Jenny was amazing to work with!! I decided to get a wedding cake two weeks before my wedding and she was so fast to work with and the best part- the cake was delicious!! All of my guests raved about my funfetti cake!! -
Brad Sent on 10/15/2017The Sweet Life Bakery was recommended to us by our flower / decor vendor when we told them we wanted a cake that would be a showpiece and MAN were they a good call! They made us a three-tier beauty w/ different layer sizes and fondant techniques (marble, metallic finishes, etc). Jenny here was a pleasure to work with and she recommended a chocolate cake with dark chocolate ganache and fresh raspberries -- All of our guests RAVED about how good it was. Between the reception and farewell brunch, the entire cake was eaten. Thankfully, Jenny told us that if we came back to town for our anniversary, she'd make us a small version to share on our one-year. I can't say enough good about Nola Sweet Life Bakery. They're awesome!

User2099144 Sent on 04/16/2015Our wedding cake was absolutely amazing! The flavors were incredible and the cake was super fresh. It just looked gorgeous as well! We did cupcakes with a top cake tier, and Jenny made sure to make it look stunning. It fit in with our color scheme perfectly and the added sparkle made it over the top. I can't wait to be in New Orleans again one day and stop by to get more cupcakes! -

In order to understand what a treasure this bakery is, let me first tell you about my previous experiences. I went to Swiss Bakery. They gave me a little sample that tasted like a cake mix, then told me to choose a cake from one of the pictures. No customization. Then I went to Gambino's. Our appointment didn't show up, so they gave us to another woman whose accent was so thick, we couldn't even understand her! Their cakes were beautiful, but their sample was dry and stale. The fillings looked like some jelly out of a can.
Then we tried Sweet Life. (sigh of relief!) The owner of the bakery was the one who helped us. She was young and friendly. She offered us 4 large samples (about the size of cupcakes) that were fresh and warm from the oven. Their cake had more flavor than anything I've ever put in my mouth! And their fillings are to die for! I ended up ordering the almond cake with an almond cream-cheese filling.
As for the design, they were the only bakery in town who could give us an affordable 3-tier cake that would feed 35-40 people. The owner worked with us, and must have redesigned our cake 4 times. Never said a word or complained. She acted like we were the most important people in the world. My fiance and I are so happy we chose Sweet Life!
Looking forward to a simple, yet elegant wedding cake with a little bit of New Orleans flare! -
User1896268 Sent on 10/30/2014Both our wedding cake and grooms cake looked perfect and tasted delicious! Everyone loved them!! Sweet Life was very responsive with any questions we had before and after we chose them to make our cakes. We loved them during our tasting and how light and fresh the cakes tasted compared to others that were just too sweet. Nearly all of the wedding cake was gone; half of the grooms cake was left but apparently there wasn't a box to put it in after the reception so we didn't get to take any home. I hope we can find a way to have a small cake made for our anniversary since we didn't end up saving any of the original wedding cake!

User1757979 Sent on 08/11/2014The cakes were the hit of our reception. Sweet Life did our wedding cake and our groom's cake (NOLA tradition). I think more people took pics of the cake then of us. :) Jenny was really helpful just very very very busy. Order early! :) Overall super super happy with the whole experience.

User883063 Sent on 07/31/2012They are absolutely horrible and I would never recommend anyone use them! The cake looked nothing like what we discussed and they did not secure it to the cake table properly so it fell on the ground. Absolutely horrible experience and when I tried to work with them to get some sort of a refund they refused and said nothing was their fault.
