best day ever for my now husband and I! I will never be able to thank them enough and am forever grateful for them! I truly feel as though, not only did I have a great wedding planner, but I also gained a friend! The Proper Setting is the BEST! -

Best Wedding Planners!
Kerri and Danielle exceeded all of our expectations in planning and coordinating my daughter's wedding. Their attention to every detail was so helpful and made our entire weekend a huge success. We couldn't have asked for a better team to help us navigate the logistics of planning and navigating the wedding journey. I would give them 10 stars if I could! -

You must choose the Proper Setting and Kerri for your wedding planning team! I was blown away by Kerri and her team, and we would not have had the wedding of our dreams without them. She had a great solution for every question and obstacle we faced. When working with Kerri, you will get all the best vendors in the Outer Banks because everyone wants to work with her and because of her relationships. She was with us every step of the way and kept us very organized throughout the entire wedding planning process. She is by far the best wedding planner and went above and beyond expectations. Kerri and Danielle were fantastic! I would not have survived the wedding planning process without them. A few things that make the Proper Setting the ultimate dream team – great attention to detail, vast knowledge of all the tiny details that go into making a wedding perfect, close relationships to local vendors and just really wonderful people to have on your side. I was expecting to be a nervous wreck in the hours leading up to our ceremony, but I was uncharacteristically calm, and I owe a lot of that to Kerri and Danielle working behind the scenes to make sure our wedding went off without a hitch (we had to move to Plan B after having a week of wonderful fall weather) Cannot recommend the Proper Setting enough – they are the best of the best and you will not be disappointed!! -

Proper Setting Pleases!
Kerri and her team at The Proper Setting we absolutely wonderful to work with. The planning process was made SO easy with Kerri's attention to detail and her knowledge and experience working with vendors locally. She had great recommendations all around, from vendors to decorations to small details that I would not have even considered about the wedding day of timeline. Kerri went out of her way to meet us multiple times in person throughout the process and took care of the majority of the paperwork and communications with our vendors which took a huge weight off of our shoulders in the planning process. To top it all off, we had crazy weather during our big Day and Kerri and her team didn't skip a beat in rearranging and seamlessly getting things moved without disrupting the ceremony and the festivities. We had a wonderful experience working with Kerri and her team and would highly recommend them to others looking to get married in the Outer Banks! -

We got married in OBX this fall and we started planning it on our own. We soon ran into issues with the venues and vendors in the area and felt so frustrated. We happened to run into Kerri after a wedding expo and she jumped into to help us right away! She is warm, caring, capable, organized and efficient. We had monthly meetings and checklists of things to do on our own. She organized the various vendors, kept us out of the chaos, and made the wedding fun and beautiful for us. If you are getting married and think you can do it on your own- run and call Kerri! She was so invaluable to our experience. I cannot recommend her highly enough. -

The proper Setting (Kerri) was AMAZING!! Planning a wedding 6 hours away was hard, but Kerri made it easy!! She linked me with most of my vendors and helped me throughout the whole process. She took care of everything the day of so I could relax while getting ready. We had to execute plan B due to the weather and it was a smooth transition! I will deff recommend to everyone getting married in NC to call The Proper Setting.
