    Elegant venue with top-notch service

I cannot speak more highly of the St. Regis staff in making our wedding a dream come true!! Our main point of contact, Teri Wedge, did an absolutely marvelous job. She is one of the nicest people ever and was so so accommodating and communicative. She went above and beyond to make our wedding exactly what we wanted. She was so responsive to emails and was with us every step of the way. The venue itself is gorgeous with top-notch service. I wanted a wedding with a classy and elegant atmosphere and the St. Regis delivered!

If you are looking to have a hotel wedding, the St. Regis Houston is the best hotel to have a wedding reception in Houston. The only limitation is the size of the banquet room, as the maximum number of guests is 240. We had 200 people at our wedding, and while the tables did not feel too cramped, the dance floor was a bit small. But beyond that, everything is at the St. Regis is perfect. Our coordinator, Teri Wedge, knows everything about how to make the reception run smoothly, from the timing of each course being served to when to make toasts and cut cake, etc. She will work really hard on finding deals for you to make sure you get what you want within your budget. She was very easy to work with and would meet with us even if we called the morning of the day we needed to meet with her.

Pevo, the banquet chef, is a genius. He is creative and enjoys customizing the menu for you if you want to stray from the pre-set banquet menus. On the day of our tasting, we couldn't decide on which side dish to serve with our entree. He came out to meet us and talk to us, and 20 minutes later delivered english pea and manchego risotto, which was delicious and when we served it at the wedding, we received abundant compliments.

The St. Regis is very detail oriented, and the entire hotel staff make you feel special on your wedding weekend. The minute I entered the hotel on Thursday afternoon until the minute I left on Sunday morning, every employee I passed greeted me by name and said "congratulations". It was quite impressive.

I had the pleasure of working with Tobias Rimkus at the St. Regis. He was my FAVORITE person I worked with throughout the wedding process. He is incredibly responsive and sharp as a tack. He always had an answer for me and never minded if I needed to ask a million questions (which I did!!). Everything at the St. Regis is first class, including the service. The dinner was so good, and it's tough to have incredibly good food at a wedding. Somehow they manage and we were all blown away the entire night. Every time my husband or I turned around the woman assigned to help us out for the evening, Gladys, was there asking what we needed. She made our night so lovely! I can't say enough about the catering department, Tobias and Gladys. They all go above and beyond and it made our wedding SO fabulous!

I worked with Rachel Eschete, Catering Sales Manager, at the St. Regis Hotel in Houston. She was SUPER responsive and patient with me. She gave suggestions when asked but never overwhelmed me with ideas or opinions. The only complaint I have on her would be that she was not present when my other vendors started to arrive at the venue. My bridesmaid had to coordinate and call the one vendor who was slightly late. Rachel had said that she would be handling those issues if they occurred and she most definitely did not. However, the venue itself and the staff were amazing. The staff that took care of us was amazing, we wanted for nothing. The only reason I took off points for professionalism is because one of our guests walked by the kitchen right after cake had been cleared from the room and saw that the staff was eating our groom's cake. When we asked later if they had packaged any up for us we were told that there was not any remaining. It's a small thing and it didn't affect the day but it was decidedly unprofessional and rude.

If you desire a classy, unforgettable experience for your guests... formerly the old Ritz Carlton of Houston, the St. Regis hotel is intimate and luxurious, with gilded gold decorative accents throughout the hallways, tall ceilings, and a recent remodel to all areas of the hotel. The accommodations were lovely and modern with overly spacious bathrooms. It is simply gorgeous, and unlike any other hotel in Houston. We toured MANY hotels and wedding venues, but this one outshines them all. The hotel has all the amenities of a big hotel, but the special touches and extra amenities only found at the St. Regis including a beautiful tea room with harp music, a famous masculine bar for the guys to hang out before the wedding, intimate meeting areas for family, and a separate valet area for your wedding guests.

Space: you receive the entire floor dedicated to your needs with extra ballrooms on the sides for meeting with wedding party. For the ceremony and reception, we used all of the Astor ballroom for approx 165 guests. The room was flipped during the cocktail hour like magic. We never saw anything behind the scenes. Our guests were seated on spacious round tables of 8-10, and two huge head tables that looked like royal feast tables. Despite the large number of people in the ballroom, we never felt cramped and never bumped into anyone. There was no bad seat in the room.

Food: AMAZING. The chef customized our menu with new creations.

Coordinator: Jennifer P. was friendly, helpful, and always immediately responsive to our questions and concerns. She not only did everything possible to customize our event, but she did it with a smile and exceeded all of our expectations. I could not say enough good things about her. If you book with St. Regis, you will want to ask for her.

Benefits: free suite rooms for us and our parents and an unbeatable group rate that sealed the deal for us.
