    Love it here!

    I love the food/dessert/wine/beer/champagne that I’ve chosen for my wedding reception. I also love working with Rachelle! She’s so awesome!

    Great food

    We hired Q Shack for our wedding and the food was delicious. The catering staff was also amazing.

    The Q Shack catered our May wedding, and it honestly was perfect. We wanted BBQ for our NC guests and also to show off what we do here in NC to our out of state guests. Q Shack totally delivered. We had multiple tastings with them to make sure we had the exact menu we wanted. They were extremely responsive and accommodating with any questions or changes.

    Their staff at the reception was wonderful, very professional and really we couldn't have asked for anything more.

    There were other BBQ places that I had talked to that were a bit fancier and pricier but honestly for our Barn wedding this was a great option to be a step up from your typical backyard BBQ, it was great!

    We worked with Laura and she helped me out SO MUCH! Every little question no matter the time she was quick to respond. Even if it had nothing to do with the food. The crew, especially the bar keep was AMAZING and the food was warm and delicious! We could not have asked for more our of the Q Shack!

    We worked with Laura from the Farmer's Table Restaurant Group for our wedding at The Cloth Mill at Eno River in Hillsborough, NC. From our initial contact to the day of our wedding, Laura was a pleasure to work with and helped us find amazing options for our cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and our main buffet dinner. The pricing was super reasonable and they even cut our cake for free, as well as helped set up our reception during the flip from the ceremony. Their staff is so sweet and were on point all throughout the night with clean up. I would highly suggest scheduling an appointment to taste their offerings before deciding on another caterer! I can't tell you how many of our guests told us about how delicious dinner was, even now, a month after we got married!

    We had a 62 person barn wedding and wanted REALLY good food, so we decided on BBQ. Laura with Farmer's Table RG (the parent company of The Q Shack) was so nice and accommodating. The Q Shack catered the dinner and we had some other apps for our cocktail hour from Farmer's Table. Everything was SO GOOD, which is saying something because I've been to several weddings where the food has been forgettable at best.

    Laura's team worked efficiently, professionally and unobtrusively, which is the hallmark of great service. During the planning process, Laura was always very responsive and answered all our questions. The value for the food and service we received was definitely a deal! Go with the Q Shack!

    We couldn't have asked for a better caterer. Tom Meyer was there day and night to help us with every detail related to questions and planning for the wedding reception and rehearsal dinner. I'm serious when I say he returned emails sent late at night and called me promptly whenever I had a question or a change that needed discussing. We had Tom do both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception because his company does more than just BBQ. Both events were outside under a large tent on a farm in Mebane, NC and there was a limited kitchen that was far from the tent, so Tom's group had to make sure the food showed up hot/cold and stayed that way. Guests commented at both events that the food was great. (We sort of figured it was because so many people went back for seconds and thirds.) The catering team that came to our venue were top notch. Dressed very professionally, they worked hard to make sure our guests were served great food. Afterwards, the team packed up food for the bride and groom to take with them that night and then carefully packed up any remaining food (BBQ) for the rest of the family. To top that off, the catering staff also started helping us pack up the chairs and tables under the tent for the rental company - which was something that went WAY beyond customer service. If you want a caterer who really cares about the quality and presentation of the food and who will make you feel heard and cared for from start to finish, you want to hire Tom and his catering team. You will not regret it. Seriously, with a wedding you have too many other things to worry about so why not make sure you've got the best person handling your catering? Tom and his team are it!

    Booked Q Shack after an excellent tasting. They were easy to work with and the food was delicious. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a southern BBQ style meal at your wedding.

    We hired Q-Shack to cater our wedding a few weeks ago and I must say that they were GREAT!! Initially when we decided to use the Q-Shack, we worked with the owner Tom in creating a menu as well as appetizers. I was highly impressed by this, as the owner of many caters aren't as hands on with potential clients as Tom was. During the planning process we encountered a mishap in setting the date of our wedding on the same day as the International Bluegrass Festival, without reception venue right in the middle of the festivities. We contacted Tom about changing this date, and he worked to accommodate our new wedding date that was set for the weekend after the festival. Approaching the wedding date, we began working with Laura, the new wedding concierge (we assumed that business was booming and Tom needed more people, lol.) Laura was a delight to work with. She was very patient and accommodating in us switching things on our menu literally a week and half before the wedding. The day of our wedding, Dave and the rest of the staff were wonderful in prepping everything for the reception. We had more than enough servers and bartenders, and all the guests seem appreciative of the hard work they put in. Our menu consisted of beef brisket, smoked turkey, green beans, mashed potatoes and their famous mac n' cheese with ham biscuits, chicken salad crostini, cracked pepper, goat cheese and honey crostini with an assortment of chips and dips as appetizers. As of today, guests still comment on how good the food was especially the brisket and mac n' cheese. I will definitely recommend the Q-Shack to anyone hosting a reunion, wedding or any other event in need of catering services.

    The Q Shack, which is a restaurant under the Farmers Table Restaurant Group (this is different from the Original Q Shack in Durham), provided hors d'oeuvres, buffet, servers, bartenders, and beer for my wedding of 90 people. Overall, they were amazing, and a fantastic price! We had pimento cheese biscuits, stuffed mushrooms, goat cheese potatoes, and arancini balls for hors d'oeuvres, and brisket, pulled chicken, hushpuppies, mac and cheese, green beans, and black bean salad for dinner. The staff worked so hard and were extremely courteous and professional. Everything was extremely affordable, and our guests loved the food!

    The Q-Shack provided catering, servers, and beer/wine for my 9/20/14 wedding. We were served pork bar-b-que, smoked turkey, mac-n-cheese, potato salad, collards, and hush puppies. All of the food was absolutely amazing and my guests are still raving about it, especially the turkey.Catherine, the wedding concierge at Q-Shack, was wonderful to work with. She was well organized, really wanted to understand my vision and execute it, and answered my millions and millions of emails promptly. The day of the wedding the servers arrived on time, dressed appropriately, and were very helpful and courteous. When the night was over they cleaned up quickly and left us with lots of to-go plates. I would highly recommend the Q-Shack. They were affordable but provided a very high level of service and quality food.

    Fantastic! Throughout the process, the owner, Tom Meyer, was quick to respond to my millions of questions by email and was super helpful. As the mom who should have had a wedding planner, many details were discussed once via email and on the wedding day I was completely unavailable. They came, they set up everything, they remembered all my details. We had 160 guests in an outdoor venue. The staff and bartenders were exceptionally helpful and professional. They even helped clean up after the wedding. The food was hot, delicious. I even changed the keg order a week before the wedding and they were able to do it. They made plates for the bride and groom and served them first before the buffet began. They are the best.

    Great food for the reception! We had brisket, turkey, macaroni and cheese, creamed corn, and salad. Great service. Tons of other food options on their catering menu. Would've had them pour more champagne in the glasses there was only a tiny sip in each glass. I guess the foam was too much. Everything was great though, very helpful and informative throughout the whole process. I know that weddings aren't they're normal catering events probably but it worked out great and they were incredibly flexible! Couldn't of asked for a better company to work with on our wedding day!

    Catherine and Quentin were excellent people to work with! My husband and I hounded Catherine with so many emails and she dealt with them gracefully. The food at the tasting was excellent! Definitely recommend the Q Shack for BBQ. My husband loved the food at the wedding. I enjoyed most of it, but being a big veggie lover, was not impressed with the seasonal veggie blend- it was not steamed or cooked as long, or maybe it had been sitting out by the time we got food? The staff who assisted our wedding was fantastic, though. Very professional! Great local catering company that uses local produce and food items!

    I loved working with the Q-Shack! We worked together for close to a year planning the menu for our October 2013 wedding the whole team was friendly and very flexible. We served turkey, beef brisket, macaroni and cheese, mashed sweet potatoes, roasted vegetables, salad and cornbread. YUM! They also provided appetizers during cocktail hour (beef satay and mini ham biscuits) and served the beverages at our bar (beer, wine, mixed drinks). We were able to provide the drinks and have them serve which helped us save money! Our guests loved the food and we had some leftovers which were boxed up for us to enjoy later that night.

    The Q Shack catered for my wedding of approximately 170 people and they were a dream to work with. They adapted the catering menu to include a few items that I was specifically yearning for. They also provided wonderful bar service. Overall they were incredibly responsive and remarkably flexible. We had rave reviews from our guests regarding the food too! I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to any couple getting married!

    As a wedding director, I am always looking for vendors that go above and beyond for the bride and groom. The staff at The Q Shack was extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating at the reception in Wake Forest on January 5, 2013, and their servers truly seemed happy to be there. The food was delicious and beautifully plated along the buffet line, and the staff helped me make sure that the bride and groom were provided with plenty of food in to-go containers for when they left the reception. Even at the end of the night, when the catering staff and I stayed to clean up, they were in high spirits and eager to help in any way needed. I am extremely encouraged by this caterer and will certainly recommend them to brides in the future!

    The guests loved the food and it went quick we did have plenty of leftovers but I ordered enough food for 40 people and there was only about 30. They came in set everything up and everything was warm and great.

    The Q-shack was flexible with their menu and with their "contract". Maybe too flexible. The food was fantastic, just like you would expect from the restaurant: casual North Carolina BBQ at it's best. But, on the day of the wedding, only one server showed up (not dressed in the attire we had requested), we had hired and paid for two. This server brought 5 gallon igloo coolers to serve the drinks out of, and had to leave the reception 3 times to return to the restaurant when he ran out of ice and drinks. We had also asked for the tables to be bussed promptly after dinner, and that was never done. Fortunately, our wedding coordinator was able to step in and help out a lot.
    So, for $11/person, I guess you get what you pay for.
