  Helpful and many sizes

  Being a non skinny bride I was worried about going and trying on dresses. I'd heard stories about places being down right rude to plus sized girls. White dress was not rude in the slightest. My size never came up, no back handed comments either, they had pulled dresses in the sizes I had specified on the getting to know you sheet. They didn't try to push the most expensive dresses either. They listened to what I was wanting in a wedding dress and did their best to deliver, which they did.

  Great experience and helpful staff!

  I had the best bridal experience there with Cynthia as my consultant and also the help of Daniel which are two of the greatest consultants I had ever met. I recommend the white dress for any bridal needs!

  Great Value, Beautiful Dress

  I had trepidation regarding choosing attire - I was afraid that a dress company wouldn't serve us because my wife and I are gay, plus I wanted to wear a suit and my wife was the one who wanted the fancy white dress, so plenty of dread going in.
  
  The experience was painless. My wife called and made an appointment for a Saturday, we were greeted in a friendly manner, and the gentleman who assisted us with choosing a style and trying out the different dresses made a lot of great suggestions. The one my wife ended up choosing was the one she had her eye on the entire visit, but she wanted to try it on last to give the others a chance. Turns out, it was the one!
  
  The sale was great and kept us in our budget, we had plenty of time to pick the dress up, we had it steamed during the week before the wedding, and I'm planning on having it preserved through the White Dress of Lexington. Everything has gone smoothly, the staff is attentive and friendly and remembered us every time one of us came in, and it was a pleasant experience overall.

  The White Dress was great! I went to every bridals store in Lexington and they had the largest and most diverse selection by far. The staff was accommodating but not pushy.   The White Dress provided both THE perfect dress and shopping experience for my daughter's wedding! We went to other bridal shops but did not receive the individual attention we did at The White Dress. Dana Harvey was absolutely fabulous picking dresses which fit my daughter's vision and her venue. She was able to find a dress in our budget but that looked WAY over budget! She and everyone at the shop were genuinely nice and wanted to make this a great experience for everyone. They were realistic about the timeframe for getting her dress back after ordering which helped in our planning. The dress came in earlier than expected which gave us plenty of time for minor alterations. The dress looked absolutely perfect for my daughter. I would recommend Dana and The White Dress to anyone looking for not only a beautiful wedding dress but a wonderful wedding experience for their daughter!

Julia and Dana are a joy to work with. They listened to our ideas, helped the bride find the perfect dress, provided the name of a great person to do alterations, and helped with ideas for accessorizing. They respond quickly to questions and or concerns. They are knowledgeable, and their store has SO MANY options! Brides will be thrilled to shop there! I will actually miss working with them! Pleasant and stress-free experience. We knew we were in very good hands!

  Julia at The White Dress of Lexington was absolutely wonderful to work with. Prior to my appointment, a stylist contacted me and requested to see my Pinterest inspiration board so that they could begin pulling dresses in the styles that I was interested in. When I arrived to my appointment, my fitting room was already stocked with dresses that they thought I might like. I was also able to browse their selection and pick out others that I liked as well. The store is just the right size--not so large that I felt overwhelmed, but no so small that I felt my options were limited. My stylist (I can't remember her name, sorry!) was so helpful and encouraging. When I realized that the style I thought I would love wasn't working, she was immediately able to pull some additional options for me. The staff was so helpful and polite, and helped my bridal party feel right at home by talking with them and offering light refreshments while I was in the fitting room.
  
  After I had purchased my gown, the store was fantastic about letting me know when my shipments arrived. If I had any questions, they were very responsive. Julia was also very patient with me regarding jewelry. I initially purchased a necklace and bracelet at my first visit, but as the months passed I decided that I didn't like them. She allowed me to choose a new jewelry set and even ordered some earrings for me that were shown as out-of-stock on David Tutera's Embellish website.
  
  The only recommendation I would make to other brides is make sure that you let your stylist know if you have a strict budget up front. I wasn't specifically asked about my budget, but honestly the dresses here are very affordable so it wasn't really an issue. Overall Julia at The White Dress of Lexington was absolutely wonderful!

Not only did they help me in and out of all those layers upon layers of tulle over and over and over again, they also checked with the maker of the dress to make sure I could order the dress in the fit I needed in the material I wanted and with all the details that I loved! They were extremely patient with me and my family. We finally had it down to 2 dresses on our second visit, and decided on getting the "one" on our third visit after trying them on back to back. Three times they went through all this with us and they were so amazing, understanding, and gave completely honest opinions the entire time, each and every time. Amazing!!! You will not be disappointed!!!! Skip David's Bridal and go straight to here!!! Don't settle for less when you can get the BEST with The White Dress!!!!

  I love my dress soooo much. Everyone at the white dress shop is friendly and helpful and encouraging and excited for you. They take only 1 bridal appointment at a time and this really makes them stand out. You and your whole squad get the whole store and all the attention. there's one dressing room where you try on dresses and then in the front of the store is a sort of podium and large mirror in good lighting to view the dress. They steam your dress for free the week of the wedding too!

  Beautiful dress, reasonable price

  Very helpful, and dress selection different than other vendors. We’d been to 5 other places first, but found The Dress here. Very helpful but low key salespeople so we felt no pressure or time constraints. Very reasonable prices, but had an intimate feel.

They are small so my party had to share sitting area and the mirror with another. I had sent them many dresses of what I was looking for, and they said they had several of them.   My dress was beautiful and I loved it! The bridesmaids dresses were gorgeous too- however they ordered a size 16 for one of my bridesmaids when she ordered a 6 and wouldn't send it back for the right dress, they tried to tell my bridesmaids that the dresses I picked out were navy not once but twice after I had called and confirmed they were mint, after everyone came and ordered their dresses about two weeks later they call me and tell me one of the dresses had been discontinued and they didn't check that before everyone ordered them. I just thought they didn't communicate well at all. They also told me it would take 10 weeks to get my dress altered and it took 2. I just felt like the situation was handled poorly and poor communication. Also they called me three separate times to confirm my order when I had already confirmed with the previous two sales reps. Again no communication.

  Very poor service

  I just want to warn the public to prevent another bride from the duress this business has caused from their mistakes. It first began with the neglect of informing me they do not do alterations. When I picked up my dress they did not let me try it on because they were too busy, even though I had an appt. I was told just to try it on at home and if any there were problems to call. I called because the dress was four inches to long. They said there was nothing they could do about the dress and would send a list of seamstresses--they never did. A rush was paid for the bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dress, and the groomsmen vests. They never called when they arrived and when I called to check on the items and was told "yes, they have been in over a week." I went to pick up the items and two vests were the wrong color, one of the bridesmaids dress was the complete wrong style dress, the flowers girl dress was lost, and the other bridesmaid dresses were 3 to 4 sizes too big. All they could do is say sorry and blame another employee. They did reimburse for the two vests and I was told I could go to another store to try to match the rest of the bridal party. They refused to reimburse for the wrong dress, which I had the receipt, and said there was nothing they could do. The wedding is in a month and I have had to pay again for a rushed order from another store, all new bridesmaid's dresses and all new vests to ensure they are the same color. I just hope to prevent another bride from having to lose money, the stress, loss of sleep, and anxiety

  I just want to warn the public to prevent another bride from the duress this business has caused from their mistakes. It first began with the neglect of informing me they do not do alterations. When I picked up my dress they did not let me try it on because they were too busy, even though I had an appt. I was told just to try it on at home and if any there were problems to call. I called because the dress was four inches to long. They said there was nothing they could do about the dress and would send a list of seamstresses--they never did. A rush was paid for the bridesmaid dresses, flower girl dress, and the groomsmen vests. They never called when they arrived and when I called to check on the items and was told "yes, they have been in over a week."   Go somewhere else

  I do NOT recommend The white Dress of Lexington because of the terrible customer service that I and another family member received. I specifically ordered a size 12 months flower girl dress for my daughter and was told it would cost a certain amount. When I ordered the dress I asked if I should go on and pay for it, and they said no you can once it’s in.
  
  I called to check on the order status, only to find out that it still had not been ordered and that “they would take care of it”.
  
  They definitely took care of it.
  
  Instead they ordered a size 2 in the dress (which cost a lot higher) and did not care to explain to me that the specific dress I ordered “a size 12 months” was not even offered in that dress.
  
  Without so much as any apology at all, they happily collected my $. The money that was $70 over what I was originally told.
  
  I ended up spending even more $$ to have the dress altered down several sizes. Upon pickup of the dress they offered to be able to alter the dress (I did not order) however, I would not have been able to physically take off work and take my child to and from Lexington for fittings (with only 1 week before the wedding!).
  
  I reached out to one of the owners privately and asked if they would help out by covering the alternation fee.
  
  They completely ignored my request and didn’t even say a simple “sorry for your inconvenience”. This same person even previously spoke with me, so I do know they received my message.
  
  I am NOT a person who complains to a company… EVER. So for me to take this time to construct this review says a lot.
  
  My request is to be UP FRONT to customers in the future. If you do not offer a dress in a certain size… simply explain that to your customers. They deserve that service.

  Worst shop ever.

  In August of 2018, I went to a bridal show in Lexington. When I came to the booth for White Dress of Lex, they had a dress on display that caught my eye. I hadn't shopped for any dresses yet. They had a promotion that day, that if you sign up for an appointment in their salon, you get a coupon that is for a free veil up to $200 value with the purchase of $1,000 dress.
  So, in September 2018, I went to my appointment I had scheduled with the White Dress of Lexington at the bridal show the month before. Tried on about 10 gowns and finally found the one. They took my measurements to know what size to order my gown in. When we went to purchase, we handed them the coupon for the free veil with $1,000 purchase and they wouldn't honor it because my dress was $999.00!!!!!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me?! What a disgrace. This should have been the red flag to walk out of the store right then and there. But I loved the dress i found. I purchased it and a veil anyways but was so mad they wouldn't honor the dress. Fast forward to February when my gown arrived to the store. I tried it on and it was SO SO SO tight! I mean, i could hardly walk, and sure as hell couldnt sit. The lady helping me said "If you plan on losing weight, the dress will fit, and there is room to let it out." So, we take the dress home and I Begin my weight loss plan. I gave it until May and tried the dress on again after losing 15 pounds and 9 inches. THE DRESS WAS STILL TIGHT. The leg part of the dress was so tight I could not even sit down. The top was huge from where I lost the weight. I knew even if we let it out as much as we could it still wouldn't fit in the legs. We called The White Dress of Lex to see if we could bring it in and get a new size or trade it out with the sample I tried on in store. 1- the woman who took my measurements in September should have known that this dress material has no give or stretch to it AT ALL and should have ordered a size up from what she did and have the top taken in. 2- When I went in February and tried it on and it was skin tight, they should have known that i did not need to leave with that dress, instead of telling me that it would fit with weight loss and alterations.Obviously there was "nothing they could do". So, like anyone else would do, we take it to alterations. I went and the lady altered my dress THREE different times in two different locations on the dress. There truly was no hope for this dress. It is completely ruined, not because of my alteration lady, but because the White Dress of Lexington measured and ordered wrong in the beginning. I now had to purchase a new wedding gown (obviously NOT from them) THREE months before my wedding. This shop is absolutely ridiculous and I would never ever ever recommend anyone shopping with them. They were a complete waste of $1,250.00. And now i am out even more money because I had to buy a new wedding gown. Pathetic. 1 star doesn't even do them justice. More like -5.
