The University Club of Phoenix Reviews

We had the University Club to ourselves for the whole day until we were finished at 11 p.m. We decorated as we wished and were allowed to play the piano. The food and service were delicious. Everyone agrees that the cake, baked there although you are allowed to bring in your own, was the best wedding cake they had ever eaten. We were looking for a wedding venue that would offer a garden wedding that felt like we were at home. (This is one of the very few places in the Phoenix area that has a real lawn.) We definitely succeeded. One professional wedding make-up artist took me aside late in the evening to say that she had done hundreds of weddings in her time and that this one was delightful and simply the warmest, most congenial event she had ever attended.

Our wedding was amazing! This is place is an old house that was built in the 1920's. Our ceremony and reception was in the backyard. It was great for our 125 guests. It was very cozy and relaxed. We liked this place because they do all the catering and cake. All the food was amazing! We heard from all our guests that they enjoyed the Prime Rib, Chicken Cordon Blu and the cake. Everything was perfect! We also had access to the Heard Museum for pictures.

The University Club provided the appetizers and dinner for our 300 person wedding. The appetizers were both off of the menu and a special request by the bride. Our sit down dinner included salad and meal which was a choice of tortellini, salmon or steak (selected by the bride and groom off of the University Club menu). The food was FANTASTIC from the first appetizer at the beginning to the yummy meal at the end. The always incredible University Club staff was exceptional and handled our large group expertly. The food was served to the entire room in a timely manner and with the best of service. Since our event, our guests have repeatedly commented that the food was delicious and "best food had at a wedding!", and how great the staff was.

We had an amazing reception at the University Club. They were extremely professional, organized, and easy to work with. The quality of food was exceptional. All of our guests enjoyed themselves and commented on how beautiful and unique the venue was. Our wedding was perfect - we couldn't have asked for better service and loved every minute of our day. Thank you so much to Karen, Genie, and all the staff at the club!

This is a PERFECT venue for a lovely and classic ceremony and reception. We LOVED it! I highly recommend the U Club of Phoenix.

We loved having our reception here for our wedding! They were very accommodating to special diet restrictions and cake modification requests. It looked so beautiful on our special night and we were so thankful for all that they did!

They were extremely helpful and accommodating regarding time schedules and adapting menu items to enable a custom menu.

The University Club of Phoenix is a hidden gem and is centrally located in downtown Phoenix next to the Heard Museum on a quiet, tree-lined street. Parking was easily accessible and available for our 150 guests.

We chose to have a late morning wedding in the garden followed with a buffet lunch in the same garden. Guests congregated inside after the ceremony as the garden area was transformed in minutes into the dining area. The food was delicious and was so much more than what we had expected. Everything is made fresh that day and the presentation was beautiful!

From planning to serving, the staff were very professional, responsive and organized. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding or a better venue.

This place worked with the budget we had. We were on a very tight budget but they made it work. We were quoted a specific number for the amount of people we were estimating to have and that number never changed. We knew how much we were to spend the whole time. It’s a great deal but not once was the quality of food and service compromised. Everybody LOVED the food, the service and the location! Outside/garden venue that can also be moved inside if needed. It’s gorgeous and with the lights already put up, the centerpieces were the only thing we worried about. They set up for you too (chairs and tables are provided). I would definitely recommend this place to all my friends. I love it!
