User2354127 Sent on 10/07/2015Erica and Laura "aka" The Vision Field did a wonderful job on my wedding. They have such an eye for cinematography. Their editing is soulfull. Its the feeling of having two friends you are comfortable with and trust at your Wedding. Hire Them ! Thank you both so much for such a beautiful experience! Tara -
User2271092 Sent on 08/14/2015I searched for a while to find videographers I could feel comfortable with. I knew as soon as I spoke with Erica and Laura on the phone that they were the ones. I could tell from their enthusiasm and how much they were able to listen that they would make me feel at ease the day of my wedding. Everyone loved them and commented on their positive energy and also how they were so courteous and polite. My favorite shots in our video were some great closeups they took during the ceremony. The video was edited very nicely and in a fun way and included guest interviews which added a nice personal touch. We must have watched it 20 times in the week we got it and relived each moment together. They got it to us faster than expected and we were both very happy. My husband and I were not sure if we even wanted video at first, but now feel this was one of the most important decisions we made. I would definitely recommend The Vision Field.The Vision Field's reply:

We had many surprises and I was very touched how they were able to show the things that really mattered the most to me. It was like they knew me for many years. I felt very comfortable with them, their service was 5+ stars, and they were very professional with a lot of ease . We definitely would recommend them!! -

Can you leave less than 1 star?? I truly don’t know if they are even still in business since they haven’t posted on their social media since Oct 2020, but this is my experience with the Vision Field. We booked them as videographers for our pre-wedding rehearsal dinner and paid in full for our expected July 2020 event in February 2020. The pandemic came along and in May 2020 we had to postpone our wedding and dinner, due to laws in place as well as obvious safety reasons. We postponed to the following year (July 2021). I immediately notified them and they replied saying “We don’t allow postponements or cancellations as our contract states unless there are laws at the current time and date to prevent the service. If that is the case we allow up to 6 months rescheduling if we are Available on your date and you check in with us. We have taken into account what all advice from our industry expertise, lawyers and professionals told us to do and following this protocol with all of our clients.” When I contested this, and asked for sympathy - in a firm but very polite email, they told me they would be on a vacation in Europe during our new date for 2021 and were mad we hadn’t consulted them prior to postponing. Given that the postponement was not something we wanted to do, but were forced to do because of covid, I thought they would be understanding, but they refused to release us from our contract and refund us. It was very frustrating. We ultimately came to an agreement for them to use the money we had already paid in full to render a new service - “a love story shoot.” (In the end, the laws in place would have prevented our wedding from happening anyway - but we had already agreed to the love story). They agreed to give us until May 1, 2021 to do the shoot. In June 2020, I followed up to solidify plans for the love story shoot and asked for an official addendum to our contract. All was signed and I thought it was good. Things were pretty bad with covid still during the summer into fall 2020, so we waited to officially book our new shoot. On February 27 2021, I reached out (though I was surprised they hadn’t ever followed up to schedule anything with us) and asked about setting a date. I suggested a date in Mid-march. They did not reply so I followed up again on March 5, 2021. 2 days later they replied saying that their business was still completely shut down due to covid and that as videographers they would be the last tier to open (which is ironic — since their whole reason for refusing to refund me in the first place was because supposedly they would have been able to render services…). Within the next few weeks, L.A. moved to a new tier of reopening, so I checked in to see if anything had changed - especially since I have many friends who are photographers and videographers who were still working. I asked them what would happen if they couldn’t offer the shoot by the new date we agreed upon - May 1, 2021. They responded a few days later saying their business was still closed but they offered to give us until 6 months from their reopening once restrictions were lifted. (This was all in March 2021). In July 2021, I followed up again and asked them if they were open again for Love Story shoots. I said we’d love to get that scheduled, or if they’d be open to it - we could just have them refund the money and no services would be rendered. I never saw a reply come through so I followed up in October 2021. They replied with a screenshot showing they had sent a message in July offering to schedule something. I’m not sure why I never received it, but I replied very nicely saying no worries! I suggested that we film in mid-late March 2022 either in Santa Monica or at one of the flower fields like Antelope Valley. I asked for their avails in March. That was on October 12. I never got a response. I had finally had it — today on Feb 15, 2022. I sent a firm but polite email pointing out that it had been 2 years since we signed our contract and made a payment and no services had been rendered or attempted. I noted the lack of response to my emails and said we didn’t feel like a priority. I also said “Personally, I can’t imagine being able to put our trust in you to create something special for us, based on how this has all unfolded.. I’m sure you don’t want to put effort into working with a couple that doesn’t want to work with you. I think the whole experience of filming would be so awkward, uncomfortable, and forced for everyone involved.” Because it’s the truth… I also said “I really don’t want to have to take legal action to resolve this, so I’m hoping we can come to an agreement amicably and that you can return our $800, so no one’s time continues to be wasted.” Again - I was not rude in any way - was honest in how I was feeling. In response - I received a truly rude and VERY unprofessional email that read “Dont have time nor getting paid to read your overly dramatic lengthily and false emails. We did reach out many times- it's on your end not responding- have screenshots to private it and documentations and obviously was thinking you are rude for not responding Back to us and not caring and we have a very busy schedule. It's apparent you just want/the money and playing games, drama queen and Lucky for us we actually have an FU fund for bridezillas like yourself that are extremely rude and gladly will pay you off to go away:) Due to your nasty emails and tones and accusations on a few accounts we have chosen not to work with you. You don't have the privilege to work with us. We are terminating with you and sending you your full refund a- we will not tolerate rude drama queen behavior not have the time for people like you. “ My husband replied and asked them to send the money back - providing my Venmo and Zelle info. THANK GOD they did send the money back, but it came with the caption “Full refund back for a rude bridezilla as requested for your love story/wedding shoot rehearsal dinner that was cannceld-you didn’t want to do and sent 3 rude false and accusations. We don’t work with people like you ;)” I am not one to write reviews, but I have to say something. This behavior is psychotic and unprofessional and will not be tolerated. That is no way to speak to a client…or even an ex client. I was NEVER disrespectful in my emails. I commented back (I’ll admit it was a bit petty at this point) “Lol, well thanks for the refund. You ignored my emails for months, even when I suggested locations to shoot at and a date range. 🤷🏼♀ I was firm but not rude in my email to you and then you went off on me and are being childish, but whatever. Have a nice life!!! Also your grammar needs improvement“ to which they responded saying “Sorry for the typo- had some family deaths - your face is ugly - how is that? Also, Go fuck yourself middle finger 🖕 Go FUCK yourself!” Soooo that’s the whole saga about my experience with the vision field. I STRONGLY advise against ever working with these ladies Erica and Laura. They verbally harassed me. They are tactless, childish, and quite possibly not even a legitimate business (though I can’t be sure of that). Maybe they're speaking to me like this because they have nothing to lose? I don't know. But I wanted to warn other brides so no one has to go through something like this.
