    We actually had pies instead of a wedding cake, but the cake I tasted at Vecoma's vendor fair was amazing. We had 7 different pies at our wedding and they were all delicious. Her German Apple Cake was pie like and still allowed us to cut something together. The Pecan Pie was so amazingly balanced.

    We used the Village Corner for both our wedding and baby shower cake. Their flavors, freshness, and designs are second to none!

    I cannot recommend Hilde and her cakes enough. I have been a patron of the Village Corner since I was a child, and after trying numerous other bakeries, we had our tasting with Hilde, and we knew we were set. She sets aside an hour (an HOUR? Who does that these days?) to sit down with you, taste cake, filling, and icing flavors, to look over her portfolio, and to discuss design, so that she can create a delicious, edible masterpiece for you. While she can make crazy, over the top designs, I think her specialty is elegance. If you want your cake to not only taste delicious, but look stunning and classy, let Hilde back your cake. I found her cakes to be less expensive than other bakeries, while tasting better. Her delivery fees are very low. And she will look at photos and your other Pinterest inspirations, and she will make something that looks BETTER than what you imagined. Look no further--this is where you should get your cake.

    Hilde is the best. Anyone reading this review knows how stressful planning a wedding can be. My wife and I both had full-time jobs when we were planning our wedding (my wife worked out of town), and we failed to realize how much time we would need to plan. Thus, we spent the last few months before the wedding rushing around trying to make sure everything was in place. Hilde was an absolute dream to work with. First, when we went for the tasting, her years of experience shown through as we tried to decide what we wanted. However, what was most impressive was how professional she was, and how much confidence we gained through that. It was a great load off of our minds to know that when we walked out of the cake tasting everything was taken care of and we knew she would do it right. The cake turned out beautiful, and even a year later (when we heated it back up for our anniversary) it was still delicious.

    I was a wedding planner for Sone Mountain Park and my brides used the Village Corner for most of their wedding cakes and grooms cakes. Not one was ever disapointed with the exceptional quality and detail of each cake. They are freshly baked and it shows. I would recomend ordering a bit more than you need, or else there will not be ANY left overs! When I got marrried, there was only one choice for my cake and reception! The Village Corner. It was a perfect night and fabulous cake!!!

    I have used the Village Corner Bakery for many years for every shower that I've thrown for all of my friends along with my own wedding. Every cake was not only absolutely delicious, but also absolutely GORGEOUS! Hilde is the most creative baker I've ever met and I've always just given her creative freedom and she has always well exceeded my expectations. The chocolate/raspberry cake is to die for!

    The wedding cake was the best ever! My fiance' and I sat down with Hilde and she had a wonderful "tasting" experience. David was responsible for picking the cake, filling and icing and I picked what it would look like. It was absolutely perfect! She also made us a chocolate/kaluah cake for the groom - YUMMMM

    We enjoyed our rehearsal dinner at the Village Corner. There were some issues with the salad being a bit wilty from being preprared ahead of time, and the pretzels were not very fresh (the first round, the second round was better). Everyone enjoyed their entrees though. I appreciated Carl's flexibility in working with us on the menu.

    The Village Corner Restaurant was always one of my favorite places to eat in Stone Mountain, and I knew the first time we went when I was 13 that I wanted my wedding cake done by Hilde. Not only was the cake beautiful but it tasted amazing. They were very easy to work with, and reasonably priced.

    This was the most beautiful and delicious cake ever...after a few bites, I got up to dance but the wedding venue had cleared it away when I got back . Darn! I still want some more of that cake.
