    Competent and Efficient

Ashley Beck is a fabulous wedding coordinator! She gets back to emails within minutes and answers every question. She really put us at ease when planning this wedding. We would recommend her services and the Westin. The space itself is beautiful and reasonably priced!

    Great Room Block

We used the Westin Waltham as our hotel block and couldn’t be happier with our experience (our wedding was at Gore Place). We worked with Jennifer Farley, Courtney, and others and they all made our experience seamless. We were able to get enough rooms for our guests and everyone was happy with the accommodations. They included daily starbucks vouchers for our guests (the starbucks is small and not amazing, but a nice option to have) which was incredible to have! We had our rehearsal dinner there and they served a nice plated meal. The staff working at the front desks and at the bar were all friendly and got to know us well during our stay. We were able to use the downstairs lobby the day after our wedding as people left, and the night of our wedding we used the outside terrace for an “after party” which was great! Overall a great experience and we would definitely recommend this as a room block for others.

We couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding! The food, linens, drinks, service-it was all great!!! Richard was a dream to work with-he was incredibly responsive and professional from the moment we connected. He did a wonderful job answering any questions I had, and had no problem handling our specific requests-from centerpieces, signs, special drink requests, even where we should take our first look photos! I had nothing but full confidence in Richard and the staff at the Westin when the big day arrived, and they certainly did not disappoint us. We have had nothing but compliments on how wonderful the wedding was, and guests who stayed at the Westin (which was about half of our wedding) enjoyed their stay. The staff at the Westin truly went out of their way to make sure we had the best day.

Our recent wedding at the Westin Waltham was fantastic. The Eden Vale Ballroom proved to be the ideal space to host (more than comfortably) our 220+ guests. It's an elegant room - one which provided the perfect 'canvas' for us to dress to our liking. The Westin's wedding coordinator - Richard Pimentel - is top notch; he's so easy to work with and offered us many helpful tips to make sure our day went off without a hitch. Without a doubt, I’d recommend the Westin Waltham to other venue-seekers!

We used the Westin Hotel in Waltham for our reception - and it was awesome!! We had such a blast and the hotel was fantastic to work with. While we did change coordinators midway through our planning process, our new coordinator Kate was excellent, and our wedding day really surpassed our expectations!! The food was excellent, both at our cocktail hour and our reception. The drinks were great, and the Westin easily accommodated my husband's request for craft beers. My parents stayed at the hotel for 4 nights and hosted a hospitality room for our out-of-town guests, and were really happy with their stay. On the wedding day, I especially loved that the bridal party and family had a private cocktail hour in a separate room, to grab some photos and enjoy food and drink before greeting all of our guests!! Such a nice touch!

Also, while I expected to have the Presidential Suite the night of my wedding, my coordinator booked it for me for Friday night as well - at our room block rate! I was blown away - it was wonderful to use the suite to get ready in on the day of the wedding! We also hosted an after-party in the hotel bar which worked out great, as our reception ended at 11 pm.

The Westin was a fantastic venue and I couldn't be happier that we used them for our reception!

Angela is the wedding coordinator who is wonderful and made our wedding everything we wanted! We had over 200 people who raved about the food and how beautiful the ballroom looked. The location is perfect for all types of guests from different locations. The package comes with the bridal suite and 2 rooms which were so comfortable. This is a must see for anyone planning a wedding, I would love to get married all over again at the Westin!

I attended a work party at this facility before I even knew my husband and KNEW I wanted my wedding reception there when I did eventually marry! (It's a woman thing) When that day came I went directly to The Westin Hotel in Waltham MA. It is conveniently located right off of Totten Pond Road in Waltham, right off of Rt 128!
The room is beautiful, the cocktail hour location right outside the room is exquisite and the food amazing! We went for a tasting and the food was just as good the night of the wedding when they cooked for 100 people instead of 4!
Your wedding includes a hotel room for yourself, the brides parents and the grooms parents. I have divorced parents and asked if they could include 2 rooms for my parents in addition to 1 for my new in-laws..not a problem! We were lucky enough to be upgraded to the Presidential Suite which was so amazing I could've had my honeymoon in Waltham MA and not left that room. I felt like royalty!
The room looked stunning, the service was amazing, the bartenders attentive, the food delicious and I could not have planned or had a better wedding at a better place! I'd love to do it all over again and I wouldnt change a thing about the reception or menu!

Ask for Richard- he is amazing! Despite coming on board after majority of the wedding details had been finalized with another event coordinator, Richard helped ensure every detail of our Indian Baraat, Ceremony, Cocktail Hour and Reception was pulled together flawlessly. He is calm, professional and a joy to work with. Besides that, the Westin staff is wonderful. Their white glove dinner Reception service was just perfect. Both sets of parents very so impressed that the Day of Coordinators went out of their way to check in with them throughout the evening. The Westin is a little pricey, but for the service you are getting- it is worth every penny.

Delicious food for our welcome dinner on a Friday night. We heard many positive compliments from the guests. Service was prompt and friendly. A few mix ups in the menu, but nothing that detracted from the evening.

    Several service issues

There were several service issues from the beginning of the weekend to the end. Yes they compensated some but issues should t have happened.

Bridal suite not ready until after rehearsal. I had to get ready in a temporary room.

Function room for makeup and hair was not ready at time promised.

All Guests were not given guests bags.

We were not given champagne for our wedding night.

We wee charged for the room Saturday night at first. Yes, it was then taken off, but it was a charge on our account for over two weeks.

We asked for ice cream for dinner and not given it.

We used the Westin Waltham as our room block for our wedding at the Charles River Museum of Industry in Waltham. Leading up to the day of, everyone was very responsive to all questions and emails, but the weekend of our wedding was a little different. We checked in the day before our wedding and we were unable to get into our room until almost 4pm (unlike their 3pm guaranteed check-in time), which I wouldn't have cared about but people had to get to our rehearsal at 4:15 making everyone late. For the day of our wedding, we had our bridal party that needed to be on a trolley at 3:30pm, making it a close cut for the few that weren't staying two nights that had check in at 3pm, but we were able to personally request those few guests to check in early (we understood it was not guaranteed), and we thought that would be great if possible. Then the parents of the groom called early and were told they could come in at 1pm for their room which was great; but then they arrived at 1:15pm and their room wasn't ready until 2pm - not great. They finally received an upgrade after finding the manager that was supposedly on a lunch break or something. Then for some reason my parents' room keys were deactivated for their second night of the reservation and needed their keys renewed when they reserved for two nights. Luckily I was unaware of any of this on the day of! The rooms were fabulous and huge and very clean (we had a junior suite and it was far bigger than I had expected), but the service and the organization is a bit lacking. It definitely is the best hotel in the area and the wedding block rate was AMAZING, so overall we were satisfied, but the management in the place could have definitely helped out a lot more.

The only stressful and problematic part of planning a wedding was my experience with the Westin Waltham Boston - our wedding was not at the hotel, but it was about 3 miles from the venue. Communication was poor; my guests had so many issues booking in the room block, some were told there were no rooms available when indeed there were, other guests had difficult time changing their reservations when they needed to.

The weekend of our wedding we have over 100 guests (over 45 rooms) staying from out of town. Although some guests were able to check in early or on time, most were not able to check in until way after the 3pm guaranteed time (our reception started at 5pm, many guests were in tern late). Only some of my guests received the gift bags that they were supposed to distribute. Countless guests waited at the front desk with no staff available to help.

The only redeeming quality was that the price was decent for the area. It is clear that this hotel values more of its corporate events and clients as oppose to wedding guests and out of town visitors. I would really do my research before signing a contract with this hotel for a wedding block!

We considered The Westin Waltham as a potential dinner reception venue. The initial meeting with the coordinator was fine and our options seemed nice. However, we had some questions regarding pricing that the coordinator promised to address after she reached out to the revenue team. She gave a time that she would let us know by, but did not do so. We reached out by phone and she apologized for being busy. We reached out again by email and she said she would have the pricing information sent to us the next day, but we didn't hear from her. We gave up after a month of this and decided to go with another venue.
