    Gaylene, Jillian and the rest of the W Midtown's staff were truly amazing! They were very professional and accommodating. Gaylene worked through the planning process with us, and was by our side even through her pregnancy. When Gaylene was no longer able to work, Jillian stepped in. Jillian was just as helpful and professional as Gaylene. Jillian did an amazing job of ensuring that everything went smoothly during the wedding.

    In addition to the amazing staff, the food was simply delicious. It was like eating at a 5 star restaurant, not a wedding. The guests are still talking about how great the steak was!

    Quite possibly the best thing about having our wedding at the W Midtown, though, was the view. As soon as my husband and I stepped into the reception hall, we know that it was our wedding venue. The W is a beautiful hotel in and of itself, but the view will take your breath away. It was the perfect locations for our modern, romantic wedding.

    The most incredible venue for your wedding! Our guests were wowed by the views, the gentle, romantic lighting, and service! I just wish we could do it all over again. We highly recommend the W Atlanta Midtown. Its location, in the center of it all, make it the best wedding weekend spot, trust me, your guest will be thanking you for years. It's only been weeks since our big day and our guests have already requested that we plan our 1year anniversary back at the W!

    The team at the W was highly professional. We had a lot of last minute changes in our wedding, but our coordinator, Gaylene, handled everything like the true professional she is. Our day was absolutely beautiful and we got a great value. If you are getting married at the W Midtown, be sure you ask for Gaylene!

    Do not have your wedding or event here (from sad bride)

    Please, do yourself a favor. Do not have a wedding or event here. Planning with the W has been incredibly stressful, upsetting, and frankly ruining the entire wedding process. They will nickel you for every dime, completely not respond after you've already paid them and followed up multiple times, overcharge on made up fees that you never knew about, and overall will make what should be a beautiful weekend feel pretty miserable. So you don't go through what I went through (and I am one to rarely ever write a bad review), save yourself the effort and go elsewhere.

    Do not use for wedding block!

    DO NOT USE FOR GROUP/WEDDING BLOCKS. Definitely not the same W Hotel standards. In fact, it is not managed by the same Marriott regional group as the other W Hotels in Atlanta.

    Extremely difficult to work with - slow response times and/or complete lack of communication across all depts, poor service during guests’ stay, double charged rooms and took a month for receive refund. Still haven’t received receipts for all the room charges.

    Would strongly discourage. Will add incredible amount of stress to you and your guests during wedding planning.

    Please do not book

    Please do not book any event for your wedding here. The event staff is not attentive, not helpful, and do not care. Unfortunately, we had our cocktail hour and welcome breakfast here as most of the guests along with us (bride & groom) were staying here and that was the worst call we made. The welcome breakfast did not have burners to keep the food warm although it was a 2-hour event. After the first 30 minutes all food was cold. The room was ugly, and I was unable to choose a better room because I was never given the option to. Catering director, Walter, is a nice man but does not care to help you for your event. He never gave suggestions on how to make the event better, more aesthetically appealing, fun, literally anything. The director took a very long time to answer my questions/emails. I had trouble getting a hold of him on the phone, even to pay our event bill! I have never experienced hounding down a vendor to pay them, ridiculous. The event staff because of poor leadership that doesn't care, in turn don't care at all. For the cocktail hour the linens were not placed in an organized manner, literally thrown on. The tables and chairs were hideous and when I tried seeing them before the event, I was never given pictures in advance to choose. The bartender was nice, but he did not do a last call for our guests, again it is a 2-hour event this is standard. Everything was just so hap hazard and I understand my event was not the biggest attendance, but it is our wedding day! A very special and important moment in our lives. For this terrible service, ugly rooms/rentals and cold food you would think it is affordable? ABSOLUTELY NOT, so much money wasted on a mediocre experience. Definitely the worst part of our day and reason we weren't completely happy during our wedding.
