Where do I even begin in writing a review for this incredible venue where we had our Wedding this past September 9, 2017! The Woodstock Inn is, in and of itself, a beautiful vacation destination for couples and families. As a Wedding venue, it is truly an experience of a lifetime. Once you get married at The Woodstock Inn, you will want to return every year to relive your experience - although we could not wait a year and are returning again in a few weeks :-)
When I first stumbled upon this Inn on a visit to other venues in the region, I thought that it was very posh and assumed it would be out of our budget. All things considered, we found the value of this venue far exceeded the costs. If you compare to other venues where you have to bring in caterers and rent each and every item, etc. it is surprisingly reasonable. The cost per plate is moderate and the food is absolutely spectacular. Yes I said it - amazing food at a wedding! What a novel idea. Every guest was blown away by each item that was served - fresh, local, and cooked to perfection by their incredible French chef who painstakingly sous vides each protein to ensure each and every guest has an incredible dish. This is not your every day wedding or catered food so prepare to be blown away during your tasting. The pastry chef is also incredible and customized a beautiful cake with lemon curd and fresh blueberries, and custom colored macaroons for each table that were not only beautiful, but tasted like they came from a French patisserie.
The open bar was great and our incredible planner worked tirelessly to source some of our favorite wines including Wolffer Rose which is not on their regular menu. Which leads me to Jessica and Meghan, two of the incredible staffers I worked with during the planning process. Jessica was our day-to-day coordinator throughout the process and was incredibly patient, helpful and communicative. This was truly a 5-star experience and we wouldn't change a single thing!Where do I even begin in writing a review for this incredible venue where we had our Wedding this past September 9, 2017! Wedding of my dreams
My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at the Woodstock Inn & Resort. Venue coordinator Ashley Reynolds was incredible to work with -- she always took time to thoughtfully answer my questions throughout the year (and there were many as I planned long distance) and ensured that everything ran smoothly during the wedding weekend. We felt so at ease knowing that she was our guide. Ashley and the inn's staff were so kind and attentive to our needs and to our guests -- they went above and beyond to bring us a truly remarkable experience. My husband and I had the wedding of our dreams at the Woodstock Inn & Resort. Wholeheartedly Recommend
It was such a pleasure partnering with The Woodstock Inn & Resort team on our wedding. From Megan, who helped us book our wedding and was very accommodating of rescheduling our original date due to the pandemic, to Ashley who helped to coordinate our event and was incredibly down-to-earth and awesome to work with, to Romario, who executed banquet services and was extremely attentive— as well as the servers, bartenders, front desk team, catering staff, housekeeping, doormen, and other team members. Everyone was fantastic.
Thanks to their attention to detail, kindness, and professionalism, we felt at ease and were able to be fully present in enjoying the day.
We actually had several friends and family members tell us "best wedding ever" and “best food at a wedding ever!,” which were such nice compliments to hear, and we owe this positive feedback in large part to this venue.
If you would like to get married in a stunning setting in Vermont, with the support of an A+ events team, while enjoying delicious drinks and bites with your guests, look no further than The Woodstock Inn. We will forever have such fond memories of our wedding and we’re so grateful. It was such a pleasure partnering with The Woodstock Inn & Resort team on our wedding. Incredible, professional staff. Wonderful experience!!
Meghan Chambers made our day so special and seamless - if you have the opportunity to work with her as your coordinator you will not be disappointed! Her attention to every detail ensured that our timeline and every small facet of our decor was as it needed to be. She helped us make countless decisions and offered guidance, up until it was time to walk down the aisle! We were married at the Kelly Way Gardens and had a reception in the Red Barns, and the kitchen/reception staff were incredible and even danced with us!! Could not have asked for a better vendor or experience. Gorgeous setting for a wedding
I was so nervous when the Woodstock Inn's wedding coordinator quit six months before my wedding. Her replacement, Ashley, was fantastic from the moment she started! Ashley was responsive, professional, more than happy to help with custom requests, and overall made the process run smoothly. We loved working with her and were so impressed. Not to mention, the Woodstock Inn is an absolutely stunning venue and are pros at hosting weddings. Perfection! Honestly was the wedding of our dreams and it was in part because of the flawless service we received from everyone at the Inn. All of their hard work and professionalism were nothing short of stellar and we would recommend them again and again.

I can't say enough about Jessica Markey & Meg's wedding team! Wow what a gem. We had our wedding at Billings Farm through the Woodstock Inn. The day was tremendously perfect, magical- felt like we were in a movie. The entire staff made sure none of our guests were ever left without anything. They worked with me to make all my dreams come true, including a wedding day run with pastries on the lawn of the inn. It was so fun! Highly recommend this location and team!I can't say enough about Jessica Markey & Meg's wedding team! Wow what a gem. We had our wedding at Billings Farm through the Woodstock Inn. We had our wedding weekend at the Woodstock Inn & Resort, and I think I'm still floating! Jessica Markey and her team are literal magicians. Every single aspect was taken into account, and they were incredibly understanding, patient and always pleasant. I can't recommend them enough for any special event. Our guests were floored by the level of service, and very glad they made the trip to Vermont! We had our wedding weekend at the Woodstock Inn & Resort, and I think I'm still floating! We were engaged in Woodstock and visited the inn because of recommendations. We didn't originally consider it as a wedding venue because we live in Boston, but as we walked around the grounds of the Inn and explored the town of Woodstock we completely fell in love with its warmth and historical feel. We have worked with multiple people from the inn (from the concierge, wedding coordinator, chef, make-up providers, etc) and they have all been nothing but professional. We were engaged in Woodstock and visited the inn because of recommendations. Where to begin? We hosted our wedding at the Woodstock Inn and couldn't be more pleased with the setting, venue, service and food! We chose the Inn because of its location, elegant decor, gorgeous architecture and wedding offerings. It exceeded our expectations in so many ways. Everyone on the staff is incredibly friendly, eager to help and extremely competent. Our wedding coordinator Jessica was well organized, efficient, communicative and very accommodating. She was also a delight to work with - incredibly friendly, welcoming and calming. Our guests and family members raved about her and the rest of the staff. We were also very impressed by the quality of the food - both the salmon and steak entrees were delicious. The Inn's pastry chef did a fantastic job designing our wedding cake as well. We stayed in a beautifully appointed Tavern Suite, played golf, relaxed by the pool, had manicures and hair done in the Spa, ate breakfast at the Red Rooster and did yoga on the front lawn. Everything was A+. Most importantly, my husband and I were able to relax and enjoy our day (and long weekend) knowing every little detail was being expertly cared for by the Inn. If you're looking for luxurious accommodations and terrific service in an idyllic country setting, the Woodstock Inn is the perfect choice for your wedding. We can't recommend it enough, and we look forward to returning to celebrate our anniversary next year!Where to begin? We got married at the Country Club - truly the hidden gem of venues available at The Woodstock Inn. Our ceremony was out on the fourth tee box and the reception was at the Club House with the cocktail hour at the Fairway Grill and the reception in the ballroom. We had 80ish guests and the space was the perfect size for our group. Our guests raved about how delicious the food was and the service was impeccable. For me, as the bride, the best part was how our coordinator, Jessica, took care of absolutely every detail. She really took all the stress out of the process and I can honestly say that's a huge part of what made the day so enjoyable for both of us. The managers and staff at the Country Club were all wonderful and took such good care of us. Everyone we dealt with at the Inn, the Spa and the Country Club really went out of their way to make us feel special - thank you!!!We got married at the Country Club - truly the hidden gem of venues available at The Woodstock Inn. To start: this venue is magical. It is a historic white inn, centered on a quintessential New England village green. The town is beautiful and entirely walkable. Our ceremony was on the front lawn, with the inn as the backdrop. Our reception was held in the Rockefeller room, which has floor to ceiling glass windows at one end, overlooking the South Lawn. I planned long distance from California-- without a wedding planner-- (for 50 people) and I can say with all honesty, I only have glowing things to say about this venue and our wedding day. From the bellmen and the front desk, to the hotel wedding coordinator, Ann, to our banquet coordinator, Stephen, to housekeeping, and the spa-- they made my husband and I feel like we were the only two people on Earth. They were 100% responsive to our questions from the beginning, they were able to assist us every step of the way with planning, room selection, menu selection, local vendor selection, etc. Not a single detail was missed, not a single mishap occurred. The food was local and superb. The banquet staff was attentive and concerned with all the guests (for example, replacing a salad immediately for my bridesmaid with a nut allergy, or when I just couldn't stomach eating dinner because I was stressed, the banquet coordinator offered me plain pasta, and brought me seltzer with bitters..) It really takes a village to run a wedding and Woodstock is definitely the village you want running yours. To start: this venue is magical. We had our wedding reception at the Woodstock Inn, with cocktails on the front lawn and dinner and dancing in the Rockefeller Room. It was absolutely lovely, and we got many comments about how classy and elegant the location was. Yes, the venue is expensive, but for us it was worth it because they take care of everything -- the food, tables, linens, service, etc. Devon, the special events coordinator, was so kind and very easy to work with. She met with us twice before the wedding -- once for the menu tasting, and once in the week before the wedding to go over details of the reception and the flow of the evening. It almost felt like having a wedding planner because Devon also coordinated with our DJ and photographer / videographer. We were incredibly pleased with our reception at The Woodstock Inn. The food was all phenomenal- our guests couldn't stop raving about it. We pretty much knew we had made the right venue choice after our tasting; we were so impressed with everything from the appetizers to the side dishes and main courses. There was a great variety to choose from and everything was so good we had trouble narrowing down what we wanted to include. The setting (main dining room) was intimate and elegant. Maggie (the wedding coordinator) was always available to answer questions during our planning and was very knowledgeable and easy to work with. The staff working during our reception were extremely professional and attentive to all of our needs. It was also very convenient to have our gorgeous and delicious wedding cake included in the cost of the buffet dinner.
We only booked one room at the hotel for my parents due to cost, but it appeared to be elegant and comfortable and my parents said they enjoyed their stay.
The cost was higher than some of the other venues we looked at in the area. However, the quality of the food, service and setting more than justified the higher cost. We felt that the higher price tag was worth it to have such spectacular food and service.
We were incredibly pleased with our reception and would highly recommend The Woodstock Inn as a wedding reception venue.

Absolutely amazing experience with the Woodstock Inn, and in particular with Devon, their wedding coordinator. She was extremely knowledgeable, responsive, kind, patient and competent. Our wedding day went off without a hitch thanks to her and her team, and we had no stress becuase we knew she and everyone working there was on top of the details. Definitely not the cheapest place to get married, but beautiful, good food, professional staff and a wonderful experience. They do have some limitations with some of their spaces, for example can't play music in Tavern for the after party, but they are very upfront about these so only a minor deduction. Overall, coudln't recommend highly enough.Absolutely amazing experience with the Woodstock Inn, and in particular with Devon, their wedding coordinator. The Woodstock Inn & Resort is a beautiful location. The food was fantastic - everyone raved about their meals. They even provided a beautiful wedding cake that was built into the cost per head for the food. However, the customer service was poor. Over the course of the year that I was working with the Inn planning my wedding, I went through three "wedding coordinators." The first was great but she unfortunately left the Inn and my wedding was then placed temporarily into the hands of the "conference coordinator" while they were looking for a replacement "wedding coordinator." Then a few months later a replacement was hired and my wedding was passed on to her. Unfortuntely, I think my wedding was the first wedding she coordinated at the Inn. A few things went wrong... one of the side dishes of the meal was completely forgotten. Somehow it never made it to the chef so there was a last minute replacement side which was disappointing. I paid for menu cards to be placed on each table so that the guests knew what to expect on the buffet when they went up to get their dinner but 1.) they put the WRONG DATE on the cards and 2.) they listed the side that had been forgotten and replaced so it wasn't there when guests went to look for it.
The coordinator I was working with seemed very nice and helpful at first. I understood that she had to double check with other people to get answers to some of my questions since she was new so I didn't get upset or bothered by the delayed responses to my questions. What did bother me, however, was that I don't think I saw her once on my actual wedding day. I was completely confused by that. I thought she was my coordinator and that she would be there making sure everything would be running smoothly but not once did she find me and ask me how things were going. I never even saw her so I could approach her myself.
By biggest issue with the Inn occured after the wedding. I had arranged with the Inn ahead of time that my florist would come back to the Inn the morning after the wedding to pick up some of the vases and things that she had loaned to me for some of the arrangements. When she came back the next day, everything was gone and no one at the Inn had any answers for her as to where her stuff was and the Inn even tried to blame ME saying that I never told them she was coming back which was a LIE because I had the conversation with the Inn in WRITING via an email chain with my coordinator. Later they "recovered" her things but my own corrdinator never even called me back when I called asking what went wrong.
All and all, I am completely conflicted about my experience with the Inn. My guests had a fabulous time. Everyone loved their meal and everyone thought things ran perfectly smoothly. And the location really is beautiful. I, however, am just offended by the lacking customer service considering how unbelievably expensive this place was. You would think that with all the money we gave them they would have a little more respect and put a little more effort forward. Now, maybe my case is pretty out of the ordinary. Like I said, my wedding was my coordinator's first at that venue. But slip ups aside, some things to consider if you are thinking about the Inn are: PRICE. They charge a good chunck of change and their alcohol prices are through the roof. I believe someone said they paid $10 for a Crown Royal and Ginger Ale cocktail. Be prepared to pick apart the pricing and not have much room to negotiate. They are the kings and queens of mark ups. And they have a lot of rules so just be ready.
I don't think my wedding was ruined by any means, but there is a part of me that is unsettled. I'm just glad that my guests all had a great time through it all. That made all of this worth it.The Woodstock Inn & Resort is a beautiful location. The food was fantastic - everyone raved about their meals.
