    Perfect Location

    We LOVED this location. After our first visit we just knew this was the right place for us and we quit looking at other options. We wanted an evening cocktail party reception and the Ruby House was perfect all around - right size, right vibe. Our ceremony was on the deck and although it rained the night prior and that morning, it cleared and we didn't have to move indoors but we would have fit if needed. We used the deck benches for the first rows to help separate/identify family seating and the hotel had chairs to rent for the rest of the seating. It all worked very well. After the ceremony, the staff cleared those chairs and returned the regular deck seating and tables which was perfect for the reception. We rented audio equipment for our officiant but used the in-house Sonos system to play our music for the rest of the reception. We put together several Spotify playlists that they loaded for us and gave us control to pick what to play and when.
    For food, we did heavy hors d'oeuvres which gave everyone a chance to mingle all evening. No one left hungry! The options available gave us a chance to meet the dietary needs of everyone from vegetarian to celiac. We were also able to work with the bar to put together the drink menu and package we wanted.
    Lastly, to keep the cost within reason, we opted for a Thursday evening rather than a weekend. The minimums were lower and no commitment for hotel rooms this way. For our guests from out of town, they stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the excuse for a long weekend in Austin. We also stayed at the hotel the night prior and night of which was convenient for getting ready and gave us extra time to visit with those friends. We were really happy with our choice to do it this way and all around, it was easier to schedule vendors and kept costs under control.

    The Ruby Hotel is Intimate and Beautiful!

    This beautiful boutique hotel was the perfect venue for our small, intimate wedding. The staff, service, food and drinks are of the highest quality. The grounds of the Ruby are exquisite, Matt and the staff felt like friends. Our day was perfect because we choose The Ruby Hotel.

    Perfect for amazing gatherings

    I cannot express how amazing everyone is there. Super helpful, easy to work with, amazing attention to all details, and are incredible at what they do. The food....amazing. The drinks are wonderfully crafted, never too sweet or too bitter, and thankfully not so many ingredients thrown in there, like some bars, that you weren't disappointed when you got your drink because it didn't taste anything like you thought it should.

    Everyone really enjoyed themselves. They just kept talking all night about how amazing The Ruby was. The beautiful Live Oaks with the lights giving a great glow to everything and the water right beside you, lends itself for people to really sit back and have a great time. It is one of those places that I want everyone to know about because it is that amazing and you want it to be super successful, but also don't so it can stay the quiet gem it is LOL.

    The rooms were gorgeous, but still comfortable to be in. Also whoever thought of the makeup towel...genius. But it really is attention to detail that sets you apart. The welcoming staff at check in and
    check out were just a joy to talk to, whether it was by text or in person. The housekeepers and landscapers were on top of their game keeping everything fresh and tidy.

    Also I have to say a huge thank you to whoever helped me with the table setup. They nailed it! Not too many flowers in one place and just a super clean look, which is how I had originally planned. Even though the poor Ruby House had a tough Winter and it would have been great to be inside, moving the inside to the outside was a great idea.

    Again thank you so much to everyone there, I am probably forgetting things to say, but Jesse and I will absolutely be back to enjoy the Pool and and renovate Ruby and the amazing views. We are definitely smitten with it!

    LOVE this MCM Boutique Hotel in RR

    The Ruby Hotel is such a unique boutique hotel nestled in Round Rock! It's located right off a creek which makes for some very pretty views. We organized our rehearsal dinner here, booked rooms for our wedding party for the night before our wedding as well as booked our honeymoon suite here for after the wedding. We started working with Matt and he laid out all of our options for hosting an event in their space. He was really open to anything we wanted to do and really allowed us to call the shots on what we wanted our rehearsal dinner to look like. We then started working with Cole who was/is equally as helpful! Cole really took the time to answer all of our questions and kept us on track leading up to the event. Cole and Matt took care of us so well, they were always fun to talk to and really helped us along the way. They were both very accommodating given the circumstances - our guests were greeted with contactless check in and the bar was closed off to our intimate party. Matt executed our event set up perfectly allowing us to focus on other things. The dinner they prepared for us and our guests was BEYOND impressive! Our guests were blown away at the quality of the meal as well as the friendly service from the bar staff. There were a couple of hiccups with communication between the front desk staff, but nothing major that they didn't jump on and rectify immediately. All in all, they are really creating a name for themselves and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking for a staycation or an elevated space to host a small event!

    The perfect place....

    The Ruby Hotel saved our wedding day. Due to Convid-19 we had to postpone our church wedding until 2021. We were heartbroken. However, after getting in touch with Cole, at the Ruby Hotel we realized we could have an intimate wedding there and it was truly memorable. Cole and EVERYONE at the Ruby Hotel made the us and our guest feel so special. The drinks, food, and rooms were perfect. We could not have asked for anything better. The whole experience was stressful and magical. Thank you Ruby for saving the day!!!

    Poor Customer Service

    Reasons for low rating:
    1. Reservation problems.
    2. Lack of customer service skills.
    3. Bugs in the room.

    My wife and I stayed here the night of our wedding in March 2022. We visited the property in July 2021 and then booked online. In January 2022, we went back to the property to discuss our expected late-night check-in. We paid for the room and they did some sort of pre-check-in and said we would get a text the day before giving more information to get into the room.

    The night of our wedding, we go up to our room and realize that we were given a Double Queen Room, even though we reserved and paid for a King Room. My wife walked back down to the office to inform them they gave us the wrong room and they were hardly apologetic. They said sorry we’re booked and there’s nothing we can do and they would refund us the difference of the room cost. I then walked down there (still in my wedding dress) to talk with them. I let them know how unacceptable this was, especially since we had visited the property, in person, 2 times and paid months in advance. This was our wedding night and it seemed they couldn’t care less. Finally, after several minutes, they said “I guess we will put you in the King Suite Room.” Then went on to say, “this room is valued at a higher rate than the one you reserved, but we won’t charge for the upgrade.”
    THE AUDACITY!!
    To attempt to make it seem like they were doing us a favor by giving us this upgraded room, even though the only reason we’re in this predicament is because y’all messed up our reservation. This King room should have been offered to us immediately when my wife walked down there the first time to complain that our room was wrong. But instead, it took both of us walking down there to complain before they felt any obligation to try to make this mistake better for us.

    Another issue was ANTS. There were many ants in the closet and on the robes. They were on the floor and one even bit my wife while we were laying in bed.

    Other than these issues, the room was very nice. The décor and vibe of the place is exactly what we knew it would be. However, due to this major screw up with the reservation and the way we were treated by the staff, I will definitely never return and will strongly urge others to seek accommodations elsewhere.

    Justice, thank you for taking a moment to share this. Firstly let me say that we apologize for the stress we caused on your wedding night. After internal investigation it is clear that this was human error on our part that caused the initial problem with your room, and then it was not handled with the care & concern that is expected as a guest of The Ruby. Concerning the ants, this was a problem that we were made aware of and has now been addressed appropriately.

    While we certainly understand that a poor experience would lead to your not wishing to return, we do sincerely hope that you might give us a second chance to provide the expected Ruby experience you have likely read in other posts.
